We have classified the 94 complaints from 2006 Ford Fusion about POWER TRAIN into the following categories.
Tl* the contact owns a 2006 ford fusion. while driving 65 mph, the transmission engaged into fourth gear, overdrive, and then downshifted without warning. the driver lost control of the vehicle, but managed to move the vehicle to the side of the road. the vehicle was driven to a transmission repair shop where it was diagnosed that the transmission gear failed. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was contacted. the dealer was not notified. the failure mileage was 133,547.
When driving on city street at 45mph the car jolted excessively once and then went out of gear untill it slowed to 30mph and slammed again violently and rpms went up to 5000 which maintaned my speed at 45mph at that time the wrench light came on and as i was coming to a red light it jerked forward while i was braking almost hit a pedestrian in crosswalk. at green light i attempted to accelerate but the car moved slowly untill it reached 25 mph and then went out of gear while i was on the gas i tried to put it into low gear to get going so i could pull over but it didnt respond as this was happening a desiel truck had rear ended me totaling the car i just bought a week prior. . its very unsafe car for this transmission is apparently plagued with this problem for so many others i just hope it dosent take even one death of another life before this problem is admitted and recalled to fix. so many depend on their car as i had depended on fords slogans built ford tough ...yeah built to get us nearly killed i say. thousands of dollars lost in the car purchase and lost work and medical bills i may not recover from. at least i didnt die and am thankfull for that. but i will never look at ford the same way as my nightmares consume me with the reoccurring details of my near death experience i had operating this fusion se.
Transmission slipping, shift extremely hard from 2nd to 3rd. feels as if the motor and tranny is gonna fall out of the vehicle.
My 2006 ford fusion jerks violently while attempting to accelerate or brake. it does not accelerate at times, it instead just revs my rpm gauge. it has happened on the highway going hwy speeds of 60-70, as well as going 35 mph on a military base. it bumped while braking at speeds less than 20 mph as well. ford needs to issue recalls on this vehicle because it is absolutely unsafe, especially for customers with children. the amount of complaints similar to mine is appalling, as ford still sees no responsibility over it.
2006 ford fusion: transmission slipping while driving. slows down while on freeway and goes in out of gear. took it to ammco and they recommend a rebuilt transmission. i see many of the same complaints they recalled focus and fiesta why not fusion? it is the same issue that is in being settled now with the focus and ford fiesta. this is not only dangerous but costly. i have finally found out what the issue is with the aisin transmissions slipping which were used in the 2006 fusion http://www.fordtransmissionproblems.com/fusion-transmission-problems/
2006 ford fusion: when driving after the car gets warm up it is starts slipping and shifting someone harshly like it just got kicked. i was on the freeway and couldn't speed up almost got rear ended. i see others have the same issue after doing a search i found different answer as what could be wrong. found out what the issue is with the aisin transmissions slipping which were used in the 2006 fusion. it is due to valve bore wear in the main control. if the trans fluid isnt burnt (meaning there is internal trans clutch damage) then you are looking at $800-$1000 to replace the main control. if the clutches are burnt the whole trans will have to be replaced cost??? something like $4000-$5000. the problem is that when ford bought the aisin trans, ford did not buy the service rights. so there are no service parts available or training avail on how to service this trans. the issue with the main control has been so common that aisin has agreed to supply ford with service main controls.there has been a technical service bulletin out there. see below tsb bulletin date: feb 2007 various driveability/transmission symptoms - pcm/tcm calibration updates 3.0l - aisin f21 auto trans. ( nhtsa item number - 10021277 ) as one person posted. ford needs to make this right!!! very unsafe*** our car is parked in the garage we can not afford to fix it or sell it with a bad transmission .ammco said needs new transmission.
Engine jerks when accelerating or driving and sometimes when vehicle is idle
Tansmision cuando detengo la marcha y vuevo a ponerla en marcha golpea fuerte como si saltara de primera a tercera
Seat belt on passenger side light want go out....engine light stays on...hum sent a message feb 1st statingpower train 1 alert.
