Problems with 2000 Ford Ranger AIR BAGS

Driving 60mph on interstate pheasant flew low in front of verhicle, as the pheasant disapeared in from my view the truck did an abrupt swirve to the left, i had no steering control, the truck went from the right lane accross passing lane and hit head on into flat concrete berrier, the air bags did not deploy, over $9,000 in damage including new frame. when the truck was being hoisted onto rollback i noticed that the tie rod was hanging. the yoke where the tie rod is bolted to (cast iron) was broken off and i noticed a lot of pheasant remains on the tierod and suspension. i am very concerned that a small bird as this would cause the cast iron yoke to break, also why my airbags did not deploy. the front tire and rim did not impact the concrete berrier. when i saw the pheasant i did not react to it, i did not turn the wheel or hit the brakes, this may sound funny but the truck swirved left dirrectly into the berrier. the seat belt saved me from serious injury. my main concern is the pc that the tie rod mounts to and no air bag deployment *ak

Rear ended another vehicle at 45 mph, and vehicle was totalled, $ 10000 damage. upon impact, neither airbag deployed. *ak

The firestone tire (wilderness at p 215/75r15) tire on the front failed causing loss of control and vehicle collision, the air bags experienced no deployment, two injuries to consumers due to failures. *mjs

While pulling out of a parking space both air bags deployed for unknown reason. dealer notified. *ak

Passenger's side airbag did not deploy fully, but the drivers side did.*ak

While driving at about 55 mph a deer came out on the highway, consumer hit brakes, slid down highway a little, but didn't hit the deer or anything else. however, both passenger's and driver's airbags deployed. consumer felt that airbags shouldn't have deployed. if in traffic, it would have caused a very bad chain reaction, resulting in injuries. *ak

Consumer was traveling about 30mph and rearended another vehicle, then was also rearended. upon impact, airbags didn't deploy. dealer was contacted & would notify others of the incident. *ak *ml

Consumer was traveling about 70mph on the highway and steering: spindle: knuckle came off, lost control of vehicle, and side swiped another vehicle. upon impact, dual airbags did deploy. one injury was sustained. *ak

Vehicle was involved in a frontal collision. upon impact, the airbags did not deploy, resulting in minor injuries. manufacturer will be notified. *ak *ml

Consumer was traveling about 40mph when another vehicle on a side street going straight across, cut the consumer off. consumer hit the other vehicle on driver's side. upon impact, the seat belts didn't lock & the airbags didn't deploy. consumer's jaw was banged up,and the passengers arm was broken in 4 different places. dealer is investigating. *ak
