Tl* the contact owns a 2015 ford fiesta. the contact stated that there was a shudder in the transmission. the contact received a field service action and had the vehicle repaired at allan vigil ford (6790 mt zion blvd, morrow, ga 30260). the contact stated that after the repair, the transmission warning light illuminated and returned the vehicle to the dealer. the contact was provided an estimate of $2,800 to have the vehicle repaired. the manufacturer was notified and a case was filed with the manufacturer. the vehicle was not repaired. the failure mileage was 197,000.

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 ford fiesta. while operating the vehicle and depressing the clutch pedal, the engine would sometimes suddenly shut off. the failure also occurred while the engine was idling. the cause of the failure was not determined. the manufacturer was notified. the local dealer was not notified of the failure. the failure mileage was 110,000.

As i was reverse parking in a parking lot my transmission just stalled and i was unable to go reverse, i heard the revving but she was not moving. i turned my car off and restarted it she was revving but didn't move. i shut her off her five minutes after that and restarted her and i was able to park her. after this happened, leaving the parking lot the car started to jerk forward and having a hard time transitioning into the next gear (it's automatic) it stalled as i was slightly applying pressure to accelerate in traffic it was very scary. my car has 54,000 miles.

My car is having electrical issues, the transmission will over rev but my speed remains the same or decreases. the car will lose power over time and the pedal will become spongy. this has become a very large inconvenience and an extreme safety hazard to myself and my passenger. i was almost in a collision with another vehicle which would be deemed my fault even though it would me the vehicle malfunctioning. when contacting ford dearborn and perry ford they tell me there's nothing they can do or i can pay a fee.

My transmission is slipping. when trying to accelerate, engine will rev, rpm increase, but speed won't change. this is caused safety issues for myself and my passengers as it is difficult to increase speed and keep up with on going traffic. my car is unsafe to drive.

My transmission is slipping. i will push down the acceleration and hear my engine rev, however, my car will not accelerate. this has caused safety issues for myself and other drivers on the road. my car is unsafe to drive.

Manual transmission slipping on first gear. i almost have a collision due to the problem, i was ready to turn on a busy intersection when the slipping happen and just because the other vehicle stop, i didn't have the collision head on. so i decided to take it to the ford dealer for repairs, when after diagnostics i was told by the service advisor that they need to do an overhaul on the manual transmission after my vehicle is driving for less than 9500 miles.

Transmission slips out of gear during normal city driving. i have had the car completely lock up, become unable to drive, and needed to be towed to the dealership. this is the 3rd time i have encountered this issue. i've had the transmission computer restarted, one of the clutches replaced, then a few months after that had the car towed to the dealership again due to "immobilizer malfunction" design for the car is great but the mechanics are terrible.

My car is 3 years old and had the transmission replaced 6 months after i purchased the car and then it had the transmission control module replaced - now i always take my car to the dealer for repairs : my car broke down 2 weeks again amd i had it towed to the dealer - they told me i had to pay for a new battery in order for them to find out what was wrong with my car $300 it cost me ( i just replaced the battery in my car 6 months ago), bright car home and check engine light was on( i asked to speak with a manager at this point and the manager in charge told me that they would get it fixed -$73 it cost me. ( i was charged only for the part-no labor ) bright car home on thursday and car was making a noise so i texted the manager and he said if it was still safe to drive then do so and bring it in on monday. it broke down that sunday and was towed into dealer. now the engine is ruined and they expect me to pay for it when it was their neglect that caused the engine to blow. it was the timing built - when they finally realized that it was too late. i was not charged for the timing belt either. i take my car only to chapman ford 9371 roosevelt blvd 19114

6 spped transmission fails to start up. i have to place the ignition back into the key location on dash to start car. also, there are exhaust fumes coming into the interior of the car when i use the heater fan,

Many times, my car does not down shift after being in a passing gear and then letting off the gas. it stays at 5,000 rpm for a few seconds. july, 2018, my car was stopped as i was waiting to make a left turn. as i pressed on the gas to turn left, my car slipped into neutral. because my brake lights weren't on, my car was hit from behind by an approaching car. september 3, 2018 my car was stopped, i put it into reverse to back into a parking spot. when i pressed the accelerator the car shimmied and moved forward instead of reverse.

