I own a 2006 dodge ram 2500 truck with approximately 57000 miles on it and it started acting erratically with the lights and wipers and now the battery completely goes dead. we have replaced the battery and checked for drain on the battery. in spite of turning everything off and unplugging anything which would cause a drain on the electrical system it still made a new battery go dead. it is very dangerous to drive it when the wipers act so funny and the dimmer switch fails to lower the beams. it would seem that the only solution is to take it to the dealer at a considerable expense to see what is wrong. the manufacturer should investigate and repair any defect in materials for the truck with that few miles on it. *tr

Violent shaking from the front of the pickup nearly causes crash. dodge tried to repair after first incident in september of 2008. internet blogs/forums calls this the "infamous dodge pickup death shake". *tr

Bought a used 2006 dodge ram 2500 trx4 with the 5.9l cummins. driving home from the used car dealership, my turn signal switch was not working properly. it would vary from when i had in the left turn position, sometimes the right blinker would flash too, or nothing would blink. sometimes, when i make a right turn and initiate the right turn signal, nothing flashes or if i put it in the left turn position, then the right turn signal flashes. i purchased it used on sep 1, 2009; and this is my first dodge and more importantly, a life-threatening equipment fault/malfunction. i have read online several articles of this affecting several year model dodge ram 2500/3500 trucks. if this is known, why isn't a "recall" initiated and i as a user/consumer, now has to pay another $100 for a multi turn switch, from which i read, may malfunction within a year. *tr

Driving along a busy interstate at 65mph, after going over a small bump in the road the steering became so violent and uncontrollable. later read it is known as the dodge death wobble. seems it ha happened to more than just this dodge owner on a stock truck. why hasn't there been a recall, is chrysler waiting for someone to die before they react? why be reactive when you can be proactive with all the complaints that have already been noted. *tr

I was driving a dodge sprinter, and i stopped on a light to wait for a green to came, and when i stared moving, and all of the sudden i had to make stop, because a car on front of me, stopped, i pushed a brakes a few times, and it didn't work, and after i made an accident, someone tried a car, and it did work! i found this material on the web site, that i will give you a link to it. it will help you! http://www.automotix.net/autorepair/recalls/9149-recall/. *tr

The air conditioner blows warmer air out passenger vents than from the driver side vents. also, when we have it on face only air still comes out of the feet vents. we took it in and they said there was nothing they could do about it. we feel the a/c should cool more efficiently. *tr

1)the ac / heater motor starting making a loud vibrating sound and very little air was coming from the vents. 2). the recirculation door which is located above the fan (in the duct) broke and fell on top of the blower fan. this door controls weather outside air is used or the air is recirculated throughout the vehicle. as a result the ac/heater and most importantly the defroster would not work. an internet search of this problem reveals many different dodge years and models having the same problem. the part can be replaced by the dealership for a cost of approximately $700. the dash must be removed to replace the part. most people (along with me) are removing the fan motor and simple removing the recirculation door altogether which is a cheap semi-fix. one blog website can be seen at http://autoforum.classifieds1000.com/dodge-1500_pickup/a_c_fan_noise_excessive_a_c_air_flow_reduced?pg=5. 3). the part has not been replaced, the dealer will not do anything outside of warranty. the defroster now works after removing the door, but the ac system is not working as designed. as a result of not being able to recirculate the air, my compressor clutch (which you have to replace the whole compressor) went out due to over working of the system. this is a major safety concern if the door breaks and falls on the motor. the fan can rub on the door which can get hot and catch the truck on fire and/or the defroster will not work and the windows can fog up causing an accident. *tr

I own a 2006 dodge 1 ton crew cab truck. during the month of december i started to experience wheel bouncing when a hit a bump at speeds over 60 miles per hour. i contact the local dodge dealer, they look at it and said nothing was wrong. on december 20, 2006 i hit a bump on the interstate at nearly 70 miles per hour that put my truck into an uncontrollable shake, nearly hit the car next to me and slide sideways to a stop. very lucky that others were not hit or that i did not roll. i had the truck towed to springfield, mo and took it to central dodge. they immediately said it was the front steering stabilizer shock and that they have had numerous other incidents involving this part without even looking at the truck. they change the part and the problem is fixed, but something was troubling as the tech said he would replace it with something stiffer and stronger as they can only replace it with a factory part that he said has been a problem and is not big enough. *nm