Tl* the contact owns a 2006 ford fusion. while driving between 20-38 mph, the vehicle failed to shift gears, jerked severely, and the check engine and transmission warning indicators illuminated. the vehicle was taken to anderson ford lincoln (3601 stockton hill rd, kingman, az 86409, (928) 757-3131) where it was diagnosed that the 4th and 5th gears were incorrect. while the vehicle was at the dealer for the gear repairs, it was also diagnosed that the valve body and solenoids needed replacement, and the pcm and tcm needed reprogramming. all the repairs were completed, but the failure recurred. the vehicle was then taken to an independent transmission facility where it was diagnosed with the same failure and parts as the dealer. the contact stated that the vehicle was once again repaired, but the failure persisted. the vehicle was taken to another independent transmission facility where it was diagnosed that the entire transmission needed replacement and the failure was a known issue with ford. the contact stated that the transmission was not replaced because he already spent money to have the transmission repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to nhtsa. the failure mileage was approximately 100,000. the vin was unknown.
Wrench light appeared on dash and while driving the car on the city streets the car has a sluggish start and then a bit of a burst and then light power as i accelerate. also i have had to change door handles and locks 3 times since i have purchase. the handles just snap off. the car will unlock but i have to manually lock most locks and open the car by putting down the window.
Tl* the contact owns a 2006 ford fusion. while accelerating from a stop, the vehicle's speed increased very slowly and shifted abnormally. in addition, the check engine indicator illuminated. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, but was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the failure mileage on the rebuilt engine was approximately 90,000 and the vehicle failure mileage was approximately 152,000.
Vehicle after warming up and put in gear will only move forward very slowly takes several minutes before i can get a acceptable forward motion. can not go in traffic as car only moves at a very small rate of speed. eventually it will go into the normal mode for driving car forward..
When pressing the gas pedal to accelerate to merge on to the highway the car jerked and then will not go anywhere the motor just reaves up. until you pull over and turn it off and restart it is the only way to get it to move again.
Was on the freeway in traffic. car starting surging and was hard to keep it in a stopped position. once traffic started flowing, i stepped on gas and would had no power could not accelerate past 20 miles an hour. car was towed to shop. dealer said it was the throttle body. i researched and ford has had this problem on their cars, but said mine is not included even though i fell into the 10 year under 150,000 miles. they said my vin is not covered.
My 06 fusion has been shifting funny, but i didn't know what it was. while having my oil changed, i had a 6 point inspection done, and nothing came back except my tie-rods needing replaced. one night, while driving home, suddenly my car had a hesitation when shifting into second gear. it would rev up to 3 rpm, then shift hard into 2nd gear and run fine. two stop lights later, the shift began to get harder. i finally made it home, but later had to run an errand. the shifting got worse. now, it was as if i was about to get a neck injury from the shifting from 1st to 2nd gear. i realized that i needed to get home, because it was too late to go to the dealership. when heading to work the next morning, the wrench light popped up on the dashboard. living only 7 minutes from work, i thought i was fine. but now, i no longer made it to 2nd gear. it stayed on first, and remained revved up to the point it was losing power. i was scared that i was going to get stuck in the middle of the road. now, with my vehicle in the shop, i'm being told that the transmission needs an overhaul. the cost is $2800. when is the recall going to come into play?
When driving the wrench light comes on and the car looses power. i can't accelerate. if i pull off the road and turn off the car and turn it back on it fixes it. sometimes the check engine light comes on after that.
Car dies whilst driving. this is a safety issue. authorized ford dealer service determined issue was caused by a defective throttle body. *tr
Transmission started slipping and then failed completely.had to have car towed to dealer.they say it needs transmission replaced.they say rust caused a hole in tubing and fluid ran out.car has just more than 73,000 miles on it.car serviced routinely, not driven in bad weather much.
Tl* the contact owns a 2006 ford fusion. the contact stated that while driving approximately 60 mph, the vehicle suddenly decelerated and failed to accelerate over 20 mph. the vehicle was restarted and the failure recurred. the vehicle was towed to the dealer for diagnosis. the technician noticed that the wrench warning light illuminated and diagnosed that the drive train and the throttle body failed. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 97,000.
