Problems with 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid SUSPENSION

Many ford fusions have a recall on the steering rack. 2010 does not. mine is in shop for repair. also, the transfer case went out. costly repairs. i am not able to drive due to the steering. already fixed the transfer case and sway bar.

The drivers side front coil spring snapped. fortunately this happened while the car was parked. there is a safety recall for this defect but my vehicle is not covered under that recall. ford needs to step up and expand the recall.

2010 ford fusion hybrid. consumer writes in regards to part of the inside door handle snapped off. *smd the consumer stated he had to exit the vehicle, without the use of the indoor handle. the door handle was made of cheap, weak, poorly designed material. also, at 39,155 miles, one of the front wheel bearings had to replaced. *jb

Tl* the contact owns a 2010 ford fusion hybrid. while driving at any speed, the vehicle made unusual noises. the noises increased at approximately 45 mph without warning. the vehicle was taken to east tennessee ford (crossville, tn, 931-240-4121) where it was diagnosed that the front passenger wheel bearing was faulty and about to fall out. the technician replaced the wheel bearing assembly. approximately two years later, the front driver's wheel bearing also failed. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the wheel bearing assembly was replaced. the manufacturer was made aware of the failures and stated that there was no recall. the contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 16v384000 (air bags); however, the part to do the repair was unavailable. the failure mileage was approximately 45,000.

Rear tires have experienced uneven wear patterns indicative of severe toe-in condition through 3 sets of tires. condition is evident only on rear tires, both left and right. *tr

Left front axel broke for no reason at all. did not hit anything. always kept the car maintained since i bought it new in 2010 and had no major problems until yesterday. axel broke as i drove slowly on a residential street. ford repair is baffled why it broke. could have killed us and somebody else if i had car loaded up with people and on a freeway at 70 mph. the steering lost control after axel broke. *tr
