The top of the fuel pump assembly rusted through allowing gas fumes to enter the vehicle and the garage in which the vehicle was parked. it also caused hard starting. the replacement fuel pump was of a different design with the top being constructed of aluminum and brass and not steel to prevent rusting. *tr
