Takata recall this recall has been known since june 2016, and there is still no resolution for my vehicle. i've been told replacement parts are still not available.

Tl* the contact owns a 2009 ford fusion. the contact observed that the dashboard panel began to fail/warp near the passenger air bag. the failure occurred without warning. in addition, the contact stated that the panel was separated and there was a bulge where the air bag was located. the vehicle was taken to a local dealer (o'meara ford, 400 w 104th ave, northglenn, co, 80234) where it was diagnosed that the panel needed to be replaced. since it was an upholstery repair, the contact was advised to call an auto body shop. the manufacturer confirmed that there was no recall and stated that the failure was not something that they would cover. the manufacturer did not offer any additional assistance except for referring the contact to nhtsa. the failure mileage was approximately 58,000.

Takata recall... my daughter went to pittsburgh to attend school and uses our ford fusion. well over a year ago, she received a recall on the airbag. she is afraid of driving in this death-trap with friends but ford - after more than a year -- still won't give her a date for the repair. the whole family is scared for her. i had a gm product that had the same problem and they were able to make the fix several months ago. can you help her get the proper fix in pittsburgh before she and her friends are seriously hurt or killed in this ford vehicle? ford keeps dragging its feet and does not seem to care. please help! i look forward to hearing from you. much thanks, [xxx] [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).'*jb

takata recall have not been notified of remedy as of yet. only received first notice. said to receive second notice before recall could be done.

Passenger side, dash board air bag panel is bulging abd separating. ford states not a recall and not covered by extended warranty. i googled the problem and it seems like hundreds of people have same issues. how is this not a recall?! is my car safe to drive like this? will airbag pop out for no reason? will i work upon impact? i don't have spare money to fix (reason i bought an extended warranty). very dissatisfied with ford.

I have received a recall but no parts have been sent to dealership. dealership said i have to wait for a letter stating the part is in. that is wrong on all parties. if there is injury caused in my vehicle i will not rest until someone is held accountable. takata should be making sure the parts are available there problem they need to fix it.

My dash board is separating from the air bag.. very scary... also my door handle is broken... i can no longer lock the front driver side door so i am never really safe in my car... i think the dash board should be a recall cause i know the ford place gets complaints all the time for it happening to people all around. it's not our fault the dash board is doing that, and there is nothing we could have done to prevent it. it very unsafe. they should want to make ur customers happy...

Tl* the contact owns a 2009 ford fusion. the contact stated that while depressing the brake pedal, the vehicle accelerated independently without warning. as a result, the contact crashed into a garage door and the air bags failed to deploy. a police report was not filed and there were no injuries reported. the vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic but was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the failure mileage was 27,750.

I'm concered with the air bag on the passenger side. the dashboard panel has lifted right on top of the air bag. i'm affraid this might be a safety concern and do not know why the dash around the air bag is warped/ rising. the dash air vents are also pushed out of place. i have grand children that ride in the car and am concerned for their safety as well as my own. *tr

Takata airbag recall

Takata inflators i bought my fusion in 2013 . maybe about a year and a half later one day my airbag light came on out of the blue. my car warrenty at the i believe expired. i took it to a ford dealership and was charge i believe $99 for a diagnostic. i maybe wrong i may need to find the report from back in 2014 but i believe they said it was a bag air installed in on passenger side and it would be 900 to fix. i said no because i was a student i couldn't afford that. i have just accepted the fact it was no good. i then see this recall i got notified on and it got me wondering. so i just wanted to send this to be noted under my vin.

Deer strike font end traveling about 40 mph,, 9 year old in passenger seat, air bag did not deploy as required , she was too light., damage to front end bumper, hood, and grill. upon repair i noticed that the dash board just below the passenger air bag had been buckled and pulled away from the air bag cover.the body shop told me that there was no way to repair this except replace the entire dash board and then there was no guarantee that it just would not happen again. body tech told me that repair may interfere with the operation of the air bag deploying as well as leaving it alone. this is a known design issue with ford fusions and there are no service bulletins or recalls. insurance would not cover repair since it was caused by heat on the dash and there was nothing to glue the dash back on. google'd the issue and there are hundreds of complaints on line all over the country. anything that has a potential of air bag operation is a critical safety concern. *tr

This may be a huge coincidence but immediately after being sideswiped with only passenger side view mirror damaged, the driver's side door would no longer open from the inside. we thought it was related to the impact on the passenger side but this seems to be a recurring problem with ford fusions. we have to keep the motor running, lower the window and reach out to the exterior driver door handle to open the driver side door. this should be a ford recall item. for awhile the airbag light will intermittently stay on while driving. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2009 ford fusion. while driving 5 mph, the heel of the contact's shoe became stuck in the floormat and interfered with the accelerator pedal. as a result, the contact crashed the vehicle into a parked vehicle. the air bags failed to deploy. the contact did not sustain any injuries. the vehicle was not repaired and the manufacturer was not notified. the failure mileage was unknown.

After hitting a rough area on the road, my brake pedal went all the way to the floor. it never corrected itself. that was a few years ago and the pedal still goes to the floor every time i press the brakes. also, the dash where the air bag is, is severely bubbled.

This vehicle was traveling in the right lane when it was run off the interstate at 75-80 mph, it went off the right shoulder, came back into the right lane, went into a spin, went off the roadway at the left shoulder and rolled over 1-2 times in the median before striking the interstate dividing cable which prevented the vehicle from entering the oncoming lanes of travel. the driver and passenger were buckled in, and there were two dogs as passengers. one of the dogs was ejected. no airbags deployed!!!! *tr

Takata recall. i received a recall notice on my 2009 ford fusion in 2012.. i have received 2 more notices since then. i have called my local ford dealership on a regular basis and am told each time that they have not received parts for the recall yet and do not know when they will receive them.

Tl* the contact owned a 2009 ford fusion. the contact stated that while driving 70 mph, he attempted to pass another vehicle and the steering wheel seized. the contact lost control of the vehicle and crossed over the highway, crashing into a mountain side. when the authorities arrived, the steering wheel remained seized. none of the air bags deployed. the vehicle was destroyed. the manufacturer was notified, but offered no assistance. the failure and current mileages were 87,000.

Tl* the contact owns a 2009 ford fusion. the contact fell asleep while driving and was involved in a crash in which the air bags did not deploy. the contact was unsure of the exact speed the vehicle was traveling during the failure. a police report was filed and the contact suffered minor injuries. the vehicle was towed to an independent repair shop where it was in the process of being repaired. the failure was not diagnosed. the failure and current mileage was 56,000. the vin was unavailable.

Ford sent a recall on the airbags and not on the inflator which take longer and longer to show inflation on dash light.

Takata recall

Takada air bag

1.takata recall. 3-5 year waiting period and yet no repair. also, if driver airbag is takata, why no recall or replacement? 2. brakes will drop all the way to floor in emergency braking! why no recall or fix? this is life threatening problem.

Takata recall. why has ford not yet replaced/repaired my airbag? i was notified years ago of potential death from exploding airbag, yet ford has done nothing to rectify this.

Takata recall - my dealership has not provided replacement airbags. i have called several times and they have not replaced the airbags stating that replacement parts are not available from ford. this is a danger to me.

Have a recall of vehicle for over two years and no results
