Takata recall: in july 2016 (2016) i was notified about the front passenger seat airbag recall by ford motor company. i have telephoned my local dealer a couple times since without "luck" that i can get the repair. i've contacted ford motor through their chat line and been told the same thing the letter said, "you'll be notified". i year (almost) later i still live in fear when someone has to ride in my front passenger seat! this is totally ridiculous and shouldn't happen in the good old usa. i have a friend with an accord (honda) who got her car fixed within about 4 months (same problem) and another who has an infiniti who got their car fixed (same problem) in about 6 months. pretty much says, "don't buy american" in my estimation! after 1 year, i think ford should start compensating people they have not been able to service because not only is this inconvenient it is dangerous. news reports say the situation is especially bad for hot / humid climates...well, that's just where i live!

Takata recall i was notified in july 2016 of the airbag recall and was told there was no fix at that time and i would be notified when there was a fix. i revisited my local ford dealership in july of 2017 and was told there was still no fix. i received from tk holdings inc. about them filing for chapter 11 and i should contact my dealer immediately and have my airbag fixed. there is still no fix available.

Received 5 notices regarding airbag safety problems (first dated july 2016 second dated december 2017, third dated june 2018 and final one dated august 2018) i called a ford dealer in my area in september 2018 and was informed them of the dmv notice. was told that the dmv don't decide these matters we do and said i should get a notice within 2 to 3 weeks. well it's now november and no notice. since we only have this car we continue to drive it. we have no other form of transportation. i have been very worried about driving this car but have no other options. any help would be welcome. thank you

Takata recall a recall letter for our vehicle was sent in july 2016 and it is now july 2017 and nothing has been done about the recall. this is very unacceptable. how can it take over a year to resolve this problem? this issue needs to be escalated so these vehicles can be repaired/fixed before some one else gets killed from the faulty passenger air bags.

Reference complaint no. 11006081 and no. 11006075 airbag replacement - 2007 mustang and 2008 fusion: i found the following information on a honda website - "the 'alpha' driver-front airbag inflators were the subject of the first takata airbag inflator recalls starting in 2008. in most cases, the previous owners of these affected vehicles did not replace the inflators under those recalls and, thus, the vehicles remain unrepaired. now, because of the time that has passed, they are even more likely to rupture if the driver's airbag deploys in a crash. in fact, in testing done by takata, alpha inflators removed from vehicles in consistently hot and humid areas showed a rupture rate as high as 50 percent." can i expect the same, higher percentage of kill rate, in the inflators in my 2007 mustang and 2008 fusion as they age, as found by honda? i will pay to have the airbags/inflators replaced - request your office provide the correct part numbers and recommended place to have the work correctly accomplished. i did not receive a response from your office to either referenced complain, any information your office can provide is appreciated. v/r, tom

Takata reall - over a year the issue is still unresolved. what does your office recommend? how unsafe does your office believe the vehicle is to drive? how long did your office allow ford to fix this safety issue? also, i received the 15s21 recall (driver side air bag) on the families ford mustang 2007; however, a 15s21 recall was never received on the 2008 fusion (driver side air bag) why?

Takata recall this is not a new recall and all ford will say is that they are working to get parts to fix the problem..with no idea of when this might be taken care of..this is a very dangerous situation. nothing has happened..am i to understand that until i or my loved ones are injured that i can not even enter a complaint?

Takata recall. safety recall notice 16s26 / nhtsa recall 16v-38. i received a recall notice about the takata recall from ford motor co. more than a year ago (july 2016). i have never heard from ford since and have questioned my local dealer several times and have been told they have not received the parts. the notice stated that the issue was with the passenger side airbag, so i am concerned about letting anyone ride in that seat. i believe that having to wait more than a year with no response or to have this resolved is unreasonable and a real safety issue for me and my family.

Takata recall - despite repeated efforts to get the airbag replaced through seelye ford in kalamazoo mi as directed by ford recall notices (first notice received july 2016) they still have been unable to do it. latest notice received in june 2018 indicated parts were anticipated in 2nd and 3rd quarters of 2018....still not available as of oct 29, 2018- have made repeat visits and phone calls. have been unable to transport any passengers in the front seat since receiving this notice over 2 years ago. can't sell it without this repair - so overall a real mess.
