Tl* the contact owns a 2017 genesis g80. while driving various speeds and making left turns, the steering wheel would not return to its normal position. the contact indicated that the failure only occurred while making left turns and would return to the straight position after making right turns. the vehicle was taken to twin city hyundai (3121 3024 alcoa hwy, alcoa, tn, but the cause of the failure could not be determined. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the failure mileage was 42,000.
12/31/2017 1000 am nebraska temperature around -1, windchill -25-30, left heated garage drove 40 miles parked the car, front of the car into the wind at a parking lot, return about 1.5 hours later and the steering assist would not work. appears the cold temps effected the steering somehow also received an immediate warning at start up to take car to dealer for diagnostic and possible repair. dealer is not open until tuesday. managed to get home put back in garage, checked steering assist about 3 hours later and the steering assist was working.
