Tailgate opens going down the road, tailgate opens anytime i unlock the doors, and tailgate opens when remote is near tailgate with no buttons pushed.

When the temperature goes below freezing, the driver's side door will not close.

I had my 2017 ford f-150, 22,681 miles, parked at a kroger grocery store. i started the ignition with the key fob and loaded my son. after i got in i heard my son coughing, smelled something burning and realized there was black smoke when suddenly the rear windows blew out inches from his head. i never even got the key in the ignition. i removed my son and called 911. the fire department discovered the rear window defrost wire had smoldered and melted causing heat and the combustion that affected the windows in the cool night temp. towed to the ford dealership where they told me the rear defroster contacts had come loose and was the cause. they submitted pics and report to ford to await a decision if they will cover the damage.

Moonroof jammed. the upr window is not capable of of sliding back. rarely used and suddenly doesn't work.

Tl* the contact owned a 2017 ford f-150. the contact stated that while an authorized person was driving approximately 45 -50 mph, they noticed smoke emerging from the rear of the vehicle. the driver exited the vehicle and it spontaneously caught fire. the highway patrol distinguished the fire. the were no warning lights illuminated. the vehicle was towed to a tow lot where the vehicle was deemed a total loss by the insurance company. the contact called the local dealer mossy ford 4919 (4570 mission bay dr, san diego, ca 92109 (858) 273-7500) but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the cause of the failure had not been determined. the manufacturer was not contacted. the failure mileage was approximately 54,000.

I recently bought a ford truck and just a normal day i was driving and the truck just power off i took the truck to a ford service they told me i still have extended warranty, they check the truck and told me that the issue was electrical throttle body snd that my warranty doesn't covered that malfunction, i think that a new truck with less than 51 thousands miles with electrical problems meaning that ford just don't want to covered what they don't do right

I've had to repair my sunroof twice costing over $3800. i've only opened the sunroof maybe 20 times in 2 years and now the motor is defected. i have talked to several ford techs and they say they see issues with the sunroof all the time. i have personal friends who have been driving down the road and their sunroof shattered. a recall investigation needs to occur please.

Rear window blow out. i turned on my vehicle this morning to warm up. i turned on the defrosters and went back inside for approximately 2 minutes. when i came back outside i could smell a electrical type burning smell. i am a firefighter and am familiar with this odor. no smoke or flames ever present/visible. i turned then suddenly heard a loud pop, realizing that both sides of my rear window had completely shattered. the vehicle was not moving. no one was in the vehicle and i was the only one near it. nothing hit the window and i had never had the smell in my truck before.

Trailer blind spot monitor is turning on automatically despite no trailer being connected. dealer has attempted two fixes with no resolution. when trailer blind spot is engaged it emits a false blind spot monitor light, which causes uncertainty whether it is safe to maneuver or not.

Backup camera does not work - when shifting from park to reverse, the backup camera fails to activate. this happens frequently - sometimes it will happen the first time the vehicle is driven (after being parked overnight), sometimes it will happen while driving around (i.e. drive for a short amount of time, then park, then drive again - the camera will fail to activate upon restarting the vehicle). i have owned this vehicle since december 2017, and first noticed the issue about a month after purchasing. dealer claims that they are unable to reproduce the problem. comments posted online at www.f150forum.com suggest that this may be related to a failing apim module, and that this seems to be a common issue.

Moonroof binding up. it continues to try an open for a few seconds which could bind up motor burn it out as well as possible start a fire or melt plastic. it doesnt even open it just binds up an stops all the time an now doesnt open at all. being ase certified and knowing enough about electricity this could cause a fire as it it is binding up if you continue trying to use it. this is a safety concern as it could cause a fire as well if you are driving and go to use it may make an awkward noise and distract you from driving at the time you try to get it to work. vehicle was being driven at the time of use. an then i tried it stationary afterwards an then had to disconnect it. have yet to fix it or have it looked at as i will fix it myself due to the cost.

While driving. vehicle loses all electrical and engine power without warning, a complete failure. had towed to ford shop and could not be diagnosed and no fault code was generated. vehicle was returned without repair. a few days later, vehicle died again. no electric no power in the middle of road. i am i a wheel chair and could not get out. returned to shop today and am awaiting them to try to recreate the issue because no warning lights for codes are being generated when it fails. this failure could be fatal if within an intersection or other dangerous scenarios are present. lose of power to steering, brakes. all functions are lost that engine power and electrical power operate>

Tl* the contact owns a 2017 ford f-150. the contact stated that the instrument cluster failed to illuminate and would not display the transmission gear shifter position. the vehicle was not taken to a dealer or independent mechanic for diagnostic testing or repairs. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was 31,500.

