We have classified the 779 complaints from 2010 Ford Fusion about VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL into the following categories.

ACCELERATOR PEDAL 3

Recently reported VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL problems on 2010 Ford Fusion

I was slowing to exit the interstate when the yellow wrench light came on and the car lost power. i was able pull the car to the side of the road. the engine was running extremely roughly and i turned it off. after about 15 seconds, i was able to restart the car and it acted normally. i was able to continue on my way. i parked the car several times and had normal restarts. i headed home. i only got a few miles before the yellow wrench light came on and then the yellow engine light. i was not possible at this point to restart the car without the yellow wrench light coming on immediately. i had the car towed to a local dealership. they determined the car had an error code p2111. the dealer replaced the throttlebody. *tr

Driving down the interstate and the car jerks and then decelerates, cannot push the gas as it will do nothing, the transmission light comes on and you have to pull over shut the car off and let it sit for a minute and crank it back up. this happened only once at first, however, now occurs very frequently during interstate driving. so i called the ford dealership, to get a price check on the part as computer threw code p2111, who advised that this is a common issue with this car and cannot understand why ford has not done a re-call on the throttle body issue. i really think someone needs to do something about this before someone gets seriously hurt or killed from their vehicle just deciding it wants to decelerate while driving. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2010 ford fusion. the contact stated that while driving approximately 65 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. the vehicle was coasted to the side of the road where the engine was turned off. the engine was restarted after several attempts however, the vehicle stalled several times afterward. the vehicle was taken to a private mechanic where it was diagnosed that the electronic throttle body motor assembly and the throttle switch needed to be replaced. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the vehicle was repaired. the approximate failure mileage was 43,485 and the current mileage was 44,000. updated 11/14/13*cn

This is the third incident (different days) where i've been driving and the car starts to lose power. the wrench light came on and the car stutters and loses power. the past two times (different days), it happened once and i shut the car off and restarted and it was fine. today i went 3-4 miles in the city and it happened 5-6 times in a short period. i have a scheduled appointment with the ford dealership in our area. they said they do this same repair (throttle) 2-3 times a week. i am very frustrated and disgusted with ford. there have been numerous reports and still no recall. are they waiting until someone gets killed before they will do something? the dealership said it would cost about $500 and luckily they have the part in stock. *tr

Drove off from work and shortly after i noticed the car slowed down and started to vibrate and finally lost power. i was able to pull over, i turned off car then tried to restart but it did the same thing. i then decided to shut it off again and give it more time surely after a few minutes it seemed to be fine but right before getting home it happened again. husband drove to autozone and had a diagnostic check and results were..."trouble shooting problem from auto zone code p2111 the throttle actuator control system". *tr

Ongoing issue with acceleration developed into a malfunction in the throttle body. i had noticed intermittent stutters during acceleration and deceleration. this time, the car lost power to accelerate, vibrated violently, and forced me to pull over for fear of causing an accident. now it is recurring and although the code erases and it seems to be fine, it will suddenly fail to operate properly and cause me to cut out of traffic as quickly as possible. *tr

When i drive on i26 in nc going up hill. gas peddler just quit working and slow speed down fast. i was hurry pull over. dang 18 wheeler is piss off me for front of truck. they blow horn loud which i know they mad me. i have no choice to pull front truck because they can slow down. i not want car in middle of hwy. that scare me. i turn off for min to calm down my self. then i try start again and gas peddler back working. but next day i was in local store it did again so i pull over side rd i did hit mailbox because i can not speed up. ford dealer act like they not know why. after i read website learn that many of 2010 fusion have same problem. i went back show the print. he say ohoh yeah i know this then say 400 dollar change part in just 30 min. i refuse buy because he lie to me. what can i do? what is correct price? *tr

I was traveling on i-65 at approximately 65 mph in the far left lane when i lost acceleration. the throttle control/drivetrain malfunction light came on and i was rapidly slowing in dense traffic with nowhere to lull off on the left side. i was able to pull off to the right through 3 lanes of traffic as the car shut off. i called my mechanic who advised me to restart it and drive to safety if possible. i done so and the warning light was gone and the car ran normally. i took it to my father's who used a code scanner and found a saved code of p2111. this is the code for tac stuck open. after investigation i found that ford has numerous faulty throttle body units which require replacement. i believe the sheer volume of these issues are indicative of a bad product which produces a significant safety hazard. i could have stalled and caused a serious accident if i wasn't able to get to the right in time. this also could pose a risk if someone was turning left through traffic. *tr