While shifting from higher gear to lower gear while climbing a hill, transmission jumped between gears, slamming the gears as if popping a clutch (it's an automatic transmission). on another hill, the vehicle did not engage in the lower gear, revving up to about 4000 rpm as if in neutral, leaving the car decelerating on the uphill stretch among speeding traffic. i had to move the gear shift to neutral and back to drive, ease on the accelerator, and the lower gear engaged, after slowing to about 35 on 65 mph speed limit freeway. ford lists the repair in tsb 08-24-1 as "transmission harsh shifting" and recommends replacement of the main control. this part has been identified as faulty and common with the transmissions installed on my vehicle and many other makes and models. it presents a clear danger to drivers and passengers who risk being rear-ended due to sudden deceleration or stranded due to "harsh shifting" damage to the transmission and drive train. i have no confidence driving the car out of town or near any hill, and the vehicles should be recalled. *tr
While driving on the suncoast pkwy at 60 mph my vehicle suddenly slowed to only 20 mph causing me to be a road hazard. i was nearly killed by the other cars in the flow . it was a frightening experience. *tr
Vehicle is hesitant to start and get up past 5 mph and engine light came on. took car to local pep boys where they placed it on engine machine. per pep boy car through throttle body stuck open code. local dealer closed dropped car off for look over. dealer confirmed monday that throttle body is stuck but state that this vehicle is not a part of current throttle body recall...im writing this here so if ford should decide to cover this at a future time i'll be able to file for a refund. *tr
Was driving down a busy highway when the car just chugged and died. the tool light came on after it failed to go by giving it gas.this is the second time this has happened to my car. i took it to my ford dealership and it turned out to be the throttle body. i am very upset and being a women i had no idea how to handle this situation when it happened. it has cost alot of money to replace and it is very dangerous. is there a recall on this part ? if so i would like to know about it. *tr
Trying to accelerate onto highway, vehicle would rev up to limit 6k and slam into gear causing tires to spin and almost lose control. have to park and turn off vehicle to resume driving. others time car would just lose momentum and rpms go very high but no movement. again, park car turn off and resume driving. was told by many mechanics that this is a tranny problem in this model ford. cost of $2,000 to repair. seems to be very common and am just logging my records incase ford finally acknowledges it. *tr
When i was driving 55 mph, the car did a little jerk like it had missed. no lights came on and i drove to the nearest side road off the highway and stopped. i tried to go further but only made it about 100 yards because i lost all power including steering. my car was half in the road so i was thankful this was not a high traffic road. the engine light came on and there was a smell. it wasn't the smell of oil but was a fluid smell. the car would not turn over and had to be towed to the dealership. it came up as a misfire 3 and they told me that they had to replace the coil. this did not fix the problem and they said the 3 coil when it blew it took out the other coils as well as the 6 spark plugs and the pcm. this was a $2250 repair. i only have 68,000 on the car. after reading other tsb, some stated that if under 80,000 miles/8 years that it was covered under the manufacture warranty. i called ford and was told i missed the 8 year mark by exactly 30 days. there was nothing that i could do but hold on to my receipts in case there would ever be a recall. this is the only major issue i have had. i have never had any other engine issues with the car. i've only had 2 minor issues before this and they were the lumbar going out in the driver's seat ($300 repair that i did not replace) and 2 door handles breaking from the inside that were $160 to replace each. i did replace bc of the safety issue of not being able to get out of the car. after reading the tsb, i see that the pcm and coils are a recurring issue and i am thankful i was on a side road when it occurred... i am very worried that it may occur again and hope this issues will be or has been looked into for the safety of others. *tr
Tl*the contact owns a 2006 ford fusion. the contact stated that while driving at approximately 75 mph, the accelerator pedal was depressed but the speed would decrease. the failure occurred on numerous occasions. the vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed that the variable valve solenoids, the ignition coils, the pcm reflash and the spark plugs needed to be replaced. the vehicle was repaired. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 98,000.
