Recently reported SEATS problems on 2013 Ford Taurus

I was driving the car in december 2017 on the highway. i turned on the heated seat for the driver's side of the car. the heater heated up until it was burning my buttocks (it felt like a bee-sting). i turned the seat off and it stopped burning. this has happened every time i have attempted to turn the heated seat on since that time regardless of the car being in motion or in park. occasionally, i smell an odor that smells like wires burning. i took the car to the dealership and was told that the heater in the bottom and back of the driver's seat needs to be replaced; however, it is not covered as a safety concern (because a recall has not been issued for the seat heaters) nor is it covered under the extended warranty that was purchased with the automobile.