The transmission on this vehicle has locked up several times. within a week of purchasing this 2015 ford fiesta in january 2016, i had to take it back to the dealership for transmission issues. the car was jerking and wouldn't take the gas or back up. they kept the car for a week and told me that they replaced some items within the transmission and gave it back to me for my teenage daughter to drive. since that day, i've taken the car back several times for the same issue. the technicians have started telling me that there's nothing wrong with the car when clearly there is something wrong with the car. it has stalled and would not move and cars were coming that has almost gotten my teenage daughter killed. i have taken it back to the dearlership several times for this issue and they keep refreshing it but nothing changes. i have had to make my daughter park the car since she's a college student and purchase her a new vehicle. this vehicle is not safe and i certainly wouldn't recommend anyone purchasing this car. ford has been no help in resolving this situation. she had a car accident on a county street on 8/13/2018 because of this vehicle's issues but the airbags didn't deploy.

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 ford fiesta. the contact stated that the transmission failed to properly engage when shifting gears and upon applying the accelerator pedal. the previous owner indicated that the transmission failure was intermittent and worsened once the contact obtained ownership. the vehicle was inspected by an independent mechanic who stated that further diagnostic testing was needed. two dealers were contacted: casa ford (5815 montana ave, el paso, tx 79925, (915) 779-2272) and camelback ford (1330 e camelback rd, phoenix, az 85014, (602) 635-7551), but the failure could not be diagnosed or repaired. the contact stated that the vehicle continued to lose power, the transmission failed to engage, and the vehicle would accelerate suddenly. the vehicle was deemed unsafe to drive and remained parked several times due to the failures. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the failures. the approximate failure mileage was 16,000.

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 ford fiesta. while driving various speeds, the vehicle failed to accelerate and made a whining noise that was coming from either the transmission or the engine. no warning indicators were illuminated. the vehicle was taken to vic bailey ford (501 e daniel morgan ave, spartanburg, sc 29302, (864) 585-5600) where it was diagnosed that a faulty clutch assembly needed to be replaced. the vehicle was repaired. the manufacturer was not contacted. the approximate failure mileage was 10,735.

My vehicle is affected by the problematic power shift dual-clutch 6 speed automatic transmission. it has been to the service department twice since november 2018 for transmission issues. ford claims my vehicle is not covered by the powertrain warranty extension for vehicles with this transmission in this range of years. they are unresponsive to explain why i don't get the extended coverage when my vehicle clearly qualifies. there should be powertrain warranty coverage on this vehicle for 100k miles vs 60k miles. when i ask about it, they tell me to file a complaint with nhtsa. the car only has 53k miles on it. it has suffered failed clutches, worn input shaft bearings, and probably a bad tcm. it is in the shop now for the tcm. the problems cause shuttering, lurching, poor acceleration, and failure to downshift, which is dangerous when trying to merge into traffic. all these things happen from a dead stop or deceleration for a turn, and acceleration.

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 ford fiesta. the contact stated that the vehicle shifted gears abnormally and an abnormal noise was heard. the dealer (duval honda, 1325 cassat ave, downtown, fl 32205, (904) 899-1900) was notified of the failure. the manufacturer was notified. there was no recall for the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 59,000.

Car regularly shudders. acceleration is a problem. problems occur while driving and switching gears in all road types especially hills.

My vehicle suddenly slows down as warning lights illuminate at the exact same time. i had no choice but to avoid traffic and try to get the car off the roads as it loses power. i could get the vehicle restarted but couldn't get the speed back up to normal. i went to the dealership and was told that i need a throttle body replacement, for a car with less than 50k miles on it.

