Recently reported POWER TRAIN problems on 1995 Honda Civic

My car was parked on the right had side of the road, front wheels turned towards the curb. i turned on the ignition, put the car into drive and it accelerated out of control over the sidewalk and up into a front yard, slowing down over a bonsai tree. i shifted the gears into reverse and the car accelerated backwards, still out of control (brakes didn't work) until it crashed into a tree on the sidewalk and came to a halt. i had a passenger and 2 other witnesses but honda say they can not "duplicate" the acceleration problem. dt

While driving consumer heard a sound coming from front right wheel. consumer contacted dealer. dealer noted that transmission needed to be replaced. *ak

While driving at 30 mph without prior warning lower ball control arm became loose, and the front wheel fell sideways. also, rear axle snapped, and the right front tire blew out. *ak

When making a left or right turn there is a clunking sound coming from the front of the vehicle. it sounds like something is going to break. the vehicle was taken to a dealership where consumer was informed that the axle andcv boot need to be replaced. please provide any further details. *ak

Cv joint boot tears and breaks down, causing a clunking noise.

When vehicle is slowing down it makes a loud sirene like sound.

Vehicle will not move due to faulty clutch. *slc

Both front brake rotors warped at approximately 22,000 miles.

Upper panel of dash squeaks around cluster.

Gear oil was discovered in the tranmission case at 28,000 miles. vehicle had been hard to shift for months and problem continues.

Gas tank flap won't stay closed. (first vehicle on 487188) *dsh
