the button on our shifter stuck inside the shifter itself and we were unable to turn the car completely off...ran the battery down and needed to jump start the car. had to use a screwdriver to get the button out again. checked to see if my car was in a recall and nothing was showing. how is this possible? many other honda crv owners are having this exact problem. it's not safe
The push button on the transmission shifter broke off and could not shift the car out of drive in a safe manner. had to put parking brake on (was on an incline)and shut off car and look for the button. was able find it and insert it temporarily to get home.
I bought my honda crv ex on 7/19/2019 and mileage is 3,760 miles. on the way to work along a city street road in the morning on 2/2/7/2020 i heard loud pop and crack formed two spontaneous cracks coming from edge of windshield on both driver and passage side.
Intermittently the "safety system" items stop working- adaptive cruise, lane assist, etc. this happens even when there is no rain/ fog/ physical obstruction, etc. after few hours it starts working. happens every few weeks.
The vehicle vibrates excessively when at a stop light. it starts vibrating intensely when idling. it will stop if i turn on the ac or heat to a moderate range and it seems to cancel out the vibration. it has been checked out and there is nothing they can do to fix it. this is a known issue with prior models, but it was supposedly fixed in the 2016 vehicle.
While driving down the hwy at 65 mph the button in the gear shift popped out. it is a piece of plastic and it broke inside the gear handle. i drove home but without this button inserted i am not able to shift to park, reverse, drive. i took it to the westhills honda dealer for repair. i was told there was a recall on this same issue but not for this vin. to me this is a very serious concern.
My wife was traveling thru an intersection with a railroad track running across the far side of the intersection when the honda sensing system caused the car to suddenly stop. there were no obstructions in the roadway and she stopped just short of the railroad tracks. if someone had been traveling close behind her, a collision may have occurred.
I am having problems with the heater on the passenger side as relates to honda tsb 14-0063. having hard time to defrost my windshield which create safety hazard with visibility and keeping the car warm. feeling the honda should issue the recall bulletin on this issue.
I just purchased a used 2014 honda cr-v and after driving away from the dealer, the driver's side heat and defrost system would only blow cold air. the passenger side heat and defrost works fine. this occurs when the vehicle has reached operating temperature, and occurs whether moving or stationary. it is dangerous to have compromised defrost ability. this is a problem that has been known to honda since 2014 (see service bulletin attached below).