Door latches repeatedly freeze during cold weather despite having been in for repair several times since the truck was new, including a service campaign designed to address this issue. the door latches will either freeze while the door is shut, preventing them from opening, or will freeze after the door has been opened, which prevents them from securely latching when you attempt to close them. this past saturday the door opened while i was moving the truck in the driveway, resulting in me falling part-way out of the truck while it was moving. they again froze that evening, creating a situation where i had to hold the door closed with my left arm.

On 9-24-18 my instrument cluster went out, no gauges worked including wipers, blinkers, defroster. had truck towed to the dealer and they did a master reset. got the truck back a little over a week later. 7 days later the same thing happened all the gauges along with wipers, blinkers and defroster. the radio was out both times but that was not the safety issue. this time the dealer replaced a module. got the truck back on 10-12-18 and it is working at this time. both times the truck was stationary. 1st time was in my garage and the 2nd time was in the parking lot of the fire department that i run with. .

Tl* the contact owns a 2017 ford f-150. when the vehicle was parked overnight in cold weather, the fuel gauge, speedometer, weather control, radio, and odometer would freeze and fail to work. occasionally, a "transmission not in park, emergency brake is on, service is needed" message was displayed. the vehicle was taken to baxter ford west dodge (18505 california street, elkhorn, ne 68022, 855-494-0107) to be diagnosed, but the failure could not be duplicated. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was 208,003. *dt*jb

No break lights, backup lights, parking lights, turn signal lights in rear.

We are experiencing separate serious safety issues with our f-150: 1. the capless gas tank system causes the gas shutoff when refilling to not stop at 'full'. this causes gas to spray in an arc for 3-4 seconds - covering both people and the ground with approx 16-24 oz of gas. 2. the front doors, when subjected to freezing temperatures will open but will not reclose until the latch mechanism is c ompltwtely defrosted - approx 15 minutes. this means that during that time the doors are unable to be closed at all. additionally, the rear view camera/driver information screen is 'shorting out', causing the camera to be 'stuck on' or the inability to toggle to navigation or features beyond the main screen until a minimum speed (approx 15-20 mph) is reached.

Tl* the contact owns a 2017 ford f-150. upon exiting the vehicle, while idling, the vehicle lunged in reverse at approximately 8-10 mph. a pedestrian was able to get into the vehicle and stop the acceleration. the vehicle was taken to hemborg ford (1900 hammer ave, norco, ca), but it was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the failure mileage was approximately 1,500.

Ford f-150 door latch will not locks or close properly in cold weather and freezing temperatures. using a bungee to keep door shut. dealership said there is no fix for this because the vehicle has the most current recall parts. i believe that this can and will be a safety hazard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this is not acceptable!!

I am having the exact same isaue as ford recall 17c01, nhtsa campaign number 17v053000 where in cold climates the instrument cluster doesn't work upon starting the truck. this recall is for 2017 ford f150s built in the dearborn, mi plant, but was not extended to my 2017 ford f150built in the dearborn, mi plant. this issues has happened on multiple occasions.

My drivers door does not "latch" when i close it. it appears this occurs when below freezing. i see forums about being wet/freezing. mine happens in normal cold/non wet conditions as well. the vehicle was towed to a local ford dealer for service, they told me they don't have parts come back next week, i did. they said there's no fix and they might want a water test. at this point i have no intention of being inconvenienced by their blundering and guessing. i told them to call me when they have a fix. i sell mercedes-benz products so i empathize with recalls however i am beyond frustrated that i drive to work holding my door shut. i have read many frustrating situations concerning this on the forums. it seems this has been going on since 2015. it is disturbing that ford can't come up with a dependable solution in almost 3 years. my vehicle is not on the recall list but i am having the problem. this is totally unacceptable.

The engine shut off and the truck rolled to a stop. meanwhile, several warning messages flashed on the instrument panel and smoke began pouring from under the hood. i got out and looked under the vehicle and sparks were profusely flying. i walked away from the vehicle and the engine ignited within 5 seconds. the entire incident occurred within 10-15 seconds. the vehicle was totaled.

The day after i bought the vehicle, the cross traffic and blind spot sensors failed. the dealership has been unable to fix the problem. ford told the dealership to replace parts, but the parts are not available and they don't know when they will be.

Engine stalls at stop (after letting up on brake and auto start stop re-starts the engine) followed by "hill start assist not available" error flashes along with other brake related errors; vehicle engine won't turn over/start unless transmission is put back into park. upon restarting all engine error/fault messages are cleared and things seem back to normal. today was the second time this has happened. the first time was about 7 days ago. this is dangerous should it happen entering an intersection. i reported the problem to livermore ford and they said that since it is intermittent without a check engine light on they cannot diagnose it.
