We have classified the 3 complaints from 2000 Ford Focus about VISIBILITY into the following categories.
Tl* the contact owns a 2000 ford focus. the contact stated that the rear windows could not be closed. the vehicle was taken to a local mechanic and the failure was located at the window actuator. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure and denied assistance with the repair. the vehicle was not repaired. the approximate failure mileage was 128,600 and the current mileage was 128,900.
Ford focus electric window motor replacement because of plastic parts. must replace the motor to get the plastic window parts. this has happen to 3 out of four windows and the price to replace is $200 - $300 each window. this is a common problem with all focus owners all over the nation. *tr
Tl* the contact owns a 2000 ford focus. the contact stated that the vehicle would intermittently stall when attempting a turn at any speed, in either direction. the failure would occur most often when attempting left turns. once the contact was able to restart the vehicle it would operate as normal. the vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where he was informed that the crank shaft was shifting back and forth, causing the crank shaft position sensor to fail. the vehicle was not repaired. in addition, the power windows were inoperable except for the front driver window. the failure mileage was 93,000 and the current mileage was 117,000.
After two days of rain my passenger side of my 2000 ford focus filled up with water. then when i went to turn on the air conditioning water came pouring out of the floor vents. i always hesitate to take it into a dealership so i used the internet to search for similar complaints. after looking around i found around 25 complaints just on one website http://www.carsurvey.org/viewmorecomments_review_8122_2.html . on this site many people referred to the pollen filter where there was not a tight seal or some type of defective part that would cause water to enter into the vent system of the car then fill the passenger side of the interior. this sounds like a huge problem and i would appreciate it if you would look into it. *tr
Driving along, rolled down driver side rear window for fresh air, window fell out of track, approx 1 month later same thing happened to passenger rear window same thing. *tr
I have a 2000 ford focus as does my ex both having the same year make and model of the ford focus! the problem in which we both have encountered is that 3 out of the 4 windows in our cars no longer work the windows at first would make a popping sound on some others just broke suddenly. now when i say broke the motors to all the windows still work but the plastic clip that holds the window on the tracks. i recently took my car to have safety and admissions done and was not able to pass safety do to the fact that my drivers side window does not role down. what i have been forced to do is all three of the windows not working are either held up by tape or a door stop from the inside. do to my windows having to be held in the manner they are i am constantly worried about my car being an easy target for a break in thus i don't have the comfort level i feel i should with my own vehicle. i haven't been able to fix the windows yet due to the high cost of nearly $200 per window. as i see it this would have to be a factory default seeing if it had only happened to one window maybe a fluke but three of my four also three of the four on my ex's vehicle too!!! *tr
On 10/23/07 i inserted key into ignition of my ford focus and immediatley the lights and gauges went haywire-vehicle failed to start. to make a long story short ,after unpluging the battery cables and going back to the stranded car the next evening, it started . 2 days later my wipers came on by themselves and would not stop until i turned the car off and restarted. on 10/31/07 while driving my daughter home, the vehicle began accelerating and deccelertaing uncontrollably. i pulled of the highway and when i opened the drivers door, the seatbelt light began blinking and making a loud ticking noise. this had happened the night prior, but i thought maybe the button was depressed. my dome lights make a screeching noise and blink on and off. this is a serious problem that needs to be looked into. whenever something like this happens i am driving home late at night and of course the dealer is not open to help me . my car is almost paid off and i will not invest more than what it is worth, which is only about $2,500.too bad i have paid about $18,000 for it. i would also like to know why i have not received recalls for the following problems: 1. 1st month after purchase, electrical system running airbags, mirrors, doors etc. failed. 2. 37,000 miles- transmission failed 3. 42,000 miles- power door locks failed and soon after passenger doors stuck in the lock position. 4. all window tracks have failed. 5. wheel bearings replaced. 6. trunk latch failed 7. ignition failed and was replaced and is going again. 8. brought in for 1 recall (fuel filter) and still didn't correct problem with vibration and lurching. this is a vehicle that exceeds highway saftey ratings? something will be done about this if i must hire an attorney- i am out a lot of money and no vehicle. *tr
There have been several problems regarding 2000 ford focus concerning gas mileage deterioration. all cars lost some form of mpg estimates over years of use, but the focus had terrible deterioration. . i have spoken to many owners of 2000 ford focus' that have experienced the same problem. estimated mpg had been from 15 to 22, with mine fluctuated from 10 to 20. no mechanical problems could be found through normal means. there was no explanation regarding the loss of good gas mileage, with the exception of a problem with the programming of the brain box. also, this car suddenly developed cracks in the windshield - they weren't cracks that were formed from the outside surface or the inside surface. they actually formed in the glass, between the layers. they cannot be felt on the outside or the inside of the glass.*ak
Dt*: the contact stated while attempting to engage the power window control, the front driver side power window failed to open without warning. after initial inspection by the contact, the left rear passenger side power window failed to operate as well. the vehicle was inspected by a dealer, who determined the power windows were worn, and failed due to normal wear and tear. the manufacturer was not alerted.
