Tl* the contact owns a 2007 gmc yukon. while driving approximately 45 mph the contact noticed the drivers side tire had blown out. the contact replaced the tire with the spare and drove the vehicle to a tire shop. the mechanic stated the electrolysis inside of the wheel caused damage to the tire. the front passenger side tire also blew out and was replaced. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated this was known problem but did not offer assistance. the contact had the driver and passenger side front wheel reconditioned. the mechanic advised the failure would occur again because the wheel was defective. the drivers side tire was not repaired. the approximate failure mileage was 50,000.
