My 2010 gmc terrain 4 cylinder awd has made pinging noise and rattling with acceleration since new. the best gas milage it has ever gotten was 20.9 mpg. the window sticker on the dealer lot stated gas milage range city/20 highway/29.. the expected range for most drivers was 24-34 mpg. i believe this range to be fraudulent, and should be investigated. i will be having the engine scanned on the dealer computer. a second failure of my vehicle is the power rear liftgate. it fully opens initially then starts to close on it's own, it cannot be stopped by force, until it closes completely. there is no safety feature that prevents closure while someone or thing is in it's path. this could critically injure or kill someone. the dealer states the hydraulic arm leaked oil & failed. i am awaiting parts for dealer to fix it. *tt

Tl* the contact owns a 2010 gmc terrain. while driving various speeds, there was an abnormal noise coming from the steering wheel air bag, the front passenger side air bag, and the front passenger side curtain air bag. the failure was intermittent. the vehicle was taken to a dealer where the cause of the failure was undetermined; however, the technician advised that the radio needed to be repaired. the vehicle was repaired, but the failure persisted. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 8,000.
