The backup camera is entirely too bright at night. it is nearly impossible to see the mirrors due to the brightness
When at highway speeds of approximately 65+ mph the vehicle begins to vibrate or shake violently as if the rear end of the truck is about to fall out. it is bad enough to make you white knuckle the steering wheel cause you to swerve slightly
Here is what happened regarding the rear sliding-window shattering (and nearly a fire) in my 2016 sierra: on january 1st, 2020, i was driving straight at approximately 30 mph on a smooth, level city street (no potholes or road defects, etc.) in 25-degree weather with my rear-window defroster on when i smelled something burning and looked in mirror and saw smoke and a few seconds later the driver's side glass-panel of my sliding rear-window shattered. there was no ice on window at the time and i had been driving approximately 7 minutes. i know that gm has acknowledged this problem and issued a recall #n192220470 on canadian vehicles, and that there is a major fire hazard. i spoke with anderson chevrolet and grossinger gmc this morning (january 2nd) and was basically dismissed and told to call gm about it, they won't help me.
Rear window glass on driver side of sliding rear window exploded after using defrost in cold weather while driving on the interstate.
Ac problem - my ac just went out for the third time since i bought this truck new in 2013. i went to have it repaired and was quoted ~$1,000 for a new ac condenser. after researching online, it looks like this is a very common and expensive problem that gm hasn't resolved.
When you reverse at night time...the backup camera comes on at maximum brightness and cannot be dimmed...blinding the driver
I turned on the rear defroster, and my daughter said "mom, it's sizzling." i looked back and there was smoke on the rear window. then there was a loud bang, and it shattered. the vehicle was not in motion at the time. i was just getting ready to back out of the parking area in my driveway.
The backup camera is not visible at night. it's grainy and blurry