Driving to work on a busy highway, going approximately 62 miles per hour, when my car just started to die. i went from 62 miles per hour, down to about 5 miles per hour in a few seconds, my wrench warning light and check engine light were on, i cannot believe that i was not rear ended or that i was not the cause of an accident. i pulled over to the side of the road as best i could, turned the car off. when i restarted it and tried to move, it chugged and there was not any power. i sat for about 15 minutes, and tried again, i was able to get another couple of miles to work. i took my car to the dealership and they stated that it was the throttle body, the cost is $425.00 plus tax to fix, made me sick. after seeing all of the complaints about this, i cannot believe that the throttle body is not a recall item, it is truly a safety concern. my car is a 2010 fusion, i had to spend $325.00 at 30,000 miles for new rotors, so this really is upsetting. *tr

This is the second incident where i've been driving and the car started to lose power. the wrench light came on and the car started stuttering. i was able to pull over to the side of the road and shut the car off and restart. it started a little rough so i turned off the air, and it drove fine. i'm seeing a lot of comments from others that they are having the same problem and it ends up being the throttle. i'm now deciding my next step. *tr

Wrench light came on the car slowed down shake bad and no throttle response at all, had it towed in for service and was told it was a throttle body assembly failure, not covered under power train warranty. *tr

While traveling on i64 sunday september 8th on the way home from williamsburg , my car , while in a lot of heavy traffic on the interstate , stalled and the " wrench " light came on . luckily i had good control of the car to pull off the interstate . the car lost all power and wouldn't response to throttle input. the car was shut off and after 10 minutes, attempt to restart car which was successful. car run normally for about 140 additional miles, then stalled to low power and lack of throttle response yet again. turning off and then turning back on was unsuccessful in getting the vehicle to run normal again. tow truck was called and vehicle towed to local ford dealership. was informed that the throttle body was the culprit and was on backorder. if this is a known problem, why are people being put at risk for serious injury or death, without being informed of the potential of probable stalling. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2010 ford fusion. the contact stated that while driving approximately 65 mph, the engine stalled with the illumination of the wrench warning indicator. the vehicle was restarted and began to accelerate at a low speed. the contact performed the repair himself which included the replacement of the throttle body. the manufacturer was not notified of the defect. the approximate failure mileage was 90,000. the vin was unavailable.

The first time the incident occurred i was riding down the interstate and just out of no where the car cuts off without warning....in the middle of traffic!!! the orange wrench light came on and then the engine light. i was able to get to the side of the road and restart the car. i was able to get a diagnostic test done at oreilys and the code p1121 (or something like that) indicated that the throttle control was stuck open. i was able to drive the car on without incident. it has cut off several times since then without warning, but i continue to drive because this is my only form of transportation. it is totally unpredictable and dangerous!!! after talking to other ford owners and doing my research online i see this is not an isolated problem. this is unsafe and the part should be recalled!!!! i have continued to drive and make sure that i am very cautious and i try not to go over 60mph, but after it happened again yesterday in a very compromising scenario... i'm going to have to buckle down and get it fixed.$$$$$$$$$$ i will never buy a ford again! *ln

Wednesday, two days before the incident i had taken my vehicle to ford for the $423.74 recommended 60,000 miles service. the car had never stalled before this scheduled service. friday i was traveling on a three lane interstate in traffic and passing a vehicle in the left hand lane when i realized that i had completely lost power. everything was working, steering, air, radio, etc. but there was no power when pressing the gas pedal. i was placed in a dangerous situation as i made my way without power to the right hand lane and the side of the road coasting slowly. as i slowed i once tried moving the car from drive to low but still no power. when my car had almost stopped i could feel a bumpy low power as i pressed the gas. the car stopped and i turned off the engine. i immediately tried to start the car again but nothing happened. it was like the starter was bad, but after 5 minutes the car started and behaved normally. i immediately took the car back to the ford dealer and was told it was the throttle body and that there is a problem with it but not a recall. it costs over $500 to fix. i was lucky not to have been involved in an accident because of this problem. there needs to be a recall. this is unacceptable. *tr

