Applied water from a garden hose to the roof of my car in an effort to remove leaves and other vegetative debris that was stuck to the body of the vehicle. when i applied water at regular pressure to the roof, large sections of paint came off of the roof. i have filed a case with american honda but they are arguing this particular paint color does not fall under the current class action lawsuit. however, it is very obvious the paint that was applied to the roof of my car failed due to a defect.
My wife and i have a 2012 honda civic which seriously is a nightmare in repairs a lot of maintenance issues involving electrical as well as the car lacking power and the car needing to replace electrical harness due to the wires bing wrapped in some kind of sweet texture that rodents seemed to enjoy to much. furthermore with the amount of problems we had with his car at 66100 miles i would much rather go back to my 95 honda civic 92 honda civic or 93 honda civic del sol any other day than this jung what kind of car needs an update for its diagnostics to work seriously. what is it iron man needing a charge this car is junk the battery don't last that long and furthermore when they decide to recall this battery what is vehicle you can gladly take your jalopy back... don't buy a honda unless you want to wish to buy new like we did and throw thousands and thousands of dollars into your vehicle to have it run like junk. toyota camry or corolla here i come... because this vehicle resale value sucks and so does everything else about the vehicle the gas mileage is not at all what you should claim it to be especially for ecoboost motor so yeah sad thing is my family has bought three hondas and this is the last time they see any of our retirement this car is seriously junk you can gladly take my back even if you don't recall it all rights can send it back to you in confetti us army ranger....
The honda technician at manly honda, santa rosa, ca, said that there is a fault in the anti-theft section, causing the charging system to not function properly, such that the car cannot start after a few hours of not driving. he said they were incapable of fixing it. this issue became progressively worse over a three year period.
I believe it is the motor mount causing the vibrations when i start the car and back up. the vibrations stop when the car is put in drive. no more vibrations until next day and problem resumes. car only has 28808 miles.
My car (manual) was parked in first gear on an incline in my jobsite parking lot. the emergency brake was not engaged. within 1-2hrs it rolled back nearly hitting my place of business and an ac unit. it is all on camera. it rolled some, then stopped, then again rolled and stopped. it has never done this in the past but i typically have the e-brake engaged. days before, i was sitting in my same vehicle after it was parked for several minutes and it jerked suddenly. it did not roll back at this time.
When the passenger side door arm rest is leaned on, the dashboard simulates "door open" and the interior light comes on. this happens when sitting still or moving.
The film on the back window apparently has come loose. i can no longer see out the back window. which appears to be a safety hazzard to me. this is when i am driving the vehicle on any street or highway.
My car literally stop working out if nonwhere while it was in motion driving through an avenue. i thought it was the battery, tried to charged it and i did not work. towed it to the mechanic, they changed the battery and the alternator, spent about 600 and still did not work. i ended up towing my car home from the mechanic place. i waited about a week, turned my car on, and it started working perfect. i took it to honda shop, the run some test and they said it does not have anything. a week ago it died again, tried to turned my car on again, and it work. i do not trust my car for driving anymore. i am afraid it will stop working out of non where. i
The check tpms system warning light come on and off irregularly. sometimes for a few days then off for a day, then on again. tires and pressures are fine. no leaks.
I was driving home from work on a highway (though slowly, as there was traffic), when i noticed smoke from under the hood on the driver's side. i pulled over, got out of the car, and went to open the hood to see what was going on. as i went to open it, i saw flames, so i left it down, grabbed some belongings, got far away, and called 911. within seconds, the flames engulfed the entire front end of the car. my car was well-maintained with regular service. there were no lights on the dashboard indicating that anything was amiss. i did not hear any unusual sounds preceding the flames, and the car had been handling the same as it always did.
Whining noise in front left of motor when taking off in first gear. read multiple complaints from other consumers having the same issues.
I had been driving on the street for about 5 minutes with my two kids. i had stepped on my brakes a few times and everything seem to work. suddenly, i needed to slow down and pressed on my brake and the brake was hard where i couldn't step down on it. it seemed like it got stuck. i kept pressing on it and it did not work. i started zig zagging back and forth on the road trying to get the car to stop. i was trying my best to control the car so i wouldn't run into a house or another car. i shifted the car to park and the car did not stop. all this time i kept trying to step on the brake and nothing would happen. finally, my last resort i pulled the hand brake and the car finally stopped. my car got very damaged.
Horn fails to work all the time. on the fourth trip to the dealer it was found to be related to position of steering wheel. the dealer replaced the ribbon cable associated with the horn (broken/ intermittent wiring). now car out of warranty problem came back. is this poor workmanship? bad design? lemon??? not a happy camper!
The vehicle had a dragging noise coming from under the car and then a whole chunk of metal fell off from under the car
A/c condenser damaged by a rock, according to honda dealer, on my 2012 civic.my a/c blows warm heat, and the summer has just started! i've only had the car about 7 months. (bout used at 30k miles). not covered under extended warranty. insurance charges deductible, so no luck going that route for me. honda quoted me a repair at $630 + tax. will find it cheaper and just deal with, while still complaining for reimbursement or acknowledgement from honda that they got this wrong on several cars.
The tpms alert is always on even though the tires are inflated at the appropriate psi. i have taken my car to honda numerous times to get the tpms reset so that it would turn on only when necessary. because the tpms alert is always on, i never know when the tire is low on air pressure. i took it to honda multiple times to correct this issue, but i was told that this has been a known issue with honda civics and that to get it fixed, it would cost $200-300 with the possibility that the tpms can act up like this again. this is a big safety concern because i once drove for miles and miles without knowing that one of my tires was at 14 psi. i had no idea that my tires were so flat because as mentioned previously, the tpms alert is always on. honda needs to issue a safety recall on this if this is a known issue amongst honda civics and get this issue fixed.
I was traveling on i-65 north at approx. 5:00 pm, there was no traffic around me at the time of the incident. suddenly the driver-side glass exploded. to my knowledge nothing hit it, the glass just suddenly and literally exploded. glass filled the car as well as hitting me. there are no other marks on the outside of the car that would explain something hitting the glass. *tr
When turning the steering wheel right and left, there is a loud clanking noise. it happens 95% of the time. the dealer told me it was the power steering fluid (even though there is no power steering fluid as the 2012 model has an electronic system). the noise has continued and gets worse. they told me other models had a recall on the driveshaft which may be the issue but they cant do anything unless i pay out of pocket because my car was not under the recall.
Front seat ergonomics are bad! curves your back forward and head down. the headrest is tilted too far forward and down. it has ruined my back. visibility front and back is minimal. can't see hood or car corners. distance to objects, other cars etc. is a guessing game. when foot is resting on brake and you step on gas, engine drops to idle. dealer says this is a safety feature. it's dangerous!!!!!
Gas inside gas tank not stable every time hit a brake gas will slam into inside wall of gas tank and can hear noise that like some thing felt inside gas tank and floating in there, and keep hit to wall of gas tank every time stop at speed from 1 to 10 mph. *tr
The sunlight reflection from the dashboard to the windshield makes some daylight driving difficult to see and reduce visibility.
