When vehicle is stationary, or in motion, the fuel gauge gives inaccurate gas reading. fuel gauge modulates from empty to full continuously. empty light comes on when gas is in car when driving. check engine light comes on when empty light comes on. it is impossible to drive this car with a peace of mind given this problem. please note that this exact problem with 2007 envoy is all over the internet. *tr
Hi, i have a problem with the gas meter on my gmc envoy 2006. it has 38,000 miles. the gas gauge shows that the gas tank is empty even though i fill it up. when i start the engine the gauge goes shows that the tank is full, after a few minutes of driving it goes all the way down to empty and i get the signal that the tank is empty. my concern is about if there is any recall on that because it only has 38,000 miles. i was also checking online and found a lot of complaints for the same problem. i believe gm should be responsible for this matter because it is a sign of a defected part. this problem started happening on january 30, 2016; my main concern is getting stuck in traffic and possibly get in an accident due to the gas gauge is misreading. thank you for taking the time to read my complaint. *tr
Tl* the contact owns a 2003 gmc envoy. the contact stated that a strong fuel odor emitted inside and outside of the vehicle continuously. additionally, the engine warning indicator illuminated whenever the vehicle was in operation. the contact received notification of the manufacturer customer satisfaction program related to the fuel tank inlet valve replacement. the remedy part needed to perform the repair was unavailable. the contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the repair. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. on november 23, 2015. the failure mileage was 119,292. updated 07/05/16 *bf
I smelled a strong odor of gasoline while the vehicle was parked outside my residence. performed a walk around inspection and found no visible signs of fuel leakage. opened the hood and had no visible signs of leakage. envoy is hard to start but once started continues to run with no issues. gasoline fumes are evident in the cab while parked but disperse when moving down the road. upon stopping in traffic, fumes immediately become very strong in the cab. researching on line similar situations, it appears that there is a problem on top of the gas tank. checked under the envoy and noticed some minor streaking on the tank. i have stopped driving the vehicle until i can get the vehicle repaired. assuming it is the same fuel pump erosion issue, the estimated cost to repair is between $650 and $900. ma 10/6 the consumer stated after removing the gas tank, he attempted to remove the fuel lines from the fuel pump. the metal lines broke off at the top of the fuel pump as he attempted to remove the clips holding the lines on to the ...