Dt*: the contact stated all four power doors failed to lock from the inside and/or outside intermittently. also, the rear passenger and driver's side windows would not roll down. the driver and passenger's side front windows rolled up/down intermittently. sometimes the horn failed to sound. the manufacturer determined the problem was because of excessive dirt and dust around the contact's residence. the drivers door would not open. updted 09/22/06. *jb
My husband went to the store with daughter on a rainy day. the passenger side window came crashing down. in trying to fix the problem. we found that the 2 brackets that hold the window up has 2 plastic arms which had broken. i have contacted ford about the issue and has said that at this point there is no recall. so they are going to do anything about it. i believe that a broken window in the snow belt is a safety issue. so i'm bringing this issue to you. thank you r.battles. *nm
I own a 2000 ford focus and among all the recalled parts i've fixed the car continues to have problems. the car jumps either when i press the gas or if the car is in idle. i've brought it to a mechanic and they thought it had to do with the oil leaking in my spark plugs which they fixed and gave me a tune up with all ford parts. of course now they suggest bringing it to the dealer and have ford run tests. i've probably have gotten something fixed on my car every 6 months for the past 3 years. also i've had to replace 3 windows due to the device that pulls it up and down broke. and now my key won't start the car. i can't start my ignition because of the key lock/pin is defective. what more do i have to go through for ford to recall or fix this car, get in an accident and get hurt myself. *nm
12/03 -- rear driver side window regulator broke on a 2000 ford focus; window not used much 9/7/05 -- rear passenger side window regulator failed on same car as rolling down to clear morning condensation off and on since i've had the car, the driver side window and rear driver's side window have not worked due to a so called "short" the 2 regulators were replaced; the short has never been found or repaired and is a nuisance. *jb
The front passenger's window began to work off and on and then failed completly. the window will not do anything now. i have not replaced anything yet due to financal difficultlies.*ak
I have had this car since 2003 and it has been nothing but trouble. i have had it into the shop for many of the previously stated repairs- ignition lock, revving/ gas line sticking, broken windshield with no outside cause, cracked side mirrors from cold, etc. this week my rear window fell into the door and would not roll up. the estimate is close to $400. i have had other problems, so many i can't recall them all now. i would advise others to avoid ford products in the future- i certainly will. *jb
This complaint is concerning clarification of our previous complaints to nhtsa regarding the 2000 ford focus : #10104088 and #10107840. i am extremely concerned about the misinterpretation of data collected by your agency and posted for public review. deaths are not posted, nor are they included as injuries. this misrepresents the seriousness of the vehicle and equipment failures reported. *jb
Fatality vehicle fire, dec. 8 2004. my husband is the original owner of a 2000 ford focus, subject to numerous service visits to bill brown ford, livonia mi for: ignition, steering column, wheel bearing, brake, rear window control, seat belt &trunk latches, overhead light and engine light. the vacuum line & fuel pump & valve assembly were replaced 2/03, followed by stalling. in 6/03, a/c compressor & manifold line replaced. fuel line & pump failure in 8/03, resulted in gasoline spill on residential street minutes after parking. bogging followed repairs, pcm reprogrammed & leaking pvc tube replaced 1/04. fuel pump again replaced. in 8/04, our 24 year old son took ownership of this problematic car. we are uncertain as to whether vehicle malfunction caused a 35 mph collision with a fire hydrant. an immediate engine explosion and fuel fed fire trapped my son and his passenger. described by police as a relatively minor crash which would not be expected to claim lives, the subsequent unexplained engine fire claimed two young lives. a malfunctioning driver's airbag was also detected. this incident was originally reported to nhtsa by my husband (#10104088). i am supplying these additional facts for your clarification. please correct your posting of "0" injuries as there were 2 fatalities. please take effective action to save lives, as these trouble plagued vehicles seem to become more lethal as they age. confirmation of receipt of this information is requested. *nm *sc *jb
While turning the corner at 15 mph passenger's side mirror slightly hit a parked vehicle mirror. as a result, driver's side air bag deployed inadvertently. driver sustained a minor burn on the right arm. *ak
