Dt: the consumer stated the 2001 gmc jimmy was losing power while driving. the vehicle speed varied. the vehicle will not accelerate. this has been a problem since 2003. the vehicle has been in the shop eight times for repairs. the dealership could not find what the problem was. the dealer test drove, scanned and looked through manuals trying to find the cause of the problem. the consumer called the manufacturer, who gave her a card so that she would not have to pay for the expenses. *ak

When put in drive and gently giving acceleration with no warning, gas pedal will get stuck, causing vehicle to surge forward. dealer notified.*ak *slc

Cable failure from dead start. accelerator went to the floor: runaway truck, halted.*ak

Vehicle has a loss of power when accelerating. vehicle doesn't respond immediately when throttle is applied. dealer determined that problem was due to clutch fan. dealer was aware of problem, but couldn't duplicate to find a solution. existing problem has progressed since a year. please provide more information.*ak