I was driving at about 30mph suddenly i could not accelerate and the car died in the middle if the road luckily i was able to pull off safely without killing anyone! took the car to a local mechanic as well as a ford dealer both agreed needs new pcm and 6 ignition coils = $2000! is it going to take an actual death for this to be recalled? *tr
Coming off an exit ramp at approx. 35 mph i felt a jerking/stalling feeling as i merged into freeway traffic where the speed limit is 65 mph. i viewed my instrument panel and found the wrench symbol illuminated. acceleration was sluggish briefly, but after awhile acceleration seemed to return to norm. all the while the wrench light remained illuminated for an approx. 25 miles. once in a safe location i turned the car off and waited approximately two minutes before attempting to restart it. upon restarting the wrench light was no longer illuminated. i drove the car another approx. 10 miles to make it home and the wrench light is no longer illuminated when car is restarted. this all took place in the midst of a snow/sleet storm. a drive that typically takes approx. 45 minutes took approx. 4 hours. i called the service department of my local ford dealership and understandably i found that they had closed and reopening the next day was/is in question due to the weather. *tr
Tl* the contact owns a 2006 ford fusion. the contact stated that while the vehicle was idle, it responded as if it was shutting down. when gasoline was added to the vehicle, it only accelerated up to 5 mph. the vehicle had to be shut down and restarted in order to regain proper acceleration. the failure recurred three times over a period of four months. the vehicle was taken to a dealer, who diagnosed that the vehicle had an internal short. the throttle body assembly needed to be replaced and the pcm reset in order to repair the vehicle. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the defect. the approximate failure mileage was 124,000.
I have had problems with it since i bought it, it has problems starting especially when its cold outside. driver heated seat caught fire and melted my seat, now my heated seat doesn't work and seat is ruined. transmission is poorly made and unsafe. while driving it has problems shifting, shoots the rpms all the way up. the car sounds like its going to blow up. does it mostly when showing down and speeding up. not the only person having issues, ford needs to stop being so cheap and recall the 2006 http://repairpal.com/transmission-problem-242. *tr
In 2013 i experienced a loss of speed/power on my 2006 ford fusion. i pulled into a parking space at a shopping center and turned the car off. when the incident happened the wrench light and the traction light where lit on the dashboard display. when i started the car back up the lights were off on the dashboard and the car seemed to run fine. i did not have another incident until 2014. this time the check engine light came on as well as the wrench and traction lights. i took it and had a diagnostic done and was told it was the p code indicating the throttle. i drove the car back home and looked up the p code and found hundreds of complaints regarding this part. it was also being said that this part was defective and that ford had issued a 10 year extended warranty (from time of purchase) on the part. again, after starting the car the next day it was running fine, no check engine light or any other lights on. it ran fine until june 2015. at this point i had had enough and called the ford dealership where i purchased the car. mind you, my car only has 51k original miles. i made an appointment and dropped it off on june 24th, 2015. i was called that day and told that ford would not be covering the throttle body because my vin# was not one listed. i questioned this because the information i found regarding the warranty for the part didn't mention specific vins only. the service person stated that they would fix it but only if i paid for the throttle body part and labor. i picked the car up today, june 25th, 2015 and paid a shocking 788.94 for this part and labor and the 39.99 oil change and tire rotation special. this is insane. i was not in a crash or wreck however it did surge and drop speed to 20 miles an hour with cars behind me slamming on breaks. when will ford decide to do the right thing and cover the cost of this part/repair, when someone is killed?

I was traveling on a local highway behind a slow moving traffic at 30mph. a car let me over in to the left traveling lane, as i pushed down the gas paddle to accelerate my car jumped several times and made a popping sound. it went from 30mph to 0mph and the car behind me slammed on it's brakes and came within inches of hitting me! after doing research online last night (http://repairpal.com/transmission-problem-242#), i realized that many fusion owners have had similar issues, and that ford is aware of the issue with the german transmission installed in this model. it was a very scary, life threatening experience and i cannot believe that ford has not recalled 2006 fusion knowing that the transmission has a history of being faulty! i was fearful for my life, the life of my puppy in the backseat, and the life of the driver and other drivers behind me! i have this question for ford, "is making money more important than a human life?" let's get this right and recall all models that have this specific german transmission installed! *tr
