We have classified the 333 complaints from 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 about AIR BAGS into the following categories.
I have repeatedly tried to book in my truck to have the airbag replaced at my local dealer shottenkirk's cherokee chrysler dodge jeep ram 200 liberty blvd, canton, ga 30114. it seems each of my last four of many visits they have either not the part in stock or would need the truck for an overnight or longer with no courtesy vehicle available each time. it does seem they just don't want to do it and make excuses or place obstacles in my way?
Every time i try and take my vehicle in to get the recalls fixed, the dealers tell me no parts are available and i will get a call when they come in. i have been ignored and have tried several times to get my truck fixed but no dealer ship will contact me.

In october 2015, i received a safety recall notice from fiat chrysler automobiles (fca), regarding the driver and/or passenger airbags. i immediately called windward dodge, kaneohe, hawaii, to schedule a repair appointment. i was told by the service advisor that the parts were on a large backorder and he would contact me once the parts arrived. since then, i received four more safety recall notices regarding the driver and/or passenger air bags. i called windward dodge several times to follow-up on parts availability, left messages for a call back with negative results. i received a phone call in november 2015 from fca alerting me of said safety recall. i informed fca that i have taken the steps to schedule the repair, but still have not heard back from the dealership. i was told by the fca rep that they will contact windward dodge and i should be expecting a call from them. i still have not received a phone call to date. it is now monday, 11 jan 16. if this is such an "important safety recall" like the notice says at the top of the page, then why is fca and their dealerships not acting with a sense of urgency to get these repairs done. appreciate the assist! thank you for your time. *tr