I had been having some slight problem getting my key to turn thought nothing of it until today (6/7/2004) went to store and got out went in came back out and low and behold my ignition would not accept my key. finally got key in the ignition and could not get it to move. it is frozen up completely. this is terrible how can there be so many complaints on this problem and nothing be done about it.ford has to know that they have a defective part on these cars...... is there not anything a person can do abouit this kind of thing? is there a certain number of recalls before there is something done ...if there is any thing a person can do to get ford to correct this "defect" and it is a defect i am certain after reviewing your complaint site it is amazing how many people have went through this same thing alot more than one time, some people said they had to fix theirs more than one but three and four times .. please help ! *ak
On both rear windows (electric), the plastic part at the bottom of the window has broken, making the window inoperable. the part secures the cables for raising and lowering the windows. in both cases, they broke simply from closing the door.*ak
The front window developed a leak right in the top center. water was running out of the dome light area. i have no fixed it properly yet but it is a concern that it will short out the dome light and cause a fire.*ak
2000 ford focus...purchased new in may 2000.....presently has 30,350 miles on it. i have had three of the four automatic windows break within the past ten months. the first on broke in june, possibly july 2003 (back left window), the next one to break was the back right window, and today , april 30, the front driver's side window is broken. motor starts to grind and then stops responding to the on/off button and will not move the window...which then slips all the way down into the door panel. since my car is now out of warranty the dealership doesn't seem to think that having three different windows malfunction odd. i do not have young children that roll the windows up and down an unuseual number of times...in fact, i seldom roll down the back windows and only use the driver's window when going to the bank, or such things. i find it hard to believe with all of the recalls and other problems that this vehicle has had that this is not yet another one. *la
Dt: the contact stated the ignition switch failed three times within a year and a half. the first time, she went to start the car, the ignition would not turn over. the car was towed and repaired. the second failure was approximately one year later and the same thing happened. the car was towed and repaired for the second time. the third failure happened this week, went to start the car and it would not start again. it is being repaired now. the dealership stated it could possibly be the starter along with the ignition switch. *ak in dec 2001 the consumer was involved in an accident due to a problem with the tires and the rear axle. the transmission cooler lines were replaced. the brake lights and heater did not work. the egr tube was replaced. the wiper arm was broken. the engine light stayed on all time. the driver side mirror had to be replaced. updated 01/11/06. *jb
While consumer was adjusting the interior rearview mirror it broke complete off. dealership replaced the entire unit because the mirror cannot not be reattached.*ak
Water leak in my 2000 ford focus. upon reading this website i realize the other problems i've had are similar to this car. car stalling, fuel gauge sticking, radio going out, carpet being replaced, wiper problems etc. when it rains the water can fill the passenger floorboard 2-3 inches. i've had the leak checked at several different places and so far no one can find the leak. according to this website the dealer can't find the problem either. my car is not under warranty any more, and i was informed if the leaking continues it will damage the "brain" computer or electrical system. if that happens and i have to spend a couple thousand to fix, but if the leaking is not found it will just happen again. i feel this car is unsafe and should have a recall. also, i have not received notice of all the recalls that pertains to this car. i have received only one pertaining to the back real wheel bearing, which was replaced at dealer. but i see that there have been others. why was i not notified? *la
Hi, i own a 2000 ford focus and it has been nothing but trouble. i purchased the car brand new in 2000 and have had it in the shop so many times. i have had my rear passenger side window mechanism replaced by ford, then personally replaced the driver front window mechanism and the driver back mechanism due to cable breaks. i have had it in with the radio 3 times and it still does not work correctly. i have had to have the brakes replaced, the ignition block replaced, the struts and shocks. the trunk release has never worked. now it keeps breaking down on me if i drive for more than 1 hour non stop. this weekend i went to san antonio from corpus, it died on the highway 3 times going to sa and coming home 4 times & how safe is that! ford said they cannot do anything for me unless it is messing up when i bring it in while it is acting up, however it always happens when i am away from town. they told me that if they hook it up to the machine it will not tell them anything. also, on several occasions my accelerator has stuck and i cannot brake, i have to put the car in neutral and press on the brake hard while the rpm's are still revving and pull the emergency brake, the first time this happened i was pulling into a parking spot and went over the yellow divider. is there anything i can do? *la
There was no power in the locks or the trunk release.after alot of diagnosses they replaced the right rear door actuator.
