I believe this car is also affected by the electronic throttle body issues plaguing fords. i was driving the vehicle when it suddenly loses power and the "wrench" light appears. the vehicle lost speed and did not respond to the gas pedal. i was able to pull over and restart the vehicle with temporary resolution of the problem. this has been a gradually worsening problem.

On 04/13/2015 i experienced rapid deceleration while driving home form work on the highway and the wrench light came on the dash. i called the dealership and made an appointment to have the problem looked at on 04/15/2015. while driving home from work on 04/16/2015 the problem happened again so i called the dealership and made another appointment on 04/17/2015. after about an hour they couldn't find any error codes and failed to replicate the issue. they told me to drive the car and hope it doesn't happen again. since then the problem has occurred on the following dates: 04/18,4/19,4/21. i ordered the part myself and will do the repairs myself since i can't wait until a complete failure happens. that would increase the chances of causing a serious accident. *tr

I was driving for about an hour down the freeway in cruise control. the car jerked slightly and went limp, decelerating while maintaining a rough idle around 1000 rpm's. the gas pedal was non-responsive while idling and i was able to coast off to the side of the road where there was no throttle response. the wrench light was on the dash. i turned the car off and tried to start it again, it started fine and i was able to drive it the rest of the way home without further incident. i have been afraid to drive anymore on the freeway since or any serious length knowing there is a serious issue with the vehicle. this is a terrible feeling knowing i have a fairly new car that i cannot trust to drive safely in. i have read others stories about this problem and seriously hope the vehicle's issues do not cause me to be involved in any accident on the freeway at high speeds. there is obviously an issue with a serious flaw and needs to be addressed.

Upon accelerating from a full stop at a red light the car entered "limp" mode (would not accelerate, but i could still steer and the engine was still on) and the wrench light appeared on the dash. i already had the dealership perform the throttle fix of the 2014 recall on various ford models of 2009-2012. *tr

Driving the car home from the dealership cruising down the highway and suddenly the car just would not accelerate any more. scary feeling when your cruising at 55 and suddenly the car would not stay at highway speed. it would still idle but it idled roughly. you could push down on the pedal but it would do nothing. it just lost all power so i had to quickly pull onto the shoulder of the road. good thing no one was following me to close. i called the dealer and they sent out a tow truck. i had to get a ride home and the car went back to the dealer for repairs. turns out that the throttle body sensor quit working. *tr

I have a 4-year new ford fusion 2010, manual shift transmission. on 12/17/14, while i was driving at approx. 40 mph on a busy road putting my car on gear 4, all of a sudden, the wrench light lit up, and the car jumped violently as if it was at gear 1 or something. startled, i gently pushed the gas pedal a bit more, that didn't help; tried again, still violently jump. i hit the clutch, pressed the break pedal just enough to steer my car off the road to a parking lot. after turned off the engine, checked the car, then started the engine again, the wrench wasn't lit, and i drove away. -- this was the first time the trouble occurred. before the problem re-occurred on 12/20/14, i noticed several sudden accelerations, and sudden stalls while i was driving. the 2nd time the wrench light lit up, same problem: car jump, felt like on gear 1 while actually on gear 3 for a while, have to stop in the middle of the road and re-ignite the engine to get the car moving again. local ford dealer did diagnosis and concluded the throttle control body was bad, to fix the problem they must replace the throttle control body and charge me $450. they said there is no warranty on the throttle control body, and parts do go bad sometimes. really, in 4 years? for a well maintained, garaged car at 34k mileage? the problem smells like a defect, not a standard wear and tear, why should i pay for replacing a defect part? how do i know whether the new part is not a defect again? i'm scared of driving on high way. *tr

I was driving home from work last night and my car shut off. it shook violently and decelerated to a stop. i read online about the 13n09 consumer satisfaction program and since my car is exhibiting the same symptoms i decided to limp into the dealer. it appears that ford has decided to extend the warranty on these defective throttle body parts but for some reason my 2010 ford fusion with a faulty throttle body position sensor is not covered? if it has been determined that the part is defective in the ford fusion then shouldn't all of them be covered? i don't feel that i should have to pay for a faulty part that just happens to also be a safety issue. ford needs to step up and own up to this issue not profit from it. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2010 ford fusion. the contact stated that when the vehicle was started, it accelerated without the accelerator pedal being depressed. the vehicle went down an embankment and across four lanes. as a result, the vehicle crashed into a brick wall. a police report was not filed and there were no injuries reported. the vehicle was towed to a dealer. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the vin was not available. the failure mileage was 14,000.