I was leaving las vegas, going 70 mph down hill and my car started to loose power while it produced a lot of white smoke. i was in a very dangerous situation and was stranded for 4 hrs in the middle of nowhere. the car never gave symptoms just died. no check engine or overheating, oil, coolant. i was traveling on a trip so i did have luggage but i never maxed car weight. the car is 2 years old with less than 48,000 miles. i've done all my maintenance on my car early than stickers and don't drive hard. since i've had the car i've added about 10,000 miles. back to what happened, i was able to get towed to barstow for free but mechanic i was referred to was closed. frustrating and emotionally scaring. i had to cut a deal with the tow company to drive me as close as possible to my home in 94536 zip area. but i could only afford to san jose. the next day i ordered another roadside assistance to fremont ford dealer and have to wait until it's convenient for them to diagnose it for 179. i haven't slept in 48 hrs and ford needs to compensate me for distress. my confidence in the car and experience is on a string.

Enigien light comes on and car will not go above 2k rpms and will not reach 50mph. after the first time i brought the car in to a dealer, after turning the car off they could not get the any codes for 4 days they finally got a code saying its the tps they changed that 2 days later it happened again this time they keep it a week before calling ford and ford told them to change the instrument cluster. a repair of 1k. about 90% of fords have instrument cluster under an extended warranty. but not on my car.

I have taken my vehicle in multiple times due to stuttering and incorrect shifting from my transmission. each time they say they reset the engine then test it and cant find a problem. a few weeks later my vehicle is acting up again and i repeat the steps. i have finally given up trying to resolve the issue with the dealer and am contacting you directly. i have my two kids in this car and it is frightening to think that i may be driving down the free way and have the transmission just cut out on me. they know it is an issue with this make, model and year as well as an issue with other makes and models. they replaced my brothers focus for a similar issue but refuse to act in regards to my car. i am honestly just sick of it and want my car fixed or replaced.

Bad water pumps and a bad transmission car leaks had water pump replaced and the transmission stalled on me twice trying to leave a parking lot to get on the main highway almost got me hit by another car not happy with the car pump is leaking again and had it replaced 10000 miles ago

Vehicle hesitates and sputters when taking off on city roads, when stopped at stop light or making a left hand turn into traffic. real scary to pull out in front of traffic, when you could lose power. very stressful to drive. misses while driving also. tcm has been flashed. replaced. clutch just replaced. overheating light comes on and car loses power: on city street, usually when stopped at a traffic light. dangerous.! has done multiple times. 3rd time into dealer for overheating. last time when, pulled over, after losing power, in city traffic, hood was raised to check fan, and the fan was running but this is what dealership replaced. overheating seems to happen when stopped in city traffic. overheating light comes on and then there's a power loss. i think the only reason you don't have a real lot of complaints about ford fiestas is because, i don't think a lot of ppl know to go here to report problems. i just found it.just like prior person said, if you try to sell it, ford really takes advantage of you. even though your car is only two years old, and you have a defective product. thank you. so your stuck...

Have had to have the transmission control module reprogrammed at least 4 times by 27,000 miles and clutch replacement. the car is unsafe to drive as it will hesitate when power is needed and expected or will downshift and cause car to lunge aggressively forward while braking. it seems also common for the model to stall on highway and clutches refuse to ingage in any gear. i've had many of these issues occurring and it is a major safety problem. i fear for my safety and life every time i have to drive it.

Transmission was shuttering. i was in belief this was a warranty issue as our company has had the same issue with other fiestas

Shutter in the transmission , when i took it in they claimed the problem wasn't severe enough for ford motor to fix the issue. they are aware of the problems in these vehicles but aren't willing to fix it. there is also a class action lawsuit do to the issue. shutter before car moves in forward psoition every time i drive the vehicle .

