My car was struck in an accident in which the air bags did not come out, not a single one. my car was stationary at a traffic light on a city street when another car at full speed struck from behind. from the impact the seat was twisted and once again no airbags came out. additionally, the seat belt got stuck and once i unbuckled my seat belt it did not return to its place like it normally does. within this complaint, i will attach pictures from the crash and it shows how the airbags did not come out.
Ongoing issue. headrest angle is nonadjustable (only height is) and thus isn't safe for everyone. it pushes the head down and compromises spinal alignment. people with thinner torsos or who sit more upright are at the most risk. options to fix this involve using padding on the back of the seat or bending the bars in the headrest, both of which would provide sufficient daily comfort, but could result in injury in an accident. a much better solution would be the ability to adjust the angle of the head restraint for proper positioning and associated instructions in the safety section of the car's manual.
We were stopped in traffic, seat belts were fastened, turn signal on, and we were rear-ended by a work van moving at very high speed. our car was totaled. the front seats were broken due to the impact. no airbags deployed. not front, not side.
Tl* the contact owns a 2015 honda civic. the contact stated that the head restraints force her head forward in a difficult position. the contact was uncomfortable while driving the vehicle. the vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the head rests could not be adjusted for safety reasons. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the issue. the approximate failure mileage was 5,500.
Headrest and concaved seats are making my life miserable. i have a long commute in la traffic to/from work. i usually use the time to relax and decompress from a day of teacher, instead this time has become dreadful and painful experience. i've have back problems and next problem for years and i've recently realized its my stupid car! i just returned from a 3 week trip and my back problems were nonexistent during my travels...first day back home and driving and my back is killing me again! in hindsight, this has been the same for previous trips. such a disappointment as i've been a loyal honda driver.
Vehicle head-rest forces the head into an uncomfortable position causing neck pain.
We purchased this car on april 11, 2015. don't drive the car everyday. however, every time i am in the car, even for short distances, i get really sick--headache, nausea, tightness in the head, and extreme tiredness. i am not prone to car sickness, and have driven a brand new honda accord previously, and have never experienced these symptoms before. a 2011 report cites honda civic as being the 'healthiest' car to drive. has something changed in the materials that honda now uses? is anyone else experiencing these problems? what can i do next? how long before ventilation dissipates these issues?
