We have classified the 3 complaints from 2007 Ford Escape about VISIBILITY into the following categories.
I had just pulled out of the gas station when my back glass exploded. i was the only vehicle there and i was hardly even going 5 mph! i immediately exited my vehicle to see if anything had hit it, and there was nothing in or around my vehicle except for shattered glass. the glass was every where; inside the back, on the bumper, and even on top of the roof! i'm not the only one who has experienced this issue! william ford and mark fields, i want this fixed! if my two year old were in the car he would be covered in glass! this is a safety issue! *tr
Rear window exploded while parked overnight in garage. no apparent reason. *tr
As i was coming out of work to go to lunch i walked up to the car and saw all sorts of glass on the ground and then looked up and saw that my rear window had blown out. the rubber that holds the window was on the outside of the car. i had a police officer come out and look at it and he determined that it was not vandalism of any type. it was a bright sunny day and about 28 degrees. it was parked in the parking lot and it just blew out. i am grateful for that because i drive quite a ways to work on a very busy road and if that had happened while i was driving it may of caused a serve accident. *tr

I got to work this morning around 8 am .. within a half hour of working a co-worker came to me and asked if i drive a ford escape and as i told her yes she said to come out to the parking lot to see my car...as i arrived to see what had happened...my rear window had appeared to have exploded...the temperature outside was under 80 degrees...i had not ran my ac or rear defrost...i filed a report with the police department and they said that there had been no appearance of attempted break in...the glass was on the inside as well as on the outside ( all over the parking lot ) and behind the 2 cars parked next to me..glad that i was not driving at the time!!! as i looked this up out of curiosity on the internet there were alot more of these complaints...what's a consumer to do when they pay through the nose for a vehicle and receive such trash??? *tr
