Vehicle spontaneously started on fire. it had been turned off at a restaurant in parking area. it had been driven about 3 miles in town just before the fire. the vehicle had low mileage, approximately 50000 miles. no know mechanical or other issues, serviced regularly.
My truck has been running fine with new parts on it. i went to my friend's house went in to switch my laundry, looked out her window and my was on fire!! truck off and keys were not in ignition and it was parked in a driveway under a carport. it posed no problems on the way over there, no smells, no sounds, no nothing. and then bam! hood shooting out flames.
Several stalls followed by crank no start conditions over several months with no associated check engine light, code p0627 while vehicle in motion. 4m auto service center abilene tx performed fuse 27 relocation to fuse 73 accomplished. vehicle returned to service. several stalls followed by crank no start conditions over several months with no associated check engine light, code p0627 while vehicle in motion. code cleared, vehicle returned to service. stalled followed by crank no start conditions with check engine light, codes p025a, u0109 and p0627 while vehicle stationary. 4m auto service center abilene tx replaced fuel pump control module. vehicle returned to service. several stalls followed by crank no start conditions over several months with no associated check engine light no codes. vehicle owner replaced fuel pump due to burnt wire (see attached photo). vehicle returned to service. contacted 4m auto service center, arrow ford abilenetx aand ford motor company customer service.
Tl* the contact owns a 2016 ford expedition. while driving 50 mph, the wrench icon illuminated and the vehicle began to stall. the contact coasted the vehicle to the side of the road and was able to restart it after the failure. the contact took the vehicle to gator ford (11780 tampa gateway blvd, seffner, fl 33584) where it was diagnosed with a defective throttle body. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the failure mileage was 49,200. the vin was unknown.
Delevoped a ticking noise timing chains were replaced all rockers and lifters are in good shape the truck looses power it starts up rough at about 1800 rpm you can hear the ticking loud past 2000 rpm the ticking goes away i have recently been notified that these engines have cam phaser problems it recently developed a p0022 code which is int cam position timing over ret bank 2 i have replaced the vvt selonoids and still has the same problem vehicle lost power on highway speed dropped from 70 and would not go past 30 very unsafe incedent on the interstate
Upon receiving tune up the spark plugs broke apart.after getting them out cyl#1 would not hold spark plug,caused me to spend more money to get problem fixed.but the shops will not guarantee the work that is needed.they all said it was a factory issue.the truck was stationary as well.
My 2017 ford expedition with 60,000 miles, loses power randomly, without any warning when driving. i have to pull over immediately, shut it off and turn it back on. ford dealership service department said it's the throttle body and gasket.
Even though i have put the car in park, it still moves and has hit me and some of the passengers getting out the car with the doors and other parts of the vehicle almost running us over. the vehicle was put in park according to dial. however, it still moved.
This has happened 3 times, first time stopped at a red light, when foot was put onto gas to go vehicle instantly lost power with no stuttering or stalling and had to put in park turn key over to go again. second time, going 65 down the highway vehicle suddenly acted like it lost power and speed decreased, pulled over to side of highway and put in park and started right up. third time, going 65 down highway started to act like it was losing power and showed dash lights as if all power was cut short and then gained all power back without having to pull over and restart.
I was driving at approximately 50 mph, in a steady-state in mild traffic, when the wrench icon in the left-side of the dashboard lit up momentarily and the vehicle lost all power. the engine was still running but was unresponsive. i had to coast to a stop, turn it off then re-start the vehicle. it did so again upon driving it on monday aug 19. ford was contacted and denied the issue, even though this exactly mimics the reason for the recall on 2015 ford flexes/lincoln mkts, etc. with the same powertrain!
