Tl* the contact owns a 2010 ford focus. the contact stated that coolant was emitted through the air conditioning duct and leaked inside the vehicle. the failure caused electrical problems in the vehicle. a representative was sent by the manufacturer to install a coolant fan motor on the vehicle. the contact stated that after the installation, the failure persisted. the manufacturer was notified who offered no further assistance. the failure mileage was 28,000. ..updated 09-26-12 *bf the consumer stated when coolant came out of the airducts it got on the consumer's face. when the consumer applied the brakes the vehicle went in reverse. the brakes were applied again, the consumer hit the steering wheel and the seat belt unbuckled. the coolant that came out of the airducts also reached the interior floor and behind the console. other issues with vehicle are the tires that have always looked worn, when the brakes were applied the vehicle would accelerate, rpms would increase and engine revs, toxic and burning wire odors, excessive heat from the engine, metal grinding sounds from under the hood, vibrating and rough riding, the trunk opens on its own, compressing sound while air condition is running, windows were icing on the exterior of driver and passenger windows, and rust on the ignition. updated 10/01/2012 *js
2011 ford focus @ 1281 miles on 3/4/2011- windshield wiper blades not clearing windshield and lift off glass. wiper blades then broke off of wiper arm due to defective plastic clip attachment. drivers side blade partially detached while driving at highway speeds in heavy rain and became trapped under passenger blade disabling it. passenger blade had to be replaced due to cracking of plastic clip 1 week later @ 1587 miles. both blades were replaced at a ford dealership with non-defective parts at no cost to owner. *tr
Tl*the contact owns a 2010 ford focus. while driving approximately 65 mph with the sun roof closed and the glass shattered. nothing hit the sun roof nor was she driving underneath an overpass. she immediately drove the vehicle to the dealer. the dealer advised her that the sunroof glass needed to be replaced and the vehicle was repaired. the dealer and the manufacturer did not assume any responsibility for the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 15,500. updated 5/9/11 *cn updated 05/16/11
Driving on highway 65 mph than i heard a loud boom and glass was all over me . the sun roof had shattered . pulled over very scared that i may have been cut. sunroof was vented open when this happened . dealership refuses to replace at their cost . had to report to insurance company. on my way to independent glass company at my expense ! 2010 ford focus 8700 miles. *tr
Tl* the contact owns a 2010 ford focus. the contact stated both passenger and drivers rear power doors were defective. she was only able to exit the vehicle from the rear, if the vehicle was in park and the front driver side door was opened. the dealer advised her that the vehicle was operating as designed and to replace the locking mechanism if she did not feel safe. the manufacturer was not notified nor was the vehicle repaired. the current mileage was 23,135. the approximate failure mileage was 10,000. updated 9/27/11 *cn the sunroof leaked water and the tires caused a sever vibration. the tire issue has sine been resolved.