Today while traveling down i-40 with my children in the car my ford fusion revved up to almost 5 rpms and started jerking i stepped on the gas and nothing was happening just revved up and then finally jumped into gear. at that time we just about got rear ended by two vehicles that was behind us on the interstate running between 55-60mph. im very concerned about the 2006 ford fusions transmissions and believe this problem needs to quit being over looked. as of today i have been doing some investigating myself and apparently everyone that owns a 2006 ford fusion has had a similar incident, l have read forums and just googled and a lot of people are having the same experiences. i just want something done like a recall i believe that would be the right thing to have done. one more thing i had no idea my fusions transmission was even bad never had my car do anything like it done today. thanks *tr
As reported multiple times these transmissions begin to slip very badly. while trying to merge into traffic almost 90% of the time hot or cold at about 40mph when you press the gas the transmission will slip leaving you hanging out to dry(this is extremely dangerous)...when downshifting sometimes around 20mph there will be a loud banging under the drivers side area...the tsb was issued way back in 2007 regarding all these issues but no recall...the floor mats were recalled? but not this issue. all over the internet you see the insane amount of people having this same issue due to the aisin transmission they used....same problem occurred in multiple makes and models of vehicles with same transmission components. they say replace the transmission "valve body" or aka control assembly...its only $2,000 if you haven't already burnt up the whole transmission then its $4-5k. *tr
At first i felt on previous day slippage at slow uphill driving and some starts. huge bang like the bottom was falling out of the car. like i was rear ended. then on july 6th while on flat, dry 4 lane at 50 mph it felt like it slipped into neutral and the engine revved up. i took foot off of accelerator and it went back into gear. i had someone else's child in my car. this is dangerous. i am in the nc area to have surgery and staying at a friends house. i am disabled too. i cannot in anyway afford to fix this. i was a ford employee when i got this car. i love ford. only heated seat and lumbar problems that i can't fix either. i would like a recall and help to fix this. please. i have no place to live and my car is all i own. please help.thanks *tr
Tl* the contact owns a 2006 ford fusion. the contact stated that while driving approximately 25 mph, there was a sudden loss of power as the check charging system warning light illuminated. the vehicle was towed to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the pcm module, coils, spark plugs, and the intake manifold gasket needed to be replaced. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. the vehicle was not repaired. the approximate failure and current mileage was 84,000. *tr
When i was passing a car on the high way the transmission slipped out of gear. i was in the middle lane and lost all acceleration. dead in the water. i had to put my hazard lights on and pull over to the side of the road. turning the card on and off fixed the issue. since that it has done this multiple times. *tr
My ford fusion v6 sel has been slipping since 50,000 miles. i have had 2 minor transmission changes within the past 3 years. today me and my kids were driving about 20-35 mph around town when the transmission slipped. the car would not respond to accelerating on the gas pedal. i tried placing the car into low gear, reverse with nothing happening. this was on a busy intersection, the car final after forcing me and my kids to jerk forward started to work again. each time i stopped at a stop light the car took 1-2 minutes to rise above 20 mph. i finally made it to my house which has a small slant on the drive way and the car struggled just to make it in the garage. this was the most embarrassing day of my life!!!! the car clearly is out of warranty and each time i look up tsb's i see more and more 2006-11 ford fusion postings. being a ford fan my whole life i must say if nothing is done with this complaint i will no longer support ford and will encourage other not to as well. the next steps are to go to the ford dealership and do a diagnostic. i may also try a major transmission change, my fear would be to do a transmission change with zero confidence that this will fix the problem!!! ford must keep quality and safety in mind with every car they sell especially a 1st generation model. *tr
Traveling down busy local highway about 45mph in late rush hour traffic. the car suddenly began to run very rough and then engine stalled. check engine light came on. the car had to be maneuvered to the side of the road with no power on very busy highway. there were a couple close calls but no accident thankfully. the car was towed to a local dealer. the dealer indicates the power train controller module (pcm) unit failed. this seems to be very common failure on these cars and it can be dangerous. *tr
Driving on the highway at 65mph when the transmission slip out of gear and the engine started to rev up. got of to the side of the rode when there was a safe spot to let the traffic behind us go around. i had my wife and two grand children in the car not a safe position to be in. ford knows about the valve in asin transmission. can not believe they will not honor this problem, when they know about it. the problem is getting worse. please help! *tr