Car was at a complete stop. engine began to race (sudden unintended acceleration). car began to lurch forward. applying brake full pressure would not stop - had to place in park. incident continued for 30 seconds. had happened over 20 times since july of 2014. took car to local dealer and ran diagnostic on ecs. no codes reported. filed case with ford motor company. they will not address problem because no fault codes are being reported. have case number but did not include as could be security risk. incident has not occurred since. *tr

Tl*the contact owns a 2010 ford fusion. the contact stated that while attempting to accelerate from a stop, the vehicle accelerated excessively without warning. the vehicle was towed to the dealer, where the floor mat was replaced but the failure reoccurred twice. the vehicle was taken back to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the failure was related to the floor mat. the contact referenced a manufacturer's recall related to the failure. the vin was unavailable. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the failure mileage was unknown.

Tl* the contact owns a 2010 ford fusion. when the vehicle was parked and idling, it shook violently and the entire instrument panel illuminated. the contact shut off and restarted the vehicle. when the vehicle was started, it failed to accelerate over 10 mph. the contact shut off the vehicle and was able to restart the engine. the contact also mentioned that excessive force was required on the accelerator pedal in order to accelerate. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed that the throttle body failed. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 155,000.

Tl* the contact owns a 2010 ford fusion. the contact stated while driving approximately 70 mph using the cruise control, the vehicle stalled as the wrench warning light and the brake light illuminated. the vehicle was merged to the side of the road where it was restarted. the failure recurred multiple times. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic. the technician diagnosed that the electronic throttle body needed to be replaced. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 69,000.

There were two events with the electronic throttle cutting off while driving, though, engine did not stall, requiring reset by turning off the ignition then restarting the car. at the time the throttle cutting off there was a yellow wrench indicator light light on my dash. this mimics nhtsa action number: pe13003, however, this action number does not include my vin number.

Tl* the contact owns a 2010 ford fusion. while driving 55 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. afterwards, the throttle body and transmission warning lights illuminated. the contact was on the highway when the vehicle stalled. the contact was able to drive after restarting the vehicle. the dealer was notified, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the failure recurred multiple times since the first failure. the contact notified another dealer where it was diagnosed that the throttle body needed to be replaced. the failure mileage was 84,000.

Throttle body failed and required replacement. this is a known issue and there is an extended warranty on the part, but because the repair was done at a private service center and not a ford dealership, ford refuses to pay for the repair. guess i won't be buying a ford ever again! *tr

Sudden loss of throttle response at 30mph driving speed. vehicle soon stalled losing engine power. check engine light illuminated. ford obd code p2111, throttle actuator stuck open. replaced faulty throttle body with new to remedy situation. erased obd codes. no further problems. this complaint will also be forwarded to ford consumer relations. *tr

While driving on the interstate, the vehicle completely lost power under acceleration. i took it to a ford dealer and they fixed it free of charge. they said that they are aware of the issue, but have not had time to send out a recall yet. *tr

While driving on the highway at 65 mph, the engine suddenly went into idle and it was not possible to accelerate. i was fortunately able to make my way over to the shoulder without causing an accident before the car came to a shaking halt. this then happened 3 more times as i made my way on local roads to a ford dealer. also fortunately, the dealer repaired my car (replaced throttle body and reprogrammed), which was no longer under warranty, free of charge. i don't know why such a potentially life threatening defect has not been the subject of a recall. *tr

Been noticing the car would idle rough from time to time. was driving home on august 25, 2014 and the wrench light came on, had no acceleration, even put the pedal to the floor board. pulled off shut car down, and restarted and everything was good. did notice some more sputtering on the drive home. took it in august 27, 2014 and dealer stated it was the throttle body sensor. $485.00 to repair this. i have a 2005 ford f150 also and stuck $3,700 into it last year. thinking these will be the last ford products i will ever own. i have a 2002 toyota camry with 225,000, only thing i ever replaced, other than regular maintenance items, was the water pump. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2010 ford fusion. the contact stated that the vehicle was violently jerking and was extremely difficult to drive. the sensor illuminated for the throttle body on the instrument panel. the vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer who diagnosed and replaced the electronic throttle body. the vehicle was repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 66,212. updated 10/8/14*cn the consumer stated the vehicle model was not included in the recall. updated 3/26/2015 *js