I purchased my 2000 ford focus se from merlin motors in saskatoon. production date - may 2/2000, stock no. pp24941, r.o. no. 155631. i believe this car was previously owned by someone in british columbia. here is a chronological breakdown of repairs. april 17/01 - took car in because driver mirror vibrated badly when driving - so badly that i could not look into it, it was shaking that much. also, the trunk would not open from the release inside the car. parts were ordered at this time. vehicle kilometers- 32854. june 19/01 - they checked for driver mirror vibrating when driving and replaced driver side exterior mirror. the also checked for trunk not opening from the release inside the car, they replaced the trunk stop and adjusted. vehicle kilometers- 35222 june 20/01 - they checked for power steering leak and replaced steering rack and set toe. vehicle kilometers- 37782?? (this is obviously an error - i know i did not drive 2, 560 km in one day!) i also did not complain about the power steering and don't recall why my car was in there at the time. sept 21/01 - they repaired rattle in right front going over bumps, tightened all assemble bolts in front end, removed right caliper and rotor, lubed all bushing, adjusted front splash shields, found tie rod bolt loose and tightened. they also fixed molding on window belt, which was loose and checked inside rear view mirror and found it flawed - part on order. vehicle kilometers- 43170. nov 3/01 - we were driving in saskatoon when engine started to boil. we knew this because of steam coming from the hood, all gauges in the car read normal! we took car to merlin - they could find nothing wrong with the car after their checks, and told us to bring it back if it happened again! work order for this date states: customer saw steam coming from under hood, antifreeze pooled on engine, gauge read normal, steam coming from overflow tank - fill with a/freeze, pressure test for leaks, no leaks found.
Power windows on 2000 ford focus fail often. i have heard of this problem on many other foci via the internet; but i have personally had 3 power windows fail (which is a safety concern, as windows fall down violent when they fail and remain down, cannot be rolled up and will not stay up if moved by hand leaving vehicle exposed to theft and the elements) in less than 3 years... two of which have failed out of warranty. (warranty is up in one month time frame; but have driven vehicle 45,000 miles.) consumers are seriously getting bitten by the cost of replacing ford's faulty designed power window assemblies. date of most recent incident given. *jb
A crack appeared at the top middle of the front windshield and was moving towards the bottom of the windshield . this caused a distraction to the driver's view. *ak
I have had problems with my wife's ford focous windows the windows fall off track or just fall down and will not roll up for no reason. out of 4 windows right now the drivers side is down into the door will not roll up and the passenger rear is also the same. the drivers rear window we are afraid to touch it because we have had to catch it from falling and now we have been using tape. that is 3 windows out of 4 giving us problems. we do not want to try the passenger side door window. we are having a though time and it seems abnormal for the windows to give us problems
Started experiencing problems with the vehicle after purchase. suddenly in august, all power systems/computer type items began to fail -- power locks, trunk release. then, car began (and still does) to sputter and shake when stopped/idle until it would shutdown. also, the radio/cd player would shut off. checked for tsbs for the vehicle model & year and found at least 15. when i took the car to the dealer (world ford sandy springs) we were told that they are technical service bulletins and that we would have to pay to have the car repaired. only official ford recall notices, not even ntsa recall notices, would be honored. on top of this, we would be expected to pay $90 per complaint batch (the tsb list was batched in to 3 main areas)for diagnostic purposes and if any of the complaints were related to a recall, the $90 would be refunded as applicable. i expressed that if ford issued a tsb and the ntsa issued a recall notice, then i should not have to pay to have the car worked on.
Driver's side power window would stick in the up or down position, causing a distraction to the consumer. dealer had been notified.*ak
The key could not be inserted into the ignition. the dealer stated the ignition switch needed to be replaced. the switch was not covered under the extended warranty. in addition to not being able to start the vehicle, the power windows could not be rolled down. *ak *nlm *jb
3 of 4 window regulators are broken in my 2000 ford focus - 2 rear windows and drivers window no longer go up and down. the windows fall into the door. first failure occured 8/02, second 6/03, third 8/03. windows are currently taped up, which is a safety hazard as the tape obscures my vision.*ak
While coming home from a house warming in tucson, az on 06/21/03 me, my 2 nieces, and my daughter were on the fast lane of the freeway coming out of tucson when the engine started losing power, the car started slowing down to about 25 mph we had to cross 3 lanes to get off the freeway with other cars coming at 65 to 70 mph we almost got hit on the last lane before exiting the freeway. the car then sputtered the rest of the way off the freeway. after sitting for a while we were able to start it again. and continue home but we used frontage rd all the way. i am afraid to take it on the freeway anymore. sometimes it does want to start at all. the door on passanger side also doesn't unlock with power button. service engine light comes on with battery light and oil light. i feel someone will eventually be seriouly injured unless they find out what is wrong here.
