Recently reported EQUIPMENT problems on 2005 Dodge Ram 3500

I was passing a truck on the highway and when i pushed the throttle to the floor to kick in passing gear, the throttle stuck to the floor and would not release. i kept hitting the pedal but it would not release. i was lucky enough to have a semi clear road ahead of me or it would have been disastrous. i had it towed to a dealership and they could not locate the problem. i took it to a second dealership and was in contact with chrysler corp. and opened up a case, case # 18964704 and have been in contact with brandon but nothing has been resolved. this problem happened on sept. 16, 2009. i did an internet search and found listings of the same problem. i feel this is a serious problem and should be reported. i am looking at trading in the truck at this time because it is such a safety issue. i have only driven the truck 2 times since the incident. once to the dealership and one time to work. please help. chrysler is not returning my phone calls anymore. *tr

Dt*: the contact stated while in reverse with the driver side door open and wearing the seat belt the out-of park alarm sounded. the out-of park alarm was installed on the vehicle under nhtsa recall # 05v462000. when contacting the manufacturer it was determined the out-of park alarm should not sound when the seat belt is being worn.

I was driving my pickup in my driveway, and had to place the vehicle in park and exit the vehicle leaving the motor running. about 10 seconds after exiting the vehicle it stopped running. i have seen on internet forums that this is a relatively common occurance, and it unfortunately happens on the roadways so i feel so far i have been fortunate.