My vehicle transmission tends to jerk or shake when braking and coming to a stop or at times when accelerating. you can feel it and even hear it with the window open at times.

The car shutters, delays, and/or jerks when accelerating, more often than not. i have been to ford on two occasions for them to fix the system settings on the computer in my car, which the recalls claims fixes the issue, however it has only gotten worse. attached under documentation is information regarding the recall. this happens not only when accelerating from a stop, but even when i just speed up on the highway, which i see to be extremely unsafe and i am nervous driving this vehicle, however ford claims there is no issue and this is "normal."

The vehicle has a shudder on takeoff. the transmission malfunction light came on and would not engage into gear.

Fords powershift transmission fails to shift correctly between first and second gears. the car shudders, shakes, and groans withing the transmission. the car has been to the dealer as almost all ford dealerships will tell you ford really has no fix for their dangerous design of this transmission. the vehicle does not meet fords self-implemented test to have the transmission fixed. instead they reflash the tcm to retrain the computer, this does nothing but prolong their diagnostic process, as you then have to drive vehicle another 1000 miles before they will allow dealerships to look at vehicle again. ford is trying to avoid a recall on this dangerous transmission which should have been forced by the nhtsa to recall and replace all ford fiesta and focus with this type of transmission. the symptoms of this transmission failing are surging of vehicle, loss of drive power, shudder, harsh engagement of engine power, lack of vehicle control due to engagement/disengagement of electronic activate clutches.

The car is unsafe to drive! it hesitates when power is expected. it will downshift and cause car to lunge forward while braking! this is uncontrolable!! it lunged into the intersection at a red light (while my foot was on the brake), with cars coming toward me from both sides!! thank god they were all paying attention and had good brakes!! i could have been seriously injured or killed!! this and the hesitating has happened multiple times! i am very nervous every time i drive. afraid it will cause me to wreck but it is all i have to drive and cannot get anything else while making payments on this one. otherwise , i would not drive it!! *your form only allows me to enter one date when this happened but it has happened multiple times! just different places and circumstances.

The car shudders real bad when starting up. i have heard several focus and fiesta having this problem. ford refuses to fix it. *tr

Making noise, shifts gears to fast, jumps on take off, and jerks, city driving

Takata recall.....transmission tcm & pcm module shuttering, jerking and shaking while proceeding from a idle position. clanking nose underneath car. still having issues

This problem showed up on the first day we picked up this brand new 2015 ford fiesta with less than 25 miles on the odo. while we were turning at an intersection as we left the main highway and entered the side street the transmission went into neutral. the rpms went up to over 4000 but the transmission never engaged. the car that was behind us as we were turning had to stop suddenly to keep from hitting us as we coasted off to the side of the road. as the car almost came to a full stop the transmission engaged hard and jumped forward as if i had slammed it into gear. this has happen many more times with my wife, sister and myself as driver. each time we were almost hit from either oncoming traffic or the vehicles following us.

Ever since i've had my car the transmission feels like its going out it jerks really hard when you press on the gas to try to take off.

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 ford fiesta. the contact stated that the transmission failed when he purchased the vehicle. while driving and depressing the accelerator pedal, it took awhile for the vehicle to accelerate. also, when driving around a curve, the vehicle hesitated to move forward and the check engine warning indicator illuminated. the contact stated that the vehicle was taken numerous times to reynolds ford of norman (825 n interstate dr, norman, ok, 73069, (877) 672-2681) where an unknown update was completed. the vehicle was able to drive normally for a day; however, the failure recurred and worsened. in addition, while accelerating from a stop, the vehicle failed to accelerate and hesitated to move forward. the vehicle was not repaired. the contact also stated that the struts were replaced at 20,000 miles. the manufacturer was not notified of the failures. the approximate failure mileage was 66,000.

