While i was driving home and started to slowly accelerate after being at a stoplight (it was having difficulty accelerating then when i got up to 15mph there was a very loud pop and it didn't want to really want to continue accelerating but lucky i was almost home ) and my a/c compressor exploded and sent shards of medal though my entire a/c system. i was told it was called "black death" my serpentine belt lucky kept spinning around the locked clutch for me to get home. i am having to replace my a/c compressor, condenser, high and low lines, evaporator core, expansion valve, and flushing the lines that don't change. it is currently immobile in my driveway until i can get it completely repaired. my car was built 10/2004
My ac compressor is out so my ac is not working.
The rear door light warning go off and on all the time and the rear door hinges are wearing out a lot.. i feel the rear door everytime i hit a pothole is move

A/c stopped working i live in hawaii and need it to help condensation on inside windshield and side windows when it rains. read there are a lot of problems with crv a/c units failing. was just driving along when i noticed warm air was coming from a/c in on position now loud noises from the unit.
While driving on the expressway, the back window latch popped open. i was not in a place where i could address it @ that time, i was appraching a tunnel. unfortunately, by the time i could pull out of traffic, the window was open completely. kind of a scary situation. it popped open one other time while parked @ my home.
Air conditioner compressor locking up
While on a road trip driving home on a major interstate highway, the a/c compressor went out. after a few miles warning lights went off and the engine temperature shot up and it started overheating. we got off of the highway as fast as we could. when we pulled over, my husband opened the hood and intense steam blew out from the radiator area. turned out that, unbeknownst to us, the compressor seized up and caused the serpentine belt to break, which disabled the water pump. it ruined the damaged the radiator and warped the head gasket. we were 2 1/2 hours from home! once were able to get it repaired and home, we took it in to the mechanic so he could look at the a/c. metal shards were in the condenser and it eventually got into the line and into the compressor. another a/c issue has been the condenser fan. it has to be replaced every 3-4 years. it was replaced 3 years ago. it is out again.
Car in pennsylvania should be on recall and fixed
Informed honda several times that vehicle was taken out of service as salvage in 2014. with last conversation, honda representative advised that the database that honda utilizes for tracking takata airbags is out of date ... and that it would take some time for honda to cease sending recall notices. this failure to maintain up to date records is counter-productive.
Takata recall...i keep getting recall notices but we traded the car in about 6 years ago. we don?t know where it is. we have called honda and gone to the new york state dmv and they can?t remove our name from the list. it is no longer in our possession. please remove our name from the list. thank you, *tr

Our insured took their 2006 honda crv for maintenance. one week later after oil change & differential service - auto caught on fire while in travel. insured auto fire originated at right front under hood. *tr
2005 honda cr-v. rear differential. manual states replace rd fluid every 90k, but dealer continues to claim must be done every 10k. who to believe? not sure of the consequences. my complaint to the dealer was front end noise on hard turns and that was their diagnosis. how could the fluid break down that soon? none of my previous vehicles ever had the problem. *tr
The position of the turn signal at the top of the honda cr-v and the clear lens has resulted in me being hit 3 times in the rear in the 1 1/2 years i have owned this vehicle. the last incident, the person who hit me insisted that i did not have my turn signal on even when he stood behind the vehicle and looked at it -- it was only when pedestrians told him that the signal was on did he finally realize that he just had a hard time seeing it. the first incident the woman said she didn't see the turn signal. in all 3 cases, the accidents occurred on a sunny day. i am constantly being sworn at and yelled at to turn on my turn signal and i get out and look and it is indeed on. the position of the signal at the very top of the vehicle is higher than any other vehicle on the road -- not in a position that people routinely look for a turn signal. in addition, the clear lens make it very difficult to see the turn signal on sunny days-- i have purposely driven behind 2005 cr-vs (the only year that honda had clear lens on the turn signals) and can understand why people have a problem seeing the signal. i called honda and expressed my concern about my safety in this car because the position of the turn signal so high on the car and the clear lens -- i was told that it was the design of the cr-v and they got approval for the design so they were not going to do anything to improve the safety. i asked them why the clear lens were used for only 2005 thinking that other had problems with the clear lens so they switched back to the yellow lens in 2006 but they denied this. they even refused to switch out the clear lens for the yellow lens that they have used for every other year of this vehicle. i wish someone would look into this by driving behind 2005 cr-vs on sunny days and checking out the turn signals. *jb
Air bag sensor under right front seat not working properly. this was found when the dealership insisted i call in my insurance company to look at dampness in the car. i haven't had any resolution to the dampness/mold/mildew issue and no one has addressed the air bag sensor, other than a verbal notification from my insurance company. i've followed what the dealership has suggested in regards to the dampness/mold/mildew - removed the mats (right front was wet underneath with mold), keep the a/c on exterior circulation when the car is closed up & had the car detailed...none of which has solved the problem. they want me to guarantee payment of over $4000 to have the carpet removed, car 'dried' out & carpet replaced. *jb
First oil change at dealership on my 2005 honda crv at 3500 miles. flames bursting out the following day, with oil spraying all over. no injuries. towed to dealer to fix. oxygen sensors needed replacing. apparently, this defect has been known about for a couple years, but dealer still flubbed the oil change.
