I was driving my car in a parking lot & hit a barrier.the drivers steering wheel airbag deployed. when i took my car to ford mechanic they stated the sensor recorded my speed @6.2.
Air bad light come on in the dasher all the time
The steering wheel started getting loose starting about 3 months ago. then the air bag light started coming on and not going off. i saw the recall on other ford models for the steering wheel and thought this might be the same scenario. i tried to contact ford twice and both times was interrupted by the automated request to take a survey. i don't know if the steering wheel has ever been removed, but i do know that the drivers airbag was replaced at some time.
There was an accident our ford taurus hit a tree causing tree to come out if the ground and around $13,000 worth of damages and no airbag went off hit at 12 fro t impact. fighting ford motor to have them test the black box for information and possible defect before i drive it after its fixed.
