Recently reported SERVICE BRAKES problems on 2014 Ford Focus

My seatbelt hardly ever buckles. i've had to jam it a few times in order for it to finally click. my stairwell has never been aligned with my tires, and my brakes were always janky

Tl* the contact owned a 2014 ford focus. while exiting the highway approaching an exit ramp, the vehicle stalled. the instrument panel cluster went completely blank and there was a sudden loss of power. the brakes were difficult to apply and the contact crossed over four lanes of traffic and struck a median. none of the air bags deployed. the vehicle was not inspected and diagnosed by a dealer. the vehicle was towed to a yard and deemed destroyed due to the failures. a police report was not filed. the driver sustained minor bruising that did not require medical attention. the manufacturer was notified of the crash after it happened. the vin and failure mileage were not available.

Placed car in park exited car at which time the car began to move in the reverse catching my leg in the door upon my exit car started to move at which time i was dragged under the car. my left leg & knee stopped the car from continuing to move which trapped me partway under the car. with wheel well resting on my lower body. earlier in the trip i had difficulty moving the gear shift into park as it seemed to get stuck and make it difficult to transition into park. this caused a painful and difficult accident. has this type of accident been reported before. have reports of this type of situation occurred or been reported as a problem?.this needs to be fully looked into so that no one else suffers the pain that i have endured.

I started my vehicle after i dropped my 3 month old off at daycare, it was parked and my dashboard was flashing "transmission fault- service now". i pulled out of my space and parked the car to restart , to see if maybe the computer just needed to be restarted. at this point the dashboard computer was going black and then trying to turn on and going blue. the speedometer stopped working, i lost all power steering. i drove it home and parked it.

Takata recall

When i first purchased the car i had issues from the start. i would press on the gas and the car would hesitate to go forward and then jerk. it felt like i was driving a manual car but i had an automatic. i found out that there was a recall on the car for this specific reason. i took the car to my local ford dealer in clarksville in and had to wait over 3 weeks for the part to come in. i was not offered a loaner car or anything. once i got the part it was ok for like literally maybe 1 or 2 months and the issues arose again. i took the car back and was told it was the last time i would be able to get the issue fixed for free. this all happened in 2016. it is now 2019 and i am still having the same issues. also the passenger side seatbelt works intermittently. and the car doors do not always latch tightly when you shut the door. i have been told several times that there is nothing that can be done. now i am stuck still making payments on a car that i do not feel safe driving. i did have a wreck in the car back in 2016 where i was pushing on the gas and it jerked really hard and then went forward violently and i hit a pole. the damage is still on my car which includes a busted front bumper and the car horn is not working.

Tl* the contact owns a 2014 ford focus. while driving 35 mph down an incline, the brake pedal was depressed and the vehicle shook and took a longer distance to stop. in addition, the accelerator pedal was depressed and the vehicle vibrated and accelerated in excess. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the failure mileage was 44,002.

While at a full stop on an incline, my brake pedal went back to a neutral position when i took my foot off, but the car stayed fully stopped. also, when i go to press the pedal again, it is locked up. it is not locked in any kids of pressed position or falling to the floor, but in a fully unbraked, neutral position. this stayed locked for about 10 seconds before i can finally press it again and resume normal driving. this is the second occurrence of this very same incident.

I backed out of a parking spot. when i put the car in drive, the car accelerated with out me pushing the gas pedal, i attempted to stop by applying the brake and struck another car. the brakes could not stop my car. *tr

Traveling straight on the toll road at 70mph (speed limit) with the cruise control on the back end of the vehicle started fish tailing and went out of control into a guardrail which total the vehicle. the vehicle was just purchased a month prior. i will submit photos and documents on request.

I do not know if it's brakes. my car does the grinding sounds too how is this normal on a new car really!!!! i just pulled out of driveway never realized it was that now with no radio on i hear it. this is ridiculous i seriously just left the shop for my stuttering slipping gear issue. *tr

I have noticed while driving my vehicle that it stutter and makes a loud grinding sound when i am going up inclines and when i am braking. i noticed my car is will be jerking and feels like the transmission is bout to give away when i am in traffic. i took my car back to the dealership because it was still under warranty and explained to them the issues that are going on with my car. they proceeded to tell me that my issues was normal for my car. i asked how could this be normal that a brand new car stutter, grinds, shift gears on it own, jerks when applying brakes or acceleration, and feels like transmission is slipping. i spoke with the mechanic that looked at my car and he said that my model car is like it has a manual engine in and automatic car. he stated that this was normal as far as the manufactures states but actually this is not normal. cars should not be shifting gear automatically. this issues that my car is having are very hazardous, especially in stop in go traffic and on inclines, just driving period , in the end i feel something needs to be done about this with this making model car especially being that this is a newer model car (2014). *tr

This vehicle hesitates upon acceleration, lowers rpms, jerks making a clicking noise and revs up the rpms once it accelerates it has hesitation and is notifiable that the transmission is changing gears there is a lag as if it was a manual and the operator could not change gears appropriately. the vehicle also tends to roll in a reverse motion as if in reverse upon inclination. upon engaging the brakes there is a popping noise. the vehicle also sounds as though it has the key in and isn't turned over completely to start at times vehicle it turned off, in park, without key in the ignition, and remained this way for any period of time. this 2014 ford focus was manufactured 6-17-2014 in the michigan assembly plant. *tr

I bought my car new back in feburary 2014. it does all kinds of things!! it does not shift right. it jerks, slips, revs high. if you need to accelerate it doesn't ever gear down correctly, either too much or not enough. it has completely stalled at intersections and would not move. it would not even rev up. i had to have it towed. it has accelerated into traffic at a red light, twice!! and each time did not have brakes. my children were in the car and it was a near miss. my children could have been killed!! i have had it at my ford dealership 5 times!!! yes 5 times!!! each time it runs fine and does not do anything wrong while they are checking it out. the manager of the service dept states it is like a smartphone and once you cut it off it resets so this is probably why they can't find anything wrong with it by the time they get to it. i do not feel safe driving this car. but it is my only car. i don't know what to do. my dealership state they cannot do anything. help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *tr
