Problems with 2009 Ford Edge AIR BAGS

Takata recall - received a letter in march 2017 about the recall and plan to fix it. ford has yet to contact me with the fix.

Takata recall i received the safety recall letter on march 2017 and since then i have called ford dealership several times and was told that parts not available yet and they would notify us by mail once they have the parts. this is way overdue and i am not feeling safe driving a car which has a problem with the airbags. please redirect my complaint toward them so they get the parts asap and fix the problem.

Takata recall safety recall notice 17s01/nhtsa recall 17v-024: recall letter rec'vd march 2017, a year ago. we have called ford dealer(s) for almost a year. they state they do not have the parts to make the repairs. ford informs drivers to stop driving the vehicles and take car to the ford dealer for repair of airbag inflator yet dealers are not provided repair parts "yet". one news article stated a loaner car will be provided, but dealer does not provide a loaner car. safercar video states airbag inflator can be affected by extreme heat. i live in an area that includes extreme hot weather. video states the older car models are more likely affected. our model is 9 years old. i transport grandchildren and elderly parents in my car. the recall shows it is for the passenger airbag. does the driver side of the car not include an airbag also? after waiting patiently for many months, we have tried diligently to get our car recall repaired, without any success. our dealer referred us to the ford office in florida for assistance. the rep was not of assistance or sympathetic. the florida call is confirmed by call case no. cas13975245. we do not have the privilege of leaving our vehicle parked, undriven. we even asked the dealer and the florida office if they will disconnect the entire airbag until parts are received, response = unlawful. why are many vehicle airbags being repaired, however, ford edge vehicles are not being repaired? this is serious, and your help is greatly required. 2/21/2018...yes 2018....one year after the recall notice.

Takata recall!! still has not been replaced. dealership states they don't have part and i will be notified. one of the notices said i could get a rental car but dealer did not have one available and put my name on waiting list. im driving around with this in my car and it's been over a year. i dont like playing with fire. please help, thank you!

2 years and still waiting for ford to replace my air bags? why is it taking so long???? i have children that ride with me on a daily basis in this vehicle! nothing has happened as of yet, but what if it does????

Have received several recall notifications concerning the passenger side air bag in my vehicle. i've checked with the dealer several times and am only told they are not available and i'll be notified when one does become available. why isn't the nhtsa forcing the issue on these recalls? i've seen many complaints for all years and models so it is not just limited to my particular vehicle. if this is a safety issue, enforce the requirement!

Takata recall. having been checking with helfman ford in houston and many other local ford dealers on many occasions to get takata replacement airbags for my 2009 ford edge since july 2016 through november 3, 2017 to get replacement because of fear of personal injury or death due to defective airbag as part of the national air bag recall but the houston dealers do not have parts to replace still

The takata inflators recall notice was sent to me almost a year ago and there still isnt a remedy and it is not safe to transport my family in the vehicle as well its not safe to drive on the road for if the airbag deploys and is faulty i could get seriously hurt and cause my to possibly hurt others if i loose control of my vehicle

Takata recall i have been receiving safety recall notices since 2016 from for telling me that my takata airbag was on a safety recall, i have been to the ford dealer and number of times and each time i go i'm always told that the parts aren't in in 2018 i received a safety recall notice telling me not to drive my car because of the unsafe conditions that's not an option for me i need to drive my car each and every day, i live in florida where i understand that it is very unsafe to be driving around with that takata airbag i don't know what to do at this point but something needs to be done this is been going on for 2 years

Tamara recall - the first letter i received on this recall was in july 2016. nothing has been done. the last one i received was this last january and now they are telling me not to drive it because it is not safe. i am currently exploring avenues to sue the ford dealer and ford motor company. the car is useless to me. i can't drive it, i can't trade it, and i can't sell it all because it has had an active recall for going on 3 years now. i am getting tired of this!!!!!!!!

Takata recall in july of 2016 i received notice that my passenger side air bag was under recall it has a takata air bag. i have called and complained to ford motor co. i have received no response and the airbag is still in my car. they assure me that there is no reason for alarm. they have no replacement at this time i call the dealership at least once a month to check.

Takata recall - recall was june 2016 and keep calling ford and still cannot fix it. they can build new cars and make money but not fix a very bad problem of cars they already made money on, which is not right. they should be help accountable to do a fix that's dangerous than bringing new cars off their assembly line!!!!

Its been since 2016 that the takata recall on my ford edge was brought to my attention but i have yet to get the replacement of my airbags. i went to 2 ford deals and was informed that i need to present a letter stating that i could get my airbags replaced. my vehicle remains a hazard to occupants. how much longer is the process for replacement of hazardous airbags? is there anything i can do to speed up the process.
