While backing out my driveway i went to turn the wheel and there was a shudder ,i went to put the brakes on ,no brakes then the engine died. making me hit a parked vehicle .this happens on and off and should be addressed ,before there is an injury or death .come on dodge fix this!!!!! *kb

Tl*the contact owns a 2005 dodge ram 1500. the contact stated that the plastic emergency brake lever broke off. the vehicle was previously replaced by the dealer in october 2009 for the identical failure. the failure recurred again in october 2010. the vehicle was not repaired. the contact called the manufacturer who stated that they would repair the vehicle under warranty. the vin was unavailable. the current mileage was approximately 38,000. the failure mileage was approximately 25,000.