The complaint deals with the right side door lock.i took it into mccotter ford where i bought the car from.they wanted to charge me over $300 to fix it and this is with the expensive warranty package. we could not aford this,so my wife and kids are driving around in a car that the passenger side door that cannot be opened. this cannot be safe, what can we do.the car had between 50 and 60 thousand miles on it,the dealership that we bought the car from is in titusville florida. this occured in 2002
Consumer concerned about the amount of recalls on vehicle. *mr the consumer had to replace the cable shifter when the vehicle was only 2 years old. the alternator had to be replaced, the door lock actuators, tires, sun roof control. *jb
Since at least april 2003 the back right passagner side window will not rise or lower nor will the lock on the door lock from that seating position. the driver only can do it. while in nm driving from ky to az, my 2000 se began to lose engine power. as i drove at 70 mph the engine began to stall, as if no gas was getting through the engine and the car began to die. i was able to safely pull to the side of the road; turned the car off for upwards of 2 hours, start the car again and drive. this happened 5 times from nm to az; over and over again. i called the 1800 ford roadside assistance number and was told since my car was out of warranty they would not send a tow for me. a commercial trucker was nice enough to follow me to the next town to a ford dealer. the service advisor at the dealership offered to look at my car the next day around noon, as he had 6 other focus owners in his shop with the same complaint and he had no idea what the problem is. i decided to press on to az while driving under 55 mph on i-10. the car sat in my garage for 3 weeks before i drove it again. it is still doing it's drive and die and i am concerned now more than ever with the number of recalls on this vehicle what the deal is.
Consumer received poor service from ford motor company, as well as from following local ford dealers morande ford of berlin, ct and ray seraphin ford of vernon ct, and different opinions from ford employees concerning multiple recalls on a-frame/stereo/windshield wiper motor/rear wheel bearings, electrical system, and sudden acceleration/lurching. *ak
While driving the driver side window fell down. the dealer was notified. *nlm
After about 10 days of buying my 2000 ford focus the problem. started and one year later the problems are still coming like clock work. first my breaks were squealing i called the dealer, he said not to worry about it until i had time to come in. 1 to 2 months later, after several calls asking if it was still okay to drive, i took my car in and the routers and breaks were bad, they sd i should have brought my car in sooner. well per there request i took my time. i had to pay the get this taken care of. it didn't stop there, my tires kept getting flats so i has to once again replace at my own expenses. now the real problems start, my cruise control was just out of control, my car would accelerate every time i would put in on cruise. the windshield wipers would not work and my radio kept turning off by itself. i had once again at my own expenses replace my windshield wipers calling the maintenance. dept. at meridian ford. they fixed the problem. with the cruise control and it was working fine for about 2 months it is now happening again! now i have problems with the key getting stuck and will not turn, the trunk will not shut, and my car will shut off when the car is in idle. it turns off if in park or drive after about one min. idle. this is very frustrating. and has caused so many financial and stress problems. i don't feel safe in this car and i feel cheated! i was sold a lemon! a list of what was wrong with my new car..bad breaks, bad routers, bad windshield wipers, bad cruise control, bad trunk, bad tires, the key gets stuck and will not turn, and now it turns off while in idle. all these things are still wrong with it and its costing me money, stress, time and it is costing me to be late on my car payments and other bills because i have to pay for all this crap to be fixed! why is this happening! do i need to get a lawyer or do you need to replace or fix my car at your expensive. i have lost so much and feel helpless. i hope this does not fall on ...
My focus (manufactured october 1999) has had several problems with rusting paint. the first, reported in july was covered under the 36k bumper-2-bumper warranty. the latest (reported january '03), will not be. my zts sedan is rusting on the rear two doors on the inside about 1 1/2 inches up from the bottom of the door (where the metal is crimped). with less than 3-4lbs of force, i can take off portions of metal. this is not good business or engineering! in two years, i will have a hole in my door and i will be sending ford the repair bill and it will be paid for by ford.
