Tl* the contact owns a 2006 dodge ram 3500. the contact stated that while traveling 58 mph, steam emitted from under the hood. the vehicle stalled and the steering became difficult to maneuver. the contact applied the brakes and merged to the side of the road. the contact stated that after inspecting the vehicle, he noticed that the fuel lines erupted causing a fuel leak. the vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic. the technician diagnose that the fuel lines needed to be replaced. the vehicle was repaired and the failure recurred. the manufacturer was contacted. the failure mileage was 68,000 and the current mileage was 69,925.
Tl* the contact owns a 2006 dodge ram 3500. the contact stated that while driving 70 mph, there was smoke seen from the hood area. the contact later discovered that the number 4 injector line was cracked near the engine side of the fitting, which was leaking a large amount of fuel into the engine compartment. the vehicle was taken toa dealer where it was diagnosed that the number 4 injector line needed to be replaced. the manufacture was not made aware of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 115,000.
