Nhtsa takata recall #'s 16v-325 and 15v-313... it had to have my drivers side airbag removed in may of 2015 and now my passenger side air back has to be replaced. in may of 2015 i was put on a list at my local dodge dealer to have the parts once available to be installed. its been over 2 years and they still do not have the parts available to install in my vehicle. they have also put me on the list for the list to have the passenger side airbag replaced. my issue is that i have to drive a vehicle that not only has an inoperable airbag, but also has one that can rupture. its unsafe and what happens if i get into a collision with non functioning airbags! my safety is at risk as well as any passengers i carry. i did not purchase this vehicle to have non functioning or incorrectly functioning components due to manufacturer default. a remedy to this situation should be established in a timely manner before someone else is killed or seriously injured due to these defects. please note federal motor vehicle safety standard number 208 (49 cfr 571.208 .........this issue is of an immediate safety concern. thank you for your attention to this matter

I filed a complaint in regards to the airbags on my 2007 dodge ram 1500. chrysler contacted me to tell me i needed to call my local dodge dealership to have my passenger side airbag fixed. i explained to them i have already spoken with the dealers and they keep telling me i will be added to a wait list with no answer as to how long it will be before they reach my name and that i am also on a wait list to have the part put in on my drivers side airback which i took in for a recall in early 2015! it still has not been fixed. they emailed saying they tried to contact me via phone at a number which is incorrect. i have given them my current phone number on multiple times. i just get the run around when i try to call them. i am now getting emails from them about this recall as if they are trying to cover their asses but when i contact the dealership for repairs its always the same response and that is i will be put on a waitlist. this issue is a major safety concern and i would like it remedied . i have been waiting over two years going on three for these new parts to be installed.

I received a letter that my truck was recalled for the drivers side air bags and parts are not available. 4 months later the parts are still not available and no one can tell me if it is safe to drive my truck. i have read all kinds of things and they make it sound like it is not safe but you never know. what am i suppose to tell my wife and 2 year old son. the dealers say they are not offering loaner or rental cars so i have no option but to drive my truck. my dealer did say to try to limit the driving until the parts come in which could be a year yet. how are you suppose to do that? i really think they need to be providing loaners to the vehicles that the drivers side air bag is affected. i am really hoping i am not in a accident or anything because no one knows what could happen. this really needs to be taken serious as there has been people seriously injured and killed. *tr