Driving on interstate 5 evening commute, going up a hill when the engine lost power, reaching a maximum speed of 20mph with the accelerator pedal pressed down fully. the esc light and a "wrench" light both illuminated. was able to safely exit the interstate and turned the car off. after a few minutes i restarted with the aforementioned lights remaining off. vehicle ran fine. took it to the ford dealer the next day and was told the throttle body would have to be replaced, which i rejected at the time. the vehicle ran fine until 1 day past a year from the first incident (june 26, 2014). the same thing happened twice, once at 60mph and again at 40mph. it occurred again on june 27, 2014, however this time from a stop. i began to accelerate from the stop sign and barely made it across the intersection. each occurrence i turned the engine off and restarted, the vehicle ran fine. i did a web search on the issue and found numerous other ford owners are experiencing the same thing with model years 2005, 2006 and 2007. *tr
Tl* the contact owns a 2006 ford fusion. the contact stated that while driving 45 mph, the vehicle rpms increased and the vehicle squeaked with the illumination of the transmission warning light. the vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnosis where it was stated that the pcm module needed to be replaced. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was not notified. the vin was not available. the approximate failure mileage was 37,000. *tr
I was going home on highway (65 mph) and the traffic started to slow down and so i put on my brake and lost my power. it was in limp mode. fortunately, i was in low speed lane and could get over to the side of highway and managed to pull off. after 5 minutes i was able to restart car and get home. the throttle body had to be replaced. this is a safety concern. i feel i was very lucky i did not get slammed into and someone did not get hurt. *tr
My 2006 ford fusion with a 3.0 v6 and automatic transmission has had the following same issues over the past 18 months: - loses power at city, highway and parking lot speeds without warning .... at least a half-of-dozen times - engine still idles/runs rough, but will not accelerate beyond 15-20 mph - wrench light indicator comes on, (sometimes engine light too). when i turn the engine off and restart the vehicle, it will operate fine most the times. it has done it repeatedly a couple of times. the wrench light indicator will go off after restart, but the check engine light will remain on for a couple of days then go out. - ford claims that the 2006 fusion is not covered under customer satisfaction program #13n03 which covers newer fusions and other ford models. ford advise to have the repair made and they will reimburse customers of the repair expense at a future date, if ford should ever issue a csp program for the 2006 fusion. - i have had this happen at highway speeds on interstate highways and rural highways without shoulders to pull over. this is obviously a dangerous situation and needs to be rectified asap. - i have had several incidents where i was almost hit from behind due to this issue and it's just a matter of time before someone is seriously injured due to this issue. my research shows that this is an ongoing problem for people with certain ford products. - ford.....due the right thing and make it right for all! *tr
The vehicle jerks when changing gears or entering overdrive at higher speeds, sometimes very violently, occasionally resulting in complete loss of power until car is shifted into neutral and back into gear. at low speeds vehicle has very rough gear transition when braking.
The transmission is bad in the car. the 2006 ford fusion was purchased brand new and the extended warenty expired, the transmission went bad. what makes it so bad is that the car only has a little over 46000 miles. so many people have submitted complaints and i want to know what is ford going to do to correct the problem and reimburse us at least some of the money that we had to pay for the transmission. *tr
When attempting to accelerate at a highway speed, which caused the car to downshift, the transmission would "slip" out of gear, causing the rpm's to rev up to an unsafe level. to get the car back into gear, i had to remove my foot from the accelerator and let it coast for a bit. once the rpm's returned to between 1000-2000, it slammed hard into gear and began driving again. this occurs regularly even at regular street speeds, when you need to accelerate where a downshift is necessary. this could easily lead to a crash. ford motor company knows about the problem with the transmissions in these cars, basically it is due to valve bore wear in the main control. they have a defective control body which has extreme spool bore wear. a tsb was issued: tsb bulletin date: feb 2007 various driveability/transmission symptoms - pcm/tcm calibration updates 3.0l - aisin f21 auto trans. ( nhtsa item number - 10021277 ). no recall by ford to date. if you catch it before the clutch is burnt up, you can get by with replacing the main control valve body for around $800-$1000, however if you're beyond that point it's a $4500+ new transmission. *tr
I have a 2006 fusion this problem started a year ago. first my car shakes, when driven 20mph and try to accelerate it has a hard time picking up speed it misses. so i had my spark plugs changed twice in the last year because i thought that's what was wrong. i took it to my local good year and they noticed that i've had my spark plugs changed with them twice so, the mechanic took my car apart and found that my 5th cylinder was bad and that it was burning through my coils. 2 years ago i had issues with my balls joints on my car front tires fixed it now, i am having the same problem my ball joints have clay in them how that happen i don't know. there is also a 3rd problem that i am having with my transmission. i came across this website to see if there were any recalls for my vehicle, of course it would be my luck nothing!!! i work for toyota and they recall their vehicles all the time for any issue they have with their vehicles. i will never buy a ford again!!! *js
