Takata recall - the only thing that has happened yet is that i received a recall (#16s26) in mid july, 2016. i've spoken to ford customer service, my local dealer and even wrote a letter to the nhtsa but all i'm told is that i will be notified when repair parts are available. it's been well over a year now and i want this fixed! i was told that if the manufacturer has failed or is unable to remedy this safety recall for my vehicle in a timely manner that i should file an online complaint with nhtsa so that is what i'm doing.

My vehicle is part of the air bag recall re: takata manufactured air bags. i have not received notification from ford that a replacement part is available. it has been nearly 18 months since this recall. where is my replacement passenger side air bag?!

Takata recall i own a 2009 ford ranger. around june 2016 i was notified that the takata airbag has been recalled and ford will replace it. i checked their website continually to get the latest update and nothing had changed. in december 2017, i received a letter stating that the airbag may rupture during deployment so it is advised that no one be allowed to sit in the passenger seat until the airbag has been replaced. it also stated that remedy parts have been delayed and will be available for certain vehicles in spring 2018. i contacted ford for further information. i asked if my vehicle airbag will be replaced in spring and if not, then when. they stated that they did not have any further details than what was stated in the letter. i then informed them that i need my passenger seat to be available for business purposes and that either they should remove the airbag, provide me with a loaner vehicle, or pay for any out of pocket expenses that i may incur for having to rent another vehicle for business purposes or for having to hire uber for passengers. they stated that they would not offer me any assistance other than replacing the airbag, which they will not even provide me with a date or time frame of when that will occur. when i originally purchased my vehicle, i purchased a 2 seat vehicle. it has now become a 1 seat vehicle according to ford's letter, which is not what i purchased. i have been driving around with passengers during the period june 2016 to dec 2017 unaware of the risk because ford failed to notify me of the danger until dec 2017. thankfully, there has been no situation that would have caused deployment of the airbag. it has been 1 1/2 years and ford has done absolutely nothing to remedy this situation. they placed a faulty airbag in my vehicle and they have made it my problem. ford is unwilling to correct their problem.

Takata this has been on recall for almost 2 years without a fix and i was told takata filed chapter 11 and because i live in a low humid location (s.west) i will be one of the last to be repaired and it does not matter that i drive to high humidity location! i have to fear that i may die as a result of using my only vehicle to go to and from work etc. totally unacceptable that there is not a fix and so many people have died. i do not want to be the next death!

Takata recall nobody will fix and replace the airbags for the recall. we have been trying since 2016 when we received our notice. nobody has parts and we are told there is nothing they can do. parts are on order. same thing as of today we contacted lake elsinore ford 951-471-4100 and gosch ford temecula 951-699-1302. this is unacceptable what if my son is injured or killed from the airbag....all we get told is sorry! not acceptable!!! need help asap!!!!!!

My brother brought this vehicle new and left it to me when he pass away a few years ago. right after that he got a notice in the mail that the passenger airbag was faulty and is being recalled to fix this problem. i have tried to get it replaced but ford motor co. just keeps giving me the run around by saying the part has not come in yet. its been three years since my brother got this notice. i have called them several times. same response each time. don,t have the part in. this vehicle has not been in an accident, but i have a son who does ride with me from time to time. what can i do to have this taken care of by the ford motor co.? the month date and year i will fill that in when he first got the recall notice for if i don,t put a date in the space provided below it won,t allow me to go to next step.

Takata recall my passenger air bag notification warning letter is attached to my passenger sun visor. when seen by most potential passengers they refuse to ride in this vehicle. i have suffered a loss of passenger space because of this hazardous defect. along with repair needed asap, i feel compensation for this delay is due.
