My windshield wipers will not turn off. when i took my vehicle to the repair shop to have it checked out they told me that water was getting in behind the windshield and shorting out the electrical components. they stated that this problem has been occurring with the make and model of my vehicle. *jb

Spark plug ejected from cylinder head of my 1999 ford e-150 5.4l engine. the threads were stripped and the dealer says $4000+ total repair. the fuel and air leaking into the engine compartment with a convenient ignition source, the spark plug, fortunately did not lead to a fire but it's potentially enormous. after internet searching, this seems to be a very common problem. although the ford dealer does not acknowledge this. *la

Windshield wipers go on by themselves. odometer light flickers on & off. problem has been ongoing since i purchased the vehicle in 2001. *ak

The consumer states that within two weeks of the purchase of this vehicle, he has been having brake problems. (when the brakes began having problems, the consumer had taken the vehicle to a service manager and was told that the vehicle has hard brake linings and they needed to be broken in) then after, the consumer experienced the brakes becoming inoperative, grabbing/pulling(sharply), and failing. on two seperate occasions, the consumer was exiting the freeway when he applied the brakes and they failed, consumer drove to the shoulder to avoid hitting the vehicle in front of him, and the last incident the consumer was at a stop light and tried to stop but the vehicle had gone through the red light. the vehicle pulled sharply to the right, then 25-30 yards past the intersection when the vehicle suddenly sharply pulled to the left and then right and finally stopped. the cunsumer also states that the caliper slides are hanging up-could not duplicate) *scc

The vehicle is an electrical nightmare . the main wiring harness chaffed and shorted out within a few days of service . the lift system has an intermittant problem , frequently will blow resetable breaker .when it rains the system gets wet because the door doesnt close properly, when the floor was dropped for the modifications it was not done properly. because of this the door leaks ,causes the electrical components to get wet . the van for sale , the adaptive equipment will be removed first though , i assure you ! i have been locked out and stuck inside due to the side door opening failures (multiple ).please feel free to call me , our legal expert would be glad to give you the official report of problems . the van is for sale, but it will be a while . the world of independence company did the best they could , but they should not do any more ada modifications . charles scholl 321-452-0667