On 8/15/14 car sputtered while driving at 30-35 mph and slowed to a stop. would not re-start immediately but eventually did after 10 minutes. it then sputtered and stopped a couple times within a mile or two. the auto mechanic did not find any bad computer codes. he did clean the throttle body and replaced the air filter. the car ran well without any problem for 3 weeks and 1,100 miles. on 9/11/14 the car again sputtered and slowed to a stop. my wife was able to re-start it. the auto mechanic again found no bad computer codes. he could not explain the cause. web search revealed many other drivers with similar issues with 2010 ford fusion fuel system. definitely a dangerous condition. *tr

I was driving on the interstate at approx. 55 mph, with cruise control activated. the vehicle suddenly deactivated t he cruise control and started slowing down. wrench light came on, and it stopped responding to pressing of the accelerator. i steered the vehicle off the interstate and on to an exit ramp, with brakes and steering unaffected. when i put it in park, the engine was sputtering and the car shaking. after shutting off the engine and restarting, the vehicle ran normally without warning lights. repair shop employees said it was probably the throttle body, but because the car computer had not recorded the codes, they weren't sure. *tr

2010 ford fusion. consumer writes in regards to vehicle throttle body malfunction. *smd the consumer stated if the throttle body malfunctioned, it could cause the vehicle to stall. *jb

Tl* the contact owns a 2010 ford fusion. while driving approximately 70 mph, the vehicle suddenly shut off. the contact was able to merge the vehicle to the side of the road and restarted the engine. the vehicle resumed normal operation. the contact indicated that during the incident the check engine and service sensor lights illuminated. the dealer replaced a computer, but the failure persisted. later, while driving approximately 60 mph, the speed suddenly decelerated. the vehicle would not accelerate. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was notified. the failure mileage was 150,000.

Power steering suddenly failed with no prior warning while in reverse. electronic power steering rack failed after only 80k miles on car. purchased new from ford dealer. 2nd major issue with this car. the first was the electronic throttle body. this year and model have so many issues. just a quick google search will tell you that. *tr

I was driving on an interstate going 70+ mph when my gas peddle stopped working, it would not make my car accelerate. the rpms dropped down to 1000-1500 and my car immediately started to slow down. i pulled to the side of the road and as i slowed down the car jumped and acted like it was stalling out. the wrench light on the dash also illuminated. i put the car in park and turned off the ignition, thinking that my car was broken down and i was going to have to get it towed. i thought to restart the car and when i did, it ran fine. until 3 days later when it repeated the same symptoms, 3 times in one day. it has now been a week and i have had countless times where this has happened, many times on the interstate, or busy roads. just today in a 2 mile stretch this happened 4 times! *tr

As i pulled out onto a busy street going to work my car would not respond to gas, i had the pedal to the floor with no response other than a weak attempt at a lurch. i had to pull over (partially off of the road) into a neighbor's yard to avoid being hit by a large transport truck coming up on me rapidly. i pushed it into a "turned around" position and between pushing an the lurching got back home. the road i was on was too narrow and too busy to just leave it. i have a history of back surgery and this did not help!!!! after i got it to the hill near my home i coasted in still with no response to the gas. there was an orange light on with a wrench picture. i looked this up online and found numerous sites with others having the same problem with no help from ford! some were actually rear-ended on the interstates so i was fortunate in that aspect! (so far!) there is no recall on this issue and it seems that ford cannot diagnose it unless the light is currently on! the code erases once the engine is turned off and restarted so they "cannot" diagnose it and therefore send us back out in the defective vehicle. there is no warning that this is about to happen and there is no way to "move fast" enough to get out of the way of traffic. this could be fatal in fast moving thick traffic with larger vehicles coming up from behind at speed limits of 70 mph. the car will not move when it does this and rpms do not go above 1000rpm. are recalls only done when someone dies? if so, i need to trade this car in asap! *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2010 ford fusion. the contact stated while driving approximately 35 mph, the vehicle accelerated and jerked without warning. the vehicle was taken to a dealer where the technician diagnosed that the throttle body needed to be replaced. the vehicle was repaired. however, the failure recurred. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was 98,000. ..updated 12/11/14 * bf

