This 2000 ranger is having transmission problems. this is a replacement vehical for a 1999 ranger i had which had the same exact problems. now my new truck is doing the following: transmission shutters between gears shaking vehical, clunks into gear, hesitates. truck has been in shop once now, dealer found no problem and said "i don't want to see this truck in our shop again". this was the same dealer which had my 1999 truck for 42 days before the buy back from ford. *ak
I bought my truck on dec.10,1999.on dec.21,while driving the speedometer dropped rapidly down to10(there is no zero on the speedometer).it did it agin a few minutes later. between that date and jan.3.it has hppened at least 10 more times. i brought it to the ford dealer. they could not fix it since it did not happen while the truck was in their possesion.on jan.3,2000,i was driing and agin it happened.but this time the needle did not go back up it stayed down. i lost power and cruised to a stop. i brought it back to ford on mondy and they still have not found the problem.i will not pick it up because i am too afraid to drive it. what if i should lose power and i get rear ended?/they promise to try and find it but i am not happy.this truck is brand new(not quite 4 weeks).i am paying big payments on something i won't drive. please help! *ak
