A wreck on constitution ave washington d.c. , has caused the hard , stiff plastic of seat belt buckle clip that fastens into the lock to keep you buckled in to go into my right front hip . it's position seems to be wrong to me . and to the great cause of such pain in my life to the suffering of my whole life .i have sharp severe pain from it's contact area on my hip . my spine and back have this sever disability that leaves me feeling like i'm tearing into two parts in my back .shock of pain severity is real. this pain was caused by thrown against this hard plastic buckle when the driver drove into my vehicle at 20 mph or more . which twisted me in the seat and aligned the buckle on my hip bone which smashed that area hard and left me severely injured and out of work for a long time and still suffering five years later and disturbed by lawyers and insurance settlements process to handle this matter . my vehicle is a 2003 ford f-150 crew cab. the seat buckle engaging lock sticks up out of the seat and sticks up in the air . and this leaves the very hard plastic also of clip there up in the air and depending on how your are wrecked and sitting in the seat at that moment depends on how your body hits that seat belt buckle clip and lock. i got well enough to get back to some normalcy . and did call ford motor co. which said sorry to hear that and told me they could not assist me further with any injury claim and said i needed to contact another lawyer . i feel i need to file because my case can't get to this issue fast enough to help public warned of it's hazard . *tr

Seat belt wont lock most times. has been like this for over 10 years. both back doors wont open. if truck catches fire you wont be able to get out. doors opened then one day the were stuck, this is a hazerd if you are sitting in the back and need to get out fast.

I have been having a problem with rear-seat seatbelt extenders. the extender provided by our dealer is number f58z-16611c22-a. the problem is that the receptacle on the extender will not latch onto the seat belt unless the extender receptacle is at room temperature or above. we have been trying to get this problem resolved for several months. the parts and service folks at friendly ford of monroe, michigan claim that nothing can be done about it because, according to ford motor company, there is no other extender available. they have reordered the extenders several times, thinking that maybe they were defective, but we still have the problem. we have to warm up the extenders in order to get them to work, and even then they will not latch 100 percent of the time. i have also contacted the ford motor company and they have also told me that nothing can be done. *la

While driving 25 mph, in inclement weather the vehicle skidded. the driver lost control of the vehicle and hitting a ditch, lost control and was overturned. both frontal air bags deployed. however, the passenger seat belt failed to restrain consumer. this caused the passenger to eject out of the passenger door window tied the seat belt around the passenger's right arm and attaching her to the truck. two passengers and the driver sustained major injuries and were transported to the hospital. the vehicle was towed to the dealer for inspection. the cause has not been determined at this time. *bf

While driving at normal speed consumer's vehicle was involved in a front collision and neither of the air bags deployed, and driver's seat belt did not hold the driver. no air bag warning light appeared prior to collision. *ak

My complaint pertains to an accident that i was involved in on july 29, 2003. i had a frontal collision with another car in an intersection. the other car ran a red light, but the fact is, my right front corner of my bumper hit her left front side at her left front tire and did considerable amount of damage to both vehicles. i have a f150 4x4 supercrew, the other car was a olds' 98 regency full size car. my approximate speed was between 20 to 25 mph, i had just came from another intersection and had not reached the speed limit quite yet. after hitting this car my truck traveled another 20 to 30 yards before hitting a 2 pipe hand/guard rail. the corner post placed a nice v dead center in my bumper. the hood was buckled, both front quarter panels damaged and jammed back into the doors. my air bag did not deploy nor did my seat belts lock in position to prevent myself from hitting the steering wheel with my chest. the truck was repaired by a reliable collision center approved by my insurance company, state farm insurance. i had notified ford of the air bag and seat belt not working as i was lead to believe it should and was instructed to take my truck to the dealership where i purchased it and have the systems checked out. dealership test results showed systems all working properly. i contacted ford again and asked just what it takes to initiate these devices to work. the customer service person read to me what it would take for these to work. i told her that is exactly what i was telling her had happened in the wreck. at this point i have no confidence in my truck and worry that they will not work the next time if ever needed again or if they will even deploy for no reason while i'm driving down the road. i just don't know where to go with this to gain confidence in my truck. i just purchased this truck in april and will take a bad beating if i trade it off now (because it has been damaged in a crash) since i?ll never be able to trade it in or sell it.

Has been into the dealership on numerous occassions, since december 2002. a new seat belt was ordered "twice". the second one ordered was due to the technician not being comfortable with it. january 20, 2003 while driving at 65 mph, had to come to a panic stop, seat belt on driver's side did not lock. a ford motor co. engineer now states that the seat belt is working as designed. if a seat belt does not lock during a panic stop from such a high rate of speed, why do we have seat belts? on january 31, 03 coming home from the engineer inspection, we were not comfortable with the inspection. all we were told is that the seat belt is performing as designed. we, at 45 mph, depressed the brakes as like we were doing a panic stop, neither driver's side nor passenger side seat belt locked. will still test the issue. some times the belt will lock, sometimes not. we are concerned and feel we have had information regarding the seat belts and our safety concealled from us. very hard to work with the dealership.

Vehicle was involved in rear end collision. driver's side seat belt unfastened, and the seat back collapsed. the dealer had been contacted. *ak