While driving upon four occasions, the engine stopped, resulting in a loss of speed and pulling over to the side of the road amid traffic or a driving lane closest to the curb. i was unable to accelerate, turned on my hazards and slowly maneuvered to a stop. the "wrench" light immediately illuminated, which normally indicates a powertrain issue; however, during the 4th occasion, the wrench light went off and then the "check engine" light illuminated. after speaking with several service personnel members and receiving guidance, it has been determined to be the electronic throttle body. while questioning my vehicle's service concerns, i encountered another individual at my dealership with the same car and issue, which was solved by replacing the electronic throttle body. after the first incident, i let the car rest for 5 minutes, started the car back up with ease and without the same issue for 7 days. the subsequent incidences occurred within a 3 hour period. although not on the highway each time, i feared a severe accident and stuck to city streets. *tr

My car's throttle has failed about 20 times over the last few days. about 10 of those failures occurred on a dangerous interstate highway in heavy traffic. the car loses throttle and must be pulled to the side of the road, turned off, and restarted each time. the potential for an accident was high and i consider myself lucky. *tr

*tr

The first time, while driving down the interstate, in heavy rush hour traffic, the vehicle lost power and i had to make it across 2 lanes of bumper-to-bumper traffic to get to the side of the road. the "wrench" light went on and i could no longer accelerate. the vehicle stayed running, but had a very rough idle. i turned the vehicle off and it started right up and i was able to continue my trip. the next day it did it again, twice within 2 miles of each occurrence, also while driving on the highway. the second time the check engine light came on and i had it towed to the dealership. the dealership told me it was the throttle control and it was roughly $350 to have it fixed, because it was just out of warranty and it isn't covered under the 5yr 60,000 mile powertrain warranty. it only happened to me while highway driving with speeds 70 and above. not a fun feeling having your car quit unexpectedly during highway driving. it's obvious ford is having multiple issues with the same component, based all the complaints i have seen on the internet. by the way, the dealership told me i was lucky because ford just reduced the price on the part as of 9/1/13. boy, do i feel lucky! *tr

While driving on the freeway, i experienced a complete loss of engine power. the ignition and electrical power remained on, but the throttle became completely unresponsive. i pulled over to the shoulder, the check engine light came on, and i turned the ignition completely off. i turned it on a minute later, the car started up, no check engine light. throttle response was back to normal. i drove to my nearest ford dealer where i was told it's a common problem with a failed throttle body. this could have caused a huge accident, but there was no traffic on the freeway at the time.

As i was exiting rt. 35 to interstate 75, a major traffic interchange, my 2010 ford fusion died and i was forced to pull over to a very slim berm area to shut it off and start it back up again. it seems the throttle body was "stuck" and it had to be replaced. this was a very dangerous situation that i should not have been involved in due to something ford knows is an issue with fusions. please encourage a mandatory recall so that lives are not lost! i was fortunate to not have caused an accident but someone else may not be so lucky. i would hope that ford would not want any casualties on their conscious and would fix this known problem. *tr

While driving this morning my car seemed to "surge". almost felt like it was going to stall a few times at stop lights and such. then while going 45-50 mph my car wouldn't respond when i pushed the accelerator. when i pulled to the side of the road, the car started shaking. there was a wrench light in my dash that came on. when i turned off the car i restarted it and it ran with the surging problem until i reached my destination. no wrench light when i restarted the car. *jb

While traveling on ohio route 306, the car lost all throttle power abruptly, in heavy traffic. due to the failure of the throttle body, i went from 45 to zero on an incline with many cars behind me honking. i restarted the car but while the engine was running i had no throttle power at all. ford does not see a problem here and said it is not a major issue. had my daughter been driving and this happened to her, i would have been concerned for her safety with the heavy traffic and dangerous conditions getting out of the vehicle. though i was not as concerned for myself, the failure put me in an extremely vulnerable and dangerous state. *tr

Electronic throttle body malfunctioned on our 2010 ford fusion while on the freeway at about 70 mph. without warning, there was no response from the accelerator and i was forced to coast over to the shoulder without the ability to control acceleration. thankfully the freeway was not too busy and getting to the shoulder without power was possible. i am paying for the cost of repair. after reading several articles about the nhtsa looking into the situation, i believe this malfunction (which is common) poses a major safety issue and warrants a recall. losing acceleration ability without warning at the wrong time could prove fatal for the driver and other drivers nearby. *jb

