We have classified the 4 complaints from 2000 Dodge Ram 2500 about EQUIPMENT into the following categories.
2000 dodge ram 2500, dash board cracking and breaking leaving sharp exposed pieces of plastic. called dodge but have gotten no help thus far with the problem. i feel that this could cause serious injury if and accident occurred. it cracked when we opened the door on a hot sunny day and then it has cracked and broken more in the extreme cold weather when opening the door. *ln
Dash in my 2000 dodge 2500 is cracking and falling in which could cause electrical issues because of exposure to the sun. i have been checking on line and this seems to be hugh problem across the country. i believe dodge should be held accountable for putting such a poor quality product on the road, the way the dash is caving in could cause injury or death if the air bags deploy in a accident. *tr
I ordered a new replacement master brake cylinder for my 2000 dodge ram 2500 pick-up truck. it was ordered through national automotive lines in shellbyville il. the master cylinder they sent was from coni-seal of lakewood, nj 08701. when i went to bench bleed the master cylinder prior to installing it on my vehicle, the front brake fluid reservoir fluid turned red while bleeding it. i also got red stringgy debris about an 1/2 to 3/4 inch long from the inside of the master cylinder. the part # is mc250130. do not use this part!!!!!! as you know any foreign matter in the brake line could cause a brake to stick, not apply, or it could get into the anti-lock brake system and cause it to fail or malfunction. both parts displayed the same problem, so it appears the factory is doing something wrong, or someone is deliberately putting something in the master cylinder. if you do not bench bleed and do it on the car, you will not catch this and will put foreign matter into your brake system. this could have fatal results. i urge the d.o.t. and ntsb to investigate immediately before a fatal accident happens. *tr
Tl*the contact owns a 2000 dodge ram 2500. the contact ordered a coni-seal master cylinder, part number mc250130 (na) from national automotive. he bench bled the component and noticed that it was contaminated and caused the brake fluid to have a reddish discoloration. there were also huge particles in the fluid accompanied by large lumps of debris in the master cylinder. the debris could cause substantial damage to the brake system. the manufacturer sent a new identical component, which also failed. the serial number, part number, and location of the component were unavailable. the failure and current mileages were 147,000. updated 5/19/08 *cn the consumer stated the parts were defective right out of the box. updated

In july 2004 we took the truck in as it was not blowing cold air, they said that it was low on freon and had no visible leaks but possibly evap core leak. they put some sort of blue identifier in it and told us to check and see if we saw it anywhere so they would know where the leak is, nothing ever showed up. now 1 1/2 years later the air conditioner is not blowing cold air again. we even made sure that we turned the air conditioner on monthly as they told us to so it would not go bad. *jb
With less than 50,000 miles the air conditioner failed due to a faulty evaporator. repair cost was over $800.00.*ak
Twice now, i have been driving this truck when my engine suddenly stalled. 1. oct. 2001 - while driving on a mountain road (approximately 12% grade), the engine suddenly stalled. i was able to stop using the emergency brake. this occurred on a narrow mountain road, in heavy traffic. i directed traffic around me, and then attempted to restart the engine. fortunately, it started, and i drove it to the dealer. the lift pump was replaced. (part number 5015723ac pump) the odometer read 33,329. i was advised by the dealership to keep the fuel tank at least half full. at the time of the fuel pump failure, the tank was over half full. 2. may 2005 '' i was on a mountain road, going downhill. after stopping at a signal, when i started to accelerate, the engine was dead. again, this occured in heavy traffic. this time i had to be towed to the dealer. ''confirm complaint no lift pump pressure replace d lift pump engine starts but sets code for internal short in injection pump caused by fuel starvation from lift pump remove injection pump and replace bleed system and road test.'' part number 5080885aa-fuel line banjo part number r5013925aa pump - fuel injection mileage 84,754 '' the fuel tank was three-quarters full. this is a serious safety issue. if i was traveling at freeway speed when these failures occurred, the consequences might have been serious '' for myself and others close by.