In january of this year, my power locks stoped working so i brought my car to the ford shop where they replaced the latch assembly, handle, cable, and fuse in the back driver side door. $350 all together. the locks worked fine for about 2 months when they suddenly went out again. at that time i couldn't open the back door at all. not even manually. i lived with it for a while but then the front passenger side door did the same thing so with only two doors opening, i brought it back to the ford shop. they fixed the back door again for free since the previous work was still under warranty. the front door however needed the same as the back and the trunk button also needed to be replaced. the quote was for $475. i couldn't afford that at the time and decided to wait a little longer. in the meantime, the window on the same back door suddenly fell into the door and had to be held up with some folded paper until i could bring it in. the quote for the front door as well as the window was over $700.00! they said the regulator broke so the window wouldn't stay up. apparently that is in some other part of the door because they said it was nothing they did even though they had taken that door apart 2 previous times. needless to say, i got the front door fixed and the window is still being held up with paper! i have had nothing but problems with my focus and am anxious to trade it in. i am worried however, that something else will happen before i get the chance! the dealership even offered to let me trade in the car without fixing it- not for the payoff amount- if i got another ford. at this point i am hessitant about purchasing another car from ford. if anyone else is having similar problems with their ford focus, i encourage them to write a complaint.
When driving the car it goes into neutral then back into gear when backing up the car it grinds the non-drivers side floods everytime it rains windshield wipers were no good both back doors make loud noises when opening and closing there are dents on the non-drivers side below the doors engine light goes on once in a while when driving car sometimes jumps into gear.. (scary) and others i asked the car dealer before buying the car if this car had been in any accidents.. he said.. michele, we do not sell cars that have been in accident. after some of these problem had occured i checked the vin# and it said that this car had atleast 12 problems before i bought it
Current malfunction is hesitation and engine stall and brake failure. my car is almost 2 years old and within that time period i have experienced the following malfunctions: windshield wiper, air condition, electric window, brakes, struts, rusted rotor, ignition switch, electrical shorts(flashing dash), engine hesitation/stall, blown fuses where car would not start.
My 2000 ford focus has had problems starting 2 months after i purchased it. it's been in 6 times for excessive brake noise and or squealing. the door hinges were squeeking and had to be replaced due to misalignment..it took 5 times to determine this. weather strip molding has been replaced due to falling apart around the headlights. the cd player/stereo was replaced with a new factory model when cd player would not work properly. the "new" model was replaced yet again due to coding seen and no numbers in the window digital area. the fuel pump was replaced after stalling more than 50 miles from home...still does not run up to performance. fuel area reworked again. would not start due to battery cable. ford needs to discontinue this model until they can fix the problems it has with it. they also need to get all focus models off the road, they are safety hazzards.
This is a copy of the letter i sent to ford prestige ford garland tx attn: [xxx] dear [xxx] re: ford focus 2000 vehicle id# [xxx] i became a customer of prestige ford 5 years ago when i first bought my 98 escort. i was pleased with the car, never had any problems within the 2 years i had it only the scheduled maintenance. feb 28th 2000 i made the stupidest decision in my life to trade it for a brand new focus 2000 -i was impressed of the reviews of being the european car of the year in 1999. well during this 3 years i had nothing but trouble and i just received another safety recall. i don't even remember how many times i've taken my car back to ford for safety recalls during the last 3 years. in 3 years i had to replace brakes 3 times (that's actually once a year) replace rotors twice something got messed up last august with the electrical system and the starter i had to have that fixed. there's always noise with the brakes, i asked several times and all your staff or the one on 75 can tell me is a "known problem" first it was "metal brakes" no problem that's normal after a couple of years you changed it to a "known problem"??? i just wanted to let you know my disappointment about this stupid car, i sure did made a big mistake when i decided to buy it. also i bought extended warranty and that really seems not to be a big benefit since it hasn't helped a bit, i still had to pay for all this repairs. as far as i know this are the known problems with the car, so tell me am i supposed to be a happy camper?? i'm a single mother, i make my payments on time, i don't have the time and the money to keep spending in a car that will be paid off in a couple of years and then i will be left with a big peace of junk. please let me know when i can take my car to get fixed again. very unhappy customer [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), ...
The main concern i have is that i have had this car in 4 times now for rear wheel bearings. my other issue is that when the actuator in the rear drivers door went out that all the locks and windows freeze up in the locked position it that is where they were at when it dies. not the key, manually or remote will wor. this to me is a saftey issue, you could potentially be locked into your vehicle with no way out.
Engine starts to stalls when comming to a stop. they claim it needs a new cylinder head.
