Truck tire defective

Could not balance tires bubble on tire sidewall

As we traveled from indiana to wisconsin we experienced two separate tire blow outs. the first was on i 65 in indiana the second was on i 90 in wisconsin. we were traveling at 70 mph the posted speed limit at both occasions. *tr

The cable holding the spare tire in place broke. the spare fell of the truck, the tire weights close to 90 to 100 lbs, while traveling around 60 mph. i was flagged by a motorist who was behind me at the time. he stated the tire came off my and bounced into the other opposing lane. a car had to use the shoulder and ditch to avoid the full size spare tire. by the time i found a place to turn around and go back to the aprox location i did not find the spare. the cable holding the tire broke about 6 inches below the winch. by the number replacement winches being sold lost tire reports its only a matter of time before an injury. the cable will not break while the truck is standing still. i have removed the winch from my truck and am saving it. *js

I just had the tread on my lt235 80r17 completely let go of the tire. just a big circle nof tread. i was driving down us 60 leaving phoenix, az. heading towards superior, az. as i approached gonzolus pass. which by the way is a heck of a deep canyon. *tr

Purchased (4) b.f. goodrich all-terrain t/a truck tires (lt305/65r17) in august, 2007. took a trip to las vegas, and noted sidewall cracking adjacent to bead on all 4 tires. when tires were purchased, one would not balance and i had to come back to pick up a replacement. the sidewall cracking on this tire is not as severe as the other 3. b.f.goodrich/michelin is giving me baloney about the tires not being driven enough and that "ozone-weathering" could be responsible! i have never had this sort of problem before and i maintain that the tires were defective from day one. their warranty is laughable, and their take on safety appears to be a joke. *tr

Erratic windshield wiper performance followed by complete failure of the wipers. wipers stalled in the center of the windshield in a thunderstorm while towing a 24,000 lb trailer on interstate 65 with semi truck/trailers on 3 sides. this was the 2nd incident of wiper failure. the first failure occurred about 6 months earlier. after leaving the truck parked overnite, the wiper operation returned to normal. i took the truck to my local dodge dealer after both occurrences. they could not find any problems with the wipers after the 1st occurrence while the truck was under warranty. after the 2nd occurrence i was told that the total integrated power module (tipm)had failed and needed to be replaced and since the truck was now out of warranty that i would have to pay for the replacement. i have not yet replaced the tipm. during both wiper failures, the driving situation was very dangerous because road spray covered the windshield and severely cut down visibility. *tr phone interview update (10/01/09): owner took the vehicle in for repairs after tipm (total integrated power module )was diagnosed to be the cause of the wiper failure mode. owner states that the tipm was replaced and had multiple failure modes occur including : inoperable wipers, flipped turn signals, and inoperable cruise control. the owner took the vehicle back for repairs and the multifunction swithc was replaced. owner states no further problems.
