Tl* the contact owns a 2013 ford edge. the contact stated that while attempting to exit the vehicle, all the interior lighting illuminated and the door ajar warning light illuminated. the contact had to repeatedly open and close the front driver side door in order to stop the light from illuminating. the failure recurred on numerous occasions. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the failure mileage was 37,000. the vin was unavailable.

The " driver door ajar" warning light remains on constantly. being a senior citizen, i'm concerned about being car jacked when stopped because the door locks will not automatically activate when the warning light is on. also, the interior lights remain on for a period of time which can alert a car jacker. the ford dealer estimate to repair the latch sensor is $470. *tr
