On 2 occasions (in the last 2 weeks) while driving my ford 150 (2011) (on the freeway about 50mph) i suddenly felt like i was rear-ended and my head went backwards on the head rest. i looked in the rear view mirror expecting to see a vehicle who had hit me, but there was none. on oct 3, 2019, the same thing happened (was driving about 30mph) and i once again looked in the rear view mirror to see if there was a car that hit me, there wasn't. also after the 2nd incident the wrench warning light came on briefly, went off, and the speedometer went to zero, even though i was probably driving 30 miles an hour. i pulled the truck over, turned off the engine and when i restarted it, the speedometer worked again. i honestly feel this is a recall issue that may be related to the power train (that is what the wrench warning light indicates). both of these incidents were very frightening because i thought i had been hit from behind, but that was not the case, rather there was some sort of mechanical failure in this vehicle. ...
I purchased the vehicle on 07/30/19. on or around 08/01/19 the vehicle was jerking and the check engine light came on, so i notified both salesmen at the dealership immediately by text message and photos. chris indicated that the truck needs an oil change. so i had the oil change done immediately after the text message. two or three days later, the truck jerked again. i called chris and informed him that the truck was jerking again. chris indicated i take it to have it checked with an odb2. the truck obd2 indicated that the truck had a problem with camshaft sensors. from the parts store i drove to the dealership and showed the results of the obd2. chris indicated that he would discuss the issue with jesse to see if they could help get this problem resolved. within two to three days i returned to the dealership that jesse could test drive the truck. when jesse test drove the truck, it did not jerk and the check engine light was off. jesse indicated that he and the dealership could not help me because there was no evidence or codes ...
I am an owner of a ford f-150 platinum. the vin is (xxxxx). i received a notice of a recall with fix for my pickup last year. i took my pickup with the notice that i had received in the mail to our local ford dealership, baugh ford in clanton, alabama. i had an appointment with the local dealership on or around september 5, 2018 to resolve this issue. prior to this repair, i had not noticed or experienced any problems with the transmission. however, following the repair, i noticed the transmission slipping or for lack of a better term forgetting what gear it was in. this seemed to happen while traveling slowly as in a parking lot, then letting off of the accelerator. as soon as the accelerator was depressed there was a brief pause followed by a loud metal to metal pop and jolt as if someone had hit the rear of the vehicle. this occurred infrequently and i could not make this happen, not reproduceable. this occurred approximately six times since september last. on june 15, 2019, while traveling on interstate i-65 north just north of montgomery, alabama at highway speed, i noticed the transmission seemed to ...
The passenger a/c will not switch to cool. it is intermittent problem. i feel it is manufacturing defect and should be a recall. i known several other owners that have same problem.
I started my truck for work and turn on rear defroster and the rear window shattered on the drivers side also two weeks ago my tire almost fell off after 3 lug nuts broke m and 1 was missing
Was in parking lot and started vehicle. put in drive and started to move. heard loud pop sound. stopped and got out to look over vehicle. found the passenger side rear window had spontaneously shattered. there was no previous defect in the window. the rear window is a three part slider with defrost. ford service does not know why the window would have shattered and will not cover cost of replacement. at this time the window has not yet been repaired. understand ford has issues with this happening and will not cover under a possible recall. it may have been caused by the defrost system in window.
We had a march snow storm on 3-18-19 and temperatures were below freezing. i had turned on my rear window defrost and was on my way to work driving on a neighborhood street when i heard a loud pop sound. i pulled over to the side of the road and found that one of my rear windows had shattered. this is a window with the defrosting element in it. after inspecting the window i found that there was no sign of any impact to the window. as shown in the attached pictures. the window just shattered on its own. was appears that this was caused by thermal expansion from the heated defroster.
The rear defrost malfunctioned and one of the three rear window panels shattered. the vehicle was being driven to school with my 3 children in the backseat. we were going 25 mph through a town.
Regarding safety recall notice19s07, i called the dealership and they told me that they do not have the software to fix this until sometime in may, to call back at the beginning of may. how can i make ford resposible if something happens to me in the meantime? thanks!
As experienced by many others, one of the fixed rear windows shattered while driving about 35 mph in a straight line on a maryland state roadway that was in good condition. a very loud pop/crash alerted me to the damage. i could not identify any physical impact that caused the glass to shatter. this occurred on 4 mar 2019.
Downshifting and stuck in 1st gear . car in motion!!!!!
When i turned on my rear defroster this morning while it was parked, i heard a loud pop and was not aware of what had happened until later when i saw that my rear windshield's right side glass had completely shattered. after looking online,i learned that this has happened to many ford f150 owners, i called my local dealership and they said that since there is no recall on this problem, there is nothing they could do and that they would charge me almost $680 to replace the window.
After i started my parked truck very early this morning around 6:20 am when it was still dark and very cold, i turned on the rear defroster, at which time i heard a loud pop but could not figure out where the sound came from. it was not until later in the day that i noticed that my rear right window was completely shattered. after i looked online, i realized that this was a persistent and common problem with this truck (ford f150). i called the dealership and they said that as there was no recall on this problem, there was nothing they could do but i could get it replaced for around $700.00. why doesn't ford fix this issue if so many trucks owners are suffering.
The issue i have with my 2011 ford f150 is with the back glass shattering. my truck was parked in my driveway and i remote started the truck. when i went out to leave the back glass was shattered on the passenger side. nothing hit the glass as it was parked and not in motion on the driveway. the rear defrost is set to auto when remote starting so the back defrost would of come on when i started the vehicle due to the windows having frost on them. looking online this appears to be a common issue with ford f150's and remote start with auto defrost. luckly no one was in the truck as this could of seriously hurt someone when the glass shattered.
On monday january 6th i started my vehicle and let it warm up then when i tried to put my truck into reverse and when i put the shift lever in reverse the electronic transmission prndl display did not indicate the letter r for reverse and the backup lamps did not operate. after that i tried each gear and none of them were working so i put it into park and then back into drive it slammed into gear and then i was able to drive. the day before i got into my vehicle after it warmed up then put it into perverse and it did not go into reverse at all or drive. as a result i took it to midas in my town and they told me that there was a safety recall on my vehicle due to the codes and behavior so they advised me to take it to ford dealership for it to be fixed for free. i did so and i asked about a recall and they reported to me that there is no recall and they want me to pay full charges this is a safety concern that can ...