Myself and two passengers (including 10 month old) were riding northbound on the interstate at approximately 65 mph. our 2010 ford fusion suddenly went into safe mode (aka "limp home mode") where the car continues to have power (steering, brakes, hvac systems) but it does not respond to pressing on the accelerator. we were traveling along at ~3-5mph with other traffic still traveling full speed. extremely dangerous situation in an extremely dangerous vehicle. a ford dealer had just performed recall 13b17 on the vehicle, which recalibrated the powertrain. unfortunately they did not install a new throttle body, which is covered on this vehicle in satisfaction program 13n03. *js

I was driving at a low speed of approximately 20-25 mph behind a large truck. truck pulled over to let people pass, and when i tried to accelerate, nothing happened and the speed dropped to 5mph and did not respond to accelerator pedal. an "orange wrench, repair needed" indicator light was on as i coasted off road and turned off ignition. waited 10 minutes, restarted car and drove home without incident. there was also another incident that seemed insignificant at the time: about 2 months ago, when accelerating to go up a hill, the car did not respond and crawled extremely slow uphill, but was ok when back on flat ground. recently received letter from ford about a recall repair for problem with throttle body, causing car to lose power, and to bring it in for a calibration upgrade. upgrade is to give slightly more power if you should have problem, but does not correct problem since not all cars will experience loss of power. went to dealer after i had lost power, asking for replacement of throttle body since i had an "incident" as described in recall. they only did a calibration upgrade since they could "not duplicate the problem" at repair shop.computer diagnostics did not record a problem with throttle body. said "no codes in pcm. re-flashed pcm, return to customer". the incident that happened to me was real, and potentially very dangerous. had i been out on the busy highway, it could have been fatal. i feel that if ford knows there is a problem and refuses to correct it when a problem is reported, they are being negligent. i wanted to somehow document what happened to me, since i feel the car is unsafe to drive, and this problem will likely happen again.ford knows about the problem, but if they can't trust what is being reported by a customer, the safety of anyone who owns one of these cars is being compromised. this is a very dangerous issue. *tr

We had been driving for 175 miles on the highway with the cruise control set. the car suddenly lost power with no warning and started slowing down. the service engine light came on as did the symbol of a wrench. i pulled off to shoulder. the car was idling very rough. stepping on the gas did not raise the engine speed. i shut the engine off and looked under the hood. there was nothing obviously wrong. i tried to restart the engine. it started and ran just fine. the warning lights were off. about 16 miles later the same thing happened. there was a small ford dealer a few miles away so i took it in. the person i spoke with was aware of this issue and indicated there was a service bulletin about it. apparently the problem is with the throttle body. they did not have one available. he said the car should always restart and we should be able to make it home. we drove the next 300 miles wondering what would happen. the car was fine for the rest of the trip. when we got home i looked this up on the internet and found countless postings of the same issue. it is obviously well known. given this, i think there should be a recall. this is very dangerous. we were on vacation (myself, wife, children) on a rural highway when the engine failed the first time. a semi truck was behind us and started catching up fast as i drifted off to the shoulder. they were blowing the air horn at me because there was another truck coming the other way and he could not move over. *tr

I was in a line of traffic to turn left at a turn signal. the cars in front of me went when the light turned green. when the light turned yellow, the truck in front of me stopped. i went from accelerating to braking, and the brake was pushed to the floor, but the car was still accelerating. i obviously rear-ended the car in front of me. he said he could see me and let off his brake when he realized my car wasn't stopping. luckily, no one was injured. i have scheduled an appointment to have the car looked at tonight at a dealership. this has happened before without incident, and i thought i was just imagining it. *js

When i start my car and drive out of parking it sputters for a bit. then later on i will completely loose the acceleration. i have to turn off and restart the car. it will work for a little bit and then i loose acceleration again. has happen on the highway, at a intersection, and side roads. i had the throttle replaced and it still happens...... *tr