Car stopped just as i was making a left hand turn in a busy intersection. put flashers on, re-started the car and limped through the intersection on a yellow light, and pulled over. limped to a ford dealership 7 miles away and had the throttle body replaced for $444. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2010 ford fusion. the contact stated that while driving 20 mph, the check engine warning light illuminated as the vehicle stalled. the vehicle was towed to a dealer for diagnosis and the contact was informed that the electronic throttle body would need to be replaced. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the vehicle had not been repaired. the failure and current mileage was 81,000. the consumer stated the vehicle stalled multiple times, before it stopped completely. updated 10/22/13

Pe13-003 my 2009-2011 ford escape, fusion, mariner and milan electronic throttle body malfunction 21-feb-2013 my 2010 ford fusion 4 cylinder has malfunctioned twice in two days with sudden power loss and the wrench icon of the gauge cluster. each time, the engine would drop to 800 rpm and crawl at less then 20 mph. the first incident was near hunt auto as leaving a 4-way stop on sunday with near 90 degree heat. the second was monday while on i-65 n near millersville at 68 mph. scary. both times i had to pull over, inspect the idle behavior, turn the car off, wait 30 seconds then turn-on again fine with normal behavior. after research, this appears to be under investigation by the nhtsa since feb 2013 as likely throttle body issues of this engine type. i have sent this info to my local ford dealer www.huntauto.com. please advise and assist as possible. *jb

Engine dropped to 900 rpm. coasted to stop. vehicle would not respond to acceleration. turned engine off and restarted made it to town. diagnosed by dealership as throttle body. parts not available till october. they have car we have rental because we had extended warranty. if we didn't have that we would be in trouble. *jb

I was traveling down a 2 lane highway (state road, pa) when the car began to rapidly lose acceleration and seemed to stall. the engine jerked excessively, but never turned off. no amount of pressing the accelerator made any difference. i coasted to the side of the road safely. luckily, no one hit me. turned engine off and called for roadside assistance. turned the vehicle on a few minutes later and everything was fine. the yellow wrench light came on when accelerator lost control. next day, while driving to work , it happened on rt13n de and again i was lucky to be able to quickly get to the emergency lane. yellow wrench light and no control on accelerator with engine vibrating heavily but does not turn off. switched off and turned on - everything is fine. same day evening - returning from work - it happens as i get on the entry ramp to i95 n de. narrowly missed someone rear ending me. yellow light, heavy vibration and no acceleration. turn off and turn on, everything is fine. being in downtown wilmington - no emergency lane and had to do this right in the middle of the road during rush hour. this sudden loss of power is extremely scary and with 2 children in the back seat - i fear for their safety. imagine if this is happens on the interstate with a 18 wheeler behind you. will be taking to dealer first thing in the morning. vehicle is serviced and maintained only by ford. no one has touched my vehicle other than ford authorized dealer and have not missed a single ford recommended maintenance service. *jb

Driving southbound on georgia 400 in center right and car engine stops. pushed gas pedal a few times, but car would not respond and slowed down quickly. was heading uphill just south of the chatahoochee river. electrical was working as radio remained on and i was able to apply hazard lights and coast to the shoulder. placed card in park and turned ignition off. immediately turned ignition on and car started. was able to drive car to destination with no issue. i paid ford dealership to replace throttle body and motor assembly. *tr

Just four months after purchasing my so called "certified pre-owned 172 point pass inspected 2010 ford fusion" the car starts acting up while driving down a main street in the middle of town, the car lost all acceleration right after i started taking off from a stop light. the wrench light then came on and the car started to stall out as this was going on i'm also trying to turn left, which was a little scary because i basically cut someone off while turning because, i had no acceleration whatsoever to avoid them. this is a serious problem and i'm not the only one whose had to go through it from all the same complaints i see on the internet. this malfunctioning throttle body needs to be recalled before someone gets seriously hurt! *jb

I was traveling on a two-lane paved road in a 50 mile an hour zone when i felt the car start to decelerate. i pushed on the gas pedal but nothing happened and the car continued to slow down. i was able to pull over at the intersection of a side road where i shut the car off. i started the car back up and proceeded out into the main road. less than a mile down the road the car started to decelerate again and i turned onto my street and coasted to a stop. both times the check engine light and the wrench icon on the dash came on. when i had the cause of the check engine light diagnosed, i found out that the car's throttle body had failed. i could only order the part through a ford dealership and the closest one is 40 minutes away from me. *tr

