It's been years since ford told us about the recall, and they still don't have parts available to fix it. they also won't get a rental car for us when they acknowledge that it's dangerous and that we should 'leave our car sitting' until it's fixed. how can someone leave their car sitting for years?? ford should be required to start actually fixing these cars.

Takata recall !!!!!!! the display panel warning lights come on and go off at will. mostly when its humid outside or raining. this is including the scary airbag light, oil light, engine light. i am stuck with the car since ford stated no one should sit in the front passenger seat. has no value. and i pray every day it does not kill me!

Takata safety recall 18s01: i purchased the vehicle 6 months ago. i recently received the defective airbag recall notice dated feb 2018. today i had the vehicle appraised to see if trading it in was an option. the cash value i was quoted vs. the payoff amount is over $5,000. the availability for replacement airbags are estimated to be a year or more & priority has been given to dealerships located in the south. i can't sale the vehicle because of the defect, but i'm beyond afraid to continue driving the vehicle because of the defect. i'm disabled, recovering from a recent craniotomy & the medical facility is an hour away. i'm in need of a safe & reliable vehicle. ford motor company isn't offering any compensation (timely repairs, replacements vehicle, loaners or even a partial refund to assist with the trade-in value). my auto insurance coverage can't get involved because it's a recall. ford motor company has instructed dealerships not to remove the airbags because the risk is greater. i now have a vehicle that (do to no fault of my own) i've made all of 5 payments on with 42 more months of financing & interest that i'm obligated to pay that's parked because it can't be repaired in a timely manner & that can't be safely driven because of a manufacturer's pre-existing condition. what am i suppose to do with this vehicle now??

It has been a year since i was advised of the nhtsa recall 17v-024. i just called the dealership and they still don't have the parts. did not take my name or any information, just told me to call back in a week.

Takata recall i received a postcard 01/2018 that my ford fusion 2009 was being recalled due to problems with the takata airbags. i phoned diehl ford (bellingham, wa 98225) they said it was a preliminary notice. i received a letter with same information as the postcard. diehl ford told me i had to wait for the next letter. when i received that letter, diehl told me they were out of airbag replacements and i would have to wait for the next airbag shipment, probably september or october 2018. as of today, oct. 26, 2018 i have not heard anything more. the car has been parked for months, i cannot drive it. i am not willing to pay out-of-pocket for a rental car.

I have been notified that my vehicle is subject to a recall because it has a passenger takata air bag. i have repeatedly checked with my dealer, sheehy ford in gaithersburg, md about the date my vehicle will be recalled. they have no information and no advice for me except to consider trading the vehicle in. this is totally unacceptable to me.

Takata recall - i received a notice july 2016 about the recall and there is still no remedy. i don't fee safe with a passenger in the front seat as the area around the airbag is wharped and not secure. the airbagrecall.com site says shrapnel can be sprayed instead of the airbag deploying during an accident. this is not safe for passengers. the vehicle has not been in an accident where the airbag has deployed, but i am scared what will happen to passengers in the car if shrapnel is sprayed.

Takata recall. i got recall notice from ford that my passenger side air bag is affected by takata recall, and they will contact me when air bag is ready. i got this notice in 2016. now it is end of 2017, already one year. i have not got any notice about when this can be handled. i called ford dealership close to me, they told me they have too many cars to fix, and told me ford will contact me in future. as a result, i could not use this car to transport family due to safety concerns. therefore i suffer monetary loss because i paid for this vehicle but could not use it as i need.
