Problems with 2006 GMC Envoy STRUCTURE

Tl* the contact owns a 2006 gmc envoy. the contact stated that the motor in the driver's door shorted out and the window regulator and motor were burnt. as a result, the vehicle almost caught fire. smoke appeared from the door panel, which the contact managed to put out. coyle chevrolet buick gmc (1801 broadway st, clarksville, in 47129, (812) 218-1100) diagnosed that the vehicle needed a new power window switch, fuse, and harness. the repairs were completed by an independent mechanic. when the contact discovered that the vehicle was included in nhtsa campaign number: 13v248000 (electrical system, visibility), the manufacturer was called and advised that the vehicle be taken to the dealer for reimbursement. the dealer did not reimburse the contact and presented the repair paperwork to the manufacturer. the contact was informed that reimbursement was not an option since the vehicle was repaired outside of the dealer and manufacturer. the contact stated that he did not know of the recall because he was not sent a letter. the failure mileage was 148,000.

Tl* the contact owns a 2006 gmc envoy. the contact stated that while driving at 55 mph, the contact heard an abnormal noise coming from the engine compartment of the vehicle. in addition, the contact noticed corrosion on the front passenger's side of the vehicle. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the engine needed to be replaced and that the sub frame needed to be welded. the engine was replaced. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the failure mileage was 72,000.

My 2006 envoy back hatch keeps clicking when raised also have to open passenger back door before hatch opens. *tr

As i was opening the rear door the rear window completely exploded all over. *tr

The tailgate will occasionally not open. the actuator has already been replaced. the electrical system seems to also "act"up when this happens. the remote takes several times to open the doors. we have replaced the battery several times, the dome light does not come on anymore, the stereo turns off immediately when you turn the engine off, instead of staying on until you open one of the doors. *tr