When our vehicle a 10'ford fusion sel sedan started this the vehicle would start to shake and die when the speed would exceed forty mph then after a couple days of not bein able to drive over forty mph the vehicle would not go at all it would start and jerk and die to the point that the vehicle could not be driven. *tr

I was driving at 50 mph when the engine stopped working, even as i floored the accelerator. the lights, radio and a/c stayed on. i had to coast across several lanes of at least 50 mph traffic to the shoulder. as i turned off the engine, the car rumbled and shuddered for several seconds. i waited a minute, then restarted the car and was able to drive. ford covered the problem under an "extended warranty" for a throttle body problem, but i feel that my safety was in jeopardy by not fixing the problem before my car engine suddenly quit at high speed. in this area, having a car suddenly dive from 50 mph to almost nothing can get you killed. the throttle body problem should have been covered by a safety recall, rather than waiting to see who survives the problem to take the car in for service. *tr

The throttle body failed on my 2010 ford fusion that i purchased last month. the car felt as if it simply stopped working and would not accelerate. thankfully, it occurred at a low speed, though it was very frightening. apparently, this is a known issue and ford says it isn't covered under the powertrain warranty. i am concerned about driving the car, and i feel as though this known defective part will fail again. *tr

While driving my vehicle it suddenly felt like it stalled, but it actually had not. before i could safely pull off the road it began violently jerking the whole car. gas and brake controls were effected and the car was difficult to get off the road safely and difficult to stop it from moving forward once i got off the road. i quickly put it in park and turned it off. the check engine light came on as well as a wrench light during this incident. after about 5 minutes i turned the car back on and it seemed to be running fine. i started to drive to the body shop i use and after a couple minutes it did it again in the middle of an intersection. the car was extremely difficult to control and i was scared i would be hit by another car. after making it off the road again, i turned the car off. i eventually did get it to my body shop, but the defective throttle body could have resulted in a serious accident. ford should recall this part and fix it! *tr

I am a california highway patrol officer. i depend on ford vehicles. my life, literally depends upon it. that being said, i will never own a ford vehicle again. i own a 2010 ford fusion with 93,xxx miles on the odometer. as i was traveling to work, my fusion lost all power, and forced me to the right side shoulder of the highway. this action nearly resulted in a major injury, rear end collision. all this occurred during the hours of darkness, on a major highway, in the greater san francisco bay area. how this problem has not yet required immediate attention by the ford motor company // u.s government, is beyond belief. i purchased a replacement throttle body from an outside retailer, (not a ford factor part) installed it in my garage, and have had no issues as of this posting. how the ford motor company can justify $400 to $500 dollars to replace this problem part, is beyond my understanding. how is this not yet a government recall?? i may be forced to drive ford vehicles in order to do my job, but to reiterate, my family will never again purchase a ford vehicle. every cloud has a silver lining. i am grateful my fusion shut down rather than accelerate. i guess the ford motor company must have learned something from the toyota motor company. now it just takes the useless government morons to force ford motor company to admit to, and fix this obvious problem. *js

i was traveling on a secondary road at about 45 mph when with out warning there was a sudden power failure. i was able to get off the road. i called the dealer service desk and was told it might be a "computer glitch". i started and drove the car about 3 miles back home without incident. i tried about 5 times in our long drive to duplicate the problem. because i could not duplicate, i decided to continue on my errands. this time i traveled about 5 miles and the same power failure occurred. i had it towed to the dealer at my expense and after 36 hrs had my car back. they replaced the throttle body under a customer satisfaction program (13n03) at no expense to me. luckily for me my experience happened on a rural road. had it happened on a multilane, high speed road a very serious multicar accident may have occurred. i was assured that the new throttle body would not have the same problem. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2010 ford fusion. the contact stated that while merging into traffic, the vehicle decelerated and the wrench warning lamp illuminated. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the failure and current mileage was 88,000.

