My wife was involved in a car accident with our 2015 ford edge on 8/7/2019. she rear ended a full sized suv at a moderate speed as she crested a hill into stopped vehicles. the skirt airbag deployed but the main airbag did not. she also states that the lap belt held in in the seat but the shoulder harness did not lock and she was thrust into the steering wheel. we have more pictures upon request.
Takata recall...... i was wondering why my car has not be recalled. when i look it up and it states that it is an eligible subject vehicle.
Car was taken to liberty ford in warrensville recently for an oil change. told that the oil pan was cracked and oil was leaking. needed repair. indicated that the car was under warranty. so repair would be done free. no indication of problem until car was taken in to shop for oil change. told it was a small leak when asked why i didn't notice it!
Tl* the contact owned a 2015 ford edge. while driving approximately 35 mph, the contact crashed into the preceding vehicle. only the air bag on the driver's side floor deployed. the air bag in the steering wheel failed to deploy. the driver sustained a chest contusion, and causing a implant rupture. medical attention was required. a police report was filed. the insurance company towed the vehicle to a repair facility. the vehicle was destroyed. the dealer was not contacted. the manufacturer was notified months later and did not investigate the cause of the failure. the failure mileage was 15,616. *tt *tr