I bought my car in march 2016 and noticed right away when i shift from 1st to 2nd my car seems to stall/shake and i have it in automatic, when i have in the kind of shift that i do it doesn't do it. i have contacted the dealership about it and they always tell me there is nothing they can do about it. i have read where others are having the same problem. a friend of mine bought at 2015 ford focus and hers is doing it as well.

Jerks and sometimes makes bad noise when you press the gas pedal. happens often.

Car lunges forward while stopped at intersections. while on a highway in traffic rpms remained high after the transmission failed to downshift for approximately a mile. while attempting to accelerate the transmission doesn't shift up and just doesn't go. rolls backwards down hills while trying to go forward and makes a clicking sound. car has a really bad shutter when rounding curves and turning corners and occasionally follows with the car not accelerating. has been to ford to be checked once already and was told it had nothing wrong with it and has a second appointment next week. i've only owned the car for 9 months and have put less than 10,000 miles on it. sometimes the car feels like it will stall out while trying to shift up. when the car is parked can hear clicking in transmission as it rocks excessively on level ground. car also appears to have no power when pulling into traffic from a stop and has almost been involved in several accidents because of this.

At a traffic light at about, 11:45 pm. on 10/02/2015 my self and my boyfriend were in my 2015 ford fiesta se, with him driving my car, when the light turned green at a major intersection here in phoenix, arizona were we reside, my 2015 ford fiesta leached forward as by boyfriend stepped on the gas pedal, and then the engine suddenly revved up very high, and the car moved from the stop line at the inter- section at a fast rate of speed, and next the transmission locked up, causing the car to stop very hard all at once in the middle of the intersection and stall, and our heads , and our body's to be thrown forward at the windshield, but not hitting it, because the seat-belts engaged thank god ! a car was coming behind use and had to serve severely, almost causing that car to roll over as it just missed hitting or right rear bumper, at about 50 miles an hour. my boyfriend then placed the car in park, and pushed the hazard light button on, but the car would not start, it took about 3 times, turning the key, to get it to start again, by the the light s turn green for the traffic in the other direction, and the cars stated to come at ours. my boyfriend, the final got the car started, and again the car leached forward very abruptly, and again jerked very hard again, and stalled once more, that happened about five times. we were able to final get the car to make it enough through the intersection, to stop it in the middle of the road, when a pedestrian waved to use asking to help us move the car from the middle of the road, we put the car in neutral, and pushed it into a walgreens parking lot. and call for ford emergency roadside assistance. the car then was put on a flat bed trow truck, and take to the ford dealer were it was purchased from.

01/19/2015 my boyfriend had driven my car to the store, about one mile from my home. about 10:40 pm. receipt shows that he had checked out at 10:53 pm. he tells me that he entered my car about 3 minutes later, because it was parked close to the store, he loaded the shopping bags into the trunk of the car and got in and started the car and backed out from the parking space, and then went forward he states it was about no more then 25 yards, when he noticed that the cars transmission, at first hesitated to shift, and then made a slight jerk to the next gear, then jerked once again slightly. he tells me that he then stop the car, and started again forward, and at this time, he did not feel any problems, so i again stopped the car, and put it into reverse. and backed up at 4 mph, he did not notice any problems. he again stopped the car, and then drove again forward at 10 to 15 mph with no problem to home. 01/20/2015 i got into my car with my boyfriend to go to work, 915 am. boyfriend driving. we drove my car out of the apartment complex where i reside, and did not notice a shifting problem, until we entered the street, and that is when the car hesitate to shift upon acceleration, and the engine revved up loudly, and then jerked into gear. at the ford dealership my boyfriend told the service adviser about the issues with the cars transmission, and he was told by the service adviser, that ford knows about the issue, and had issued a service bulletin. he then went on to state that the ford service bulletin states that the problem is caused my a faulty transmission control module, and also a internal leak in the clutch housing on the transmission, and that ford will only repair the issue at 1,500 miles, not before that time. he also stated that the transmission could be computer tuned to help stop the problem. *tr