Driving on a busy interstate highway when suddenly my car looses power and goes into limp mode. absolutely no throttle response. wrench light indicator came on. i pulled over to the side of the road and my car shuttered a bit as i slowed down. turned the car off and waited a minute before restarting. restarted sluggishly. began driving again and no more than 5 minutes later, the same thing happened. this time the check engine light came on. once again, turned car off, restarted and began driving again. made it into a local brake/muffler shop where they were kind enough to diagnose the problem for me. error code p2112 came over with a description about the throttle body actuator being stuck closed. they informed me they've seen this problem many times and it seems to be a common issue. it made sense to me because, leading up to this event, i had been experiencing a lagging throttle. it has happened to me twice more since this initial occurrence. *jb

Traveling about 50 miles per hour and suddenly no power when trying to accelerate. car starts shaking and slows to nothing. fortunately, no one was behind me at the time because the car continued to shake & then shut off right in the middle of the highway. very frightening and shocking. so thankful my grandson was not in the car with me at the time. the 2nd time it occurred, my husband was driving it and he turned out onto a main highway from our neighborhood & it turned off on him. another vehicle traveling at least 55 miles per hour came upon him before he got it restarted & nearly rear ended him. thankfully, they were able to stop in time, but were quite angry & blowing their horn because they assumed some fool had just stopped in the middle of a busy highway! this happens with not enough warning to get off the road & sometimes that is impossible anyway.the car did this three more times as my husband decided it was going straight for repair. fortunately he had called me & i was able to follow him in another vehicle him my hazard lights on for safety.i kept a safe distance and was alert for when it turned off. this made me truly realize, as it continued to turn off on him, how very dangerous this was for the person in the fusion & for the vehicle behind them or coming into an intersection. i knew to be aware, but others wouldn't be. this is very dangerous in intersections & when pulling out onto highways. we know we can't drive this and are trying to get it fixed, but apparently it is a major problem for ford fusions because we were just told there is a 3-6 month wait for the throttle body part which is the problem. very frustrated and frightened for those still driving these vehicles on the highway because who knows when it will happen to the car and what tragic accident may occur. ford needs to recall & get these vehicles fixed!!!!!! *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2010 ford fusion. the contact stated that while driving 50 mph, the accelerator pedal traveled to the floorboard. the vehicle did not acetate however. the vehicle was stopped and restarted some time later and operated as designed. the dealer was notified of the failure, who suggested that the throttle body could have been defective. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the vehicle had not been repaired. the failure and current mileage was 63,000.

Motor power surge a few times then died with 4 lanes of traffic all traveling about 65mlh. was able to turn key off and restart motor and ran fine the rest of the way home. today surge a few times but not as often as yesterday. *tt

Tl* the contact owns a 2010 ford fusion. the contact stated that while driving approximately 45 mph, the vehicle failed to accelerate without warning. the contact mentioned that the failure recurred intermittently while driving at different speeds. the vehicle was towed to a private mechanic where a diagnostic was scheduled. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the vehicle was not repaired. the approximate failure and current mileage was 54,000.

I was driving on interstate 71 and the car felt as if it was loosing power. the wrench light came on and the engine light came on. i pulled over to the side of the interstate and turned the vehicle off. i waited a minute and started the vehicle. it started and i accelerated and i pulled onto the interstate. about a mile down the road the same thing happened and the vehicle lost power. i pulled over, waited and restarted the vehicle. i again pulled onto the interstate and the vehicle seemed to be okay to drive although the engine light was still on. i drove it directly to john nolan auto service. they checked the vehicle and stated that the eec. diag. p02111 stored in the computer for throttle body stuck open. they removed and replaced the throttle body assy and re-programmed the pcm.

I was travelling on an interstate doing 70 miles an hour when my car made a bang and i lost all throttle response. the car was running, seemed to go into neutral but pressing the gas pedal did nothing. i was able to cost over 4 lanes dodging traffic to get to a spot where i could come to stop. after turning off the engine and restarting everything went back to normal. now just over a week later it happened 3 more times in 1 day. doing research it seems this is a common complaint from fusion and escape owners. it also seems there may be an investigation under way as to whether this should be a recall issue. now if ford was to fix this it would be 1 thing, but after almost killing me on the interstate i now have to fork over $400 to the dealership because even though my car is several thousand miles short of the 30k mile warranty, the 3 year stipulation on my warranty ended less than 3 months ago.

