Recently reported ELECTRICAL SYSTEM problems on 2006 GMC Yukon XL 1500

Tl* the contact owns a 2006 gmc yukon xl 1500. the contact stated that the ventilation system malfunctioned preventing the contact from turning the a/c and or heater on. the contact indicated that the rear ventilation was working properly but when the vehicle was turn off the exhaust fan was still blowing. also, the contact mentioned that burning fumes were emitted into the vehicle. as a result, the contact had to disconnect the power to the blower. the vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer who diagnosed that the resistor module connector and blower needed to be replaced. the vehicle was to be repaired by an authorized dealer. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 130,000.

1.unknown events lead to component failure 2. the engine hours meter resets itself down to zero...unsure of what other electronic failures could occur as a results or what is triggering the engine hour reset in the instrument panel cluster (ipc) 3. the ipc has been replaced 4 times by the dealership and they put in a new battery to remedy the issue. the unit failed again on 12/30/07. the last fix was implemented on 11/12/07. the is a gm tac case number assigned #9978027 *tr