While driving on the highway the engine started to shake and shudder and i had to pull over in heavy traffic. turning the car off, then on again helped for a bit then engine started stumbling again. diagnostic equipment revealed error code p2111, throttle actuator control system -stuck open. ford has a customer satisfaction campaign (13n03) for this issue that is not advertised to consumers unless they research this issue. this could have easily caused an accident as the car completely lost power when this event occurred. *tr

Ford issued an extended warranty for the throttle body for my 2010 ford fusion. i received multiple letters in the mail letting me know that my car was receiving this warranty. yesterday, my car suddenly stopped acceleration and made an extreme jerk multiple times on the freeway- this could have killed myself, my passengers and anyone who may have hit me. today, i was told that because my vehicle has a salvaged title, ford would not fix the throttle body component. i am not covered for their stupid extended warranty program. ford needs a full recall for the throttle body, for people like me who are beyond warranty coverage. they already conned me into an unnecessary $1400 repair before, now i feel that i am only being conned again. own up to your mistakes ford! i'm tired of having my safety at risk because of you! *tr

While driving on the interstate at highway speeds in the left hand lane, the vehicle lost all ability to accelerate. while all other controls remained (steering, braking, hvac), the vehicle was unable to accelerate or maintain highway speeds. the service wrench light activated on the dashboard and the vehicle indicated a transmission error. this was a dangerous situation as not having the ability to accelerate while on the interstate makes it very hard to position the vehicle safely on the roadway. vehicle was towed to a ford garage where it was diagnosed as a known problem with the throttle body. while it was a known issue, ford only extended the warranty on the item and did not recall the vehicle. given the danger associated with the loss of acceleration, this vehicle should have been recalled before the vehicle lost the ability to accelerate while on an interstate. *tr

I was no longer able to accelerate. the car was running but while i was driving the car stalled in the middle of the road and as i tried to give the car gas it just increased rpm's but didn't move the car. i pulled off into a parking lot turned the car off and on and it began to run again, but lost all computer information so the mechanic couldn't figure out the problem. it has happened multiple times since then. *tr

Driving to work car had a thump then loss of power(couldn't accelerate ) and amber wrench light came on. pulled over to side of highway as quickly and safely as i could. engine was idling rough. put in park and turned off car for 2 seconds, and turned back on. car ran fine, until 3 days later when exact same problem occurred. *tr

Letter from congresswoman bonamici on behalf of constituent re concerns for the drivers of ford vehicles who may experience a failure in the throttle body resulting in decreased speed down to 5 mph. (attn: joyce fleming). *smd the letter the consumer received, stated a malfunction may occur, due to possible contamination of the internal motor contacts in the throttle body resulting in reduced vehicle speed. *jb

While sitting at a stop light, the car started accelerating faster and faster. had to turn the car off to get it to stop. next light, the same thing. took it to dealership and they said it was the throttle body, and they replaced it. (recall?) worked ok until 3/27/2014 and pulling into a parking lot, with my foot on the brake to slow down, the car started accelerating again. i turned the car off to get it to stop. glad i wasn't on a highway or interstate when this happened. going back to dealership tomorrow, as i consider this a dangerous problem. *tr

I was driving the road around 50 mph.,when suddenly my car was idling! i tried to push the gas but the car was no power i gear off to the side of the road. i put the car to park. after i restart my car and seems nothing was wrong with it.i took my car to ford dealer schwabengarage ag stuttgart-vaihingen germany / garage to look what is wrong with it, they didn't see anything wrong with it. so i drove my car again, my boyfriend search the problem and found out that the throttle body is not working right ,but the dealer couldn't see the problem. my boyfriend order the parts anyway because i can feel that my car is going to break down again. i was driving this morning with my two kids when my car lose power again. i turned it off and start again and after 100 meters it did the same again. i was terrified and pray hard that the other car will not hit us. i took my car to aafes / military installation car care with the parts we purchased and replaced the throttle body. i drove my car home today and got home safely. i found out that ford fusion has been having this problem. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2010 ford fusion. the contact stated that the vehicle was slow to accelerate when the accelerator pedal was depressed and idled extremely low. the vehicle suddenly surged at a high rate of speed. the contact had to coast the vehicle off the road and restart the vehicle. the vehicle was taken to a dealer who was unable to replicate and diagnose the failure. the contact received notification of a manufacturer service campaign for the electronic throttle body extended coverage, but the dealer refused to provide the manufacturer's solution to repair the vehicle. the contact was uncertain if the vehicle would be repaired the contact received notification of customer satisfaction program: 13n03. the failure mileage was not available. updated 06/29/17*lj *cn

I was driving on a two lane highway when the throttle would not engage. i tried to accelerate but it would not, the car just lost power but did not stop running. *tr
