2008 f-150 radio and interior lights randomly come on while the key is off, out of the ignition, parked in the garage, with the doors closed, the windows can be open or closed. began randomly about 2 months ago (12-1-2010 @ 60k miles). no re-occurring pattern to the incidences. if the radio on/off switch is off the radio does not come on, but the interior light will come on. local dealer replaced some sort of "radio module-$600.00" but did not resolve the issue. help; concerned about battery life and other potential electronic failures. *tr

Brakes failed on 2 separate occasions for no apparent reason. ran thru 2 different intersections ...no wet roads...no weather conditions...just failed to stop vehicle. *tr

2008 f150 when you depress the brake and your foot is on the right side of the pedal it will go down pass the acc. pedal and sometimes causing you to depress both pedals. this has happened to me more than once and can be the cause of an accident if you are in close quarters. if this happens the engine will out pull the effect of the brakes. i took the vehicle to alan vigil ford in morrow ga and they say that nothing is wrong with it. when this happens i can see why some people run over things even though they say they are on the brake. with todays technology i would think that they could correct this by adjusting the brake when being depressed from going down lower than the accelerator. *tr

I have a noise problem and have been to several dealers, when you hold the accelerator steady it makes a very loud hissing noise, when you let off the gas or get on it heavy it goes away, the dealer has replaced the intake manifold and the catalytic converter, we have test driven with the service manager a identical truck and it does not make the noise and trucks at work that are equivalent don't make the noise as well, the service advisor said it is not right however when an engineer came in he could not identify the problem and deemed it a characteristic of the vehicle, it did not start making the noise until it had approximately 4 to 5,000 miles on it and has gradually been getting worse. ford customer service says they are not going to do anything further with this issue. *tr

Bought a 2008 f-150 and the a/c does not cool properly. checked it against a 2005 f-150 that i own and new truck a/c is 8 degrees warmer. took new truck back to dealer, got a loaner 2008 and checked it's a/c. it cools like the 2005. dealer said nothing wrong with a/c. it has been back to dealer twice now and now is cooling 15 degrees warmer than originally. dealer will not help. contacted customer relations in deaborn,mi and they ended up talking to my dealer and said same thing ..nothing they can do. i live in texas and it gets hot here. there is a big difference in cooling something from say 95 degrees to 115 degrees. something is wrong with a/c and ford dealership will not acknowledge it or fix it. *tr

Any setting above 60 degrees on the air conditioner blows hot air no matter what the temperature is outside, or whether you are set on recirculating, etc. *tr

I think it a crime that fords put towing weights on their web sites and in booklets and it is false. we bought ford 150 in march so that we could tow our 32"'travel trailer that weighs 7,000 lbs. all documentation states it can pull 9,000 lbs. we have pulled our unit 3 times and everytime we pray that we make it to our destination and home safely. i would like to know who rates these vehicles towing capacity. our new truck struggles and sways so bad. we have a sway bar too. i am going to go as far as i can to prevent any other poor sole from experiencing what we are experiencing. as the highway traffic safety i would be concerned about what is towing what out there. we have had no accident or deaths yet but i will be keeping copies of everything i send so if i do die pulling this trailer, i have advised my children to fight for other people. we pay alot of money a month just to tow this trailer and the darn truck won't tow it, but all documentation says it should. maybe it is just us, but my husband is not a fearful person what so ever and towing this trailer does cause some fear. *tr

We bought this truck brand new in february 2008 and the air conditioner does not blow cold at idle. it will blow approximately 70 degrees out of the vents on a 90 degree day. i have taken it to 2 different dealers and both checked and test drove the truck, only to advise "there is nothing wrong with it" it is blowing cold enough according to them on max a/c going down the highway, so their suggestion was to not change it from max a/c. *tr
