The car was parked, all of a sudden we heard a boom and the rear window had exploded outward and shattered, with the latch still attached to the rear tailgate. the hydraulic arms were up and extended, indicating the window had possibly tried to open, but didn't unlatch, and then shattered. nobody was inside the vehicle or had the keys on them, so the rear tailgate was not activated in either way.