Going down road about 45 mph accelerate stop responding. couldn't give any gas. rpm drop to around idle [ idle was rough] all most got rear ended. got over to side of road. turn car off. then restarted drove it home [ about 3 mile] and parked this has happen twice in the last 4 days . both times driving about 45 mph. first time 8/23/2013 second time 8/26/2013 *tr

As i made a left hand turn into my neighborhood, i felt the car sort of slip out of gear. it began slowing down so i pressed on the gas pedal and nothing happened. then, the engine light went on and shortly after, the transmission light appeared. i coasted down the hill and pulled over. i shut off the car and turned it back on. it seemed to be fine for 5 seconds and then the two lights reappeared. the gas pedal stopped working and the car began shaking and lunging forward. i was close to home, luckily, so i coasted into the driveway and got it towed to the dealer the next day. the throttle body needed to be replaced, which after doing some research, is a major known problem with the fusion. i'm wondering why there is no recall. *tr

While on the freeway doing approximately 65-75 mph, my vehicle lost power, the wrench light came on the dash, and the vehicle began to stall. i pulled over to the side of the freeway, turned the car off, and restarted. it was fine after restarting. a couple days later the incident occurred again. within 4 days, my vehicle began to have 4 episodes on my 11 mile commute. these issues during rush hour traffic prompted me to bring it in to the dealership asap as i did not feel safe driving it any longer. my vehicle is currently at the dealership awaiting diagnosis and repair. after a google search, i am fairly certain that the diagnosis will involve the throttle body.*jb

As i was driving on the interstate, my car began to lose power and i could not accelerate. fortunately, i was in the far right lane and was able to pull off the highway safely. had i been in the center or far left lane, my safety and that of my passenger could have been seriously jeopardized. aaa towed me to a ford dealer and it was necessary to replace the throttle body. i have since learned that this is a common problem with this model and believe a recall should be in order. *jb

Turned onto side street traveling at about 30 mph. suddenly lost power and car began to buck and chug. car stalled twice and re-started but only could go between 5 and 10 mph, bucking all the way about a mile or so to a service station where i left it to be repaired. had to call friends for a ride home. it actually bucked more going downhill where i was able to get up to 10 mph. mechanic replaced throttle body housing at a cost of $543.56, parts, labor and tax. running the car like that also fouled spark plugs and it cost me another $285.00 for a tune up. *tr

My husband was driving on the interstate highway at about 75 mph and the wrench light came on and the car suddenly lost acceleration and would not accelerate with the gas pedal. it shuddered as he drove, and he was only able to drive at a very low speed. he was very worried that he would get hit by other faster cars. he got it towed to the closest ford dealership, and they replaced the throttle body. we are registering this complaint because we understand that this is a problem with ford cars generally. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2010 ford fusion. the contact stated that while driving 20 mph, the vehicle stalled as the service warning lamp illuminated. the vehicle was taken to the dealer for inspection and diagnosed as having a throttle body failure. the vehicle was repaired. the manufacturer was not notified of the incident. the approximate failure mileage was 31000.

10 months ago i purchased a so called certified pre owned car, on or about aug 24th i was driving to work on a busy street at n approx speed of 40 mph when my car suddenly shut off, i was unable to pull over and was towed to the nearest dealer. after being in the svc dept for 4 days i was told the issue was fixed and charged a $100 deductible for nothing, as i was leaving the dealer i noticed my rpms acting up and before i drove off the lot i made it aware to svc advisor his response was that it was normal after the svc performed on my car and to continue to drive it. 2 weeks later i was on a 8 lane hwy driving at a speed of 65-70 mph and the same thing happened. i was in the middle off all lanes and was unable to get to the shoulder in a secure area. it was rush hour traffic and i was in extreme danger expecting a disaster to happen behind me. i stayed in my car and my roadside assistance arrived and took me to my dealer, a day later i was told it was the throttle body and that my warrant did not cover it and i would have to pay $600+ to repair, i asked the advisor to not touch the car that i would consult an attorney as i find it unfair to pay such a significant amount of cash for a so called certified car i purchased not even a year ago. come to find out im not alone, there are many other issues with this car and something needs to be done by ford asap. *tr

The car would not accelerate after coming to a stop. i pushed on the accelerator and no power. it also goes from 60 and drops down instantly while driving almost as if it lost power. *tr
