Problems with 2004 Ford Ranger VISIBILITY

Tl*the contact owns a 2004 ford ranger. when the contact reduced the speed of the windshield wipers, the wipers continued to operate at a fast speed. the windshield wipers failed to stop, causing him to disconnect them from the engine compartment. he then had to reconnect the wipers when they were needed again. the repair shop stated that the motor needed to be replaced. the current mileage was 44,000 and failure mileage was 41,000.
